I don’t plan on any pick after the second ever seeing the field anyway so, whatever. It’s nice when they plan out but 3rd hit rate for starters has got to be low. I’ve gotten too excited over the years for 3rd and 4th round picks that I’m just jaded on anyone after the 2nd.

Round 2. Blake Fisher RT Notre Dame? Los of starting experience at RT and solid from what I’ve read.
-
Yeah I know they don’t HAVE to tell them. And those other situations eye all clearly guys entering the final stage of their career with really open talks about the teams needing to draft the successor. Not a situation like the falcons where the biggest thing they did this offseason was being in Kirk and give him a huge payday to BE that guy that got them over the hump and changed the franchise and before a snap is taken his replacement is taken with atop 10 pick instead of improving the team around their biggest acquisition. totally different situations. probably just a move that looks good on paper when you’re drawing it up that the moneyball type guys got excited about how clever they were but nobody with football experience said “hey, this is kind of fucked”. honestly feel worse for Penix. Arguably the best QB in the draft starting at potentially sitting for a few years anyway.
-
I know you’re all right. The only thing that makes me think this was a last minute fuck it pick they apparently didn’t even bring it up to Kirk at any point as being on the table. The either really fell for the smokescreens thinking there would be multiple trades to get McCarthy so that Nabors or alt would fall. or the Atlanta falcons have developed a master class at pre-draft secrecy.
-
Look I know it’s not realistic. But saw a TikTok that showed the falcons owner coming to the draft room to talk to the Gm. The assumption was he was pissed at the pick. Maybe he becomes available?
-
Yeah guess it's time to start looking at 2025 qbs.
-
But honestly, as great as Nabors is, as much of a need as it is - who is throwing him the ball? We know what Jones is, and we have no shot at Nix.
-
I'm honestly so conflicted. I think Nabors is great, absolutely my 2nd guy in the spot. But man am I sick that we missed out on the best QB in the draft that landed right in our laps - but we were too scared.
-
That's a future super bowl winner and league MVP going 2 spots later than us. Happy with Nabors, but I always new it was a dream we would land Penix if we passed at 6.
-
Told ya'll he'd go top 10.
-
Ok, happy with the pick - dissappointed it isn't Penix but love the WR pick.
-
I paid for sling, lol. We'll cancel again. But FYI - I stopped using Sportsurge and started using Reddit streams. Not sure the website, but I google Reddit NFL streams and it's the first 1 or 2 links. Kind of similar to SS but I've found you can find more reliable streams on there. And they obviously do more than NFL. It's how I watch Texas Rangers game since I canceled Youtube TV

NE didn't want to risk Minny trading up to 4 or 5 and scooping McCarhty
-
Based on the time it took to make the pick, bet this is a Eli-Rivers situation. If McCarthy makes it to 6, we take him and swap with NE.
-
Based on the most likely options
-
My gut is we go wr. Especially if someone jumps to 4 or 5 for McCarthy.
-
Obviously I have a favorite. I don’t know enough about any other player to be disappointed if we draft them. I’d like a qb to know we have a direction, but can’t argue against one of the receivers. If we go wr at 6, is like to see aggressively pursuing getting into the back of rd 1 for Nix. But. Penix all the way. At 6 or later. That’s the guy.

ESPN content producer @PaulHembo calculated the percentage of 1st-round picks that “hit” or “miss,” based upon whether that player signed a second contract with the team that drafted them. The data encompasses the 20 drafts spanning 2000-2019. Here are

Herc was one of the biggest voices to draft him that year too. Not relevant I just remember that being your guy Herc. -

All those guys. Especially Phillips. I think Steve smith is entirely a product of the injuries. He was more than living up to and exceeding expectations I think. -

I thought Clint Sintim was going to be the next great giants linebacker. i also thought Josh Rosen was going to be great. however I was totally right about Josh Allen, I was sure he would be special. -
Lol, I feel like I am willing this into reality.
