TaylorBanksCarsonVanPelt
Our team was mostly built the last ten years as if we went deep into the playoffs each year... with expensive veteran players.
gmenroc
Engram is all about potential...and not quite reaching it.

Saquon/Sheppard and Slayton all had drops. Engram gets hammered because of the timing of the drops. He has wide receiver skills and speed, he can't block worth a damn so he can play elsewhere as an oversized receiver. There will be movement for him now with all the tight ends getting franchised

I think I'll be fine though, teams are not going to put up with his lack of follow up blocking for very long like we did. But he'll get a contract somewhere because he was drafted in the 2nd round. boohyah
He's made good catches also in the past, he just get hammered (and rightly so) for some bad drops. But he doesn't run bad routes and he clearly has the speed.
CrazedDogs
if by 'good catches' you mean that he seems to make the harder catches look easier than the easy catches, agreed, lol.

BlueInCanada
Fun fact I just read. This make 11 first round picks in a row that are no longer with the Giants or even had an extended stay. The last one? Kiwi.

Not to say all those players weren't worth their selection, though many were not, but between not getting the best out of the players who have gone in to have success elsewhere and overdrafting others.. Speaks volumes about coaching and managementt

CrazedDogs
Yikes. That fact needed a fact check. oh, maybe they meant Kiwi was the last first round pick to finish a second contract?.... um, except he was cut in 2015 with a year left on his deal. yeah, not sure about the research on that one....
