(Cue Orchestral fanfare heavy with brass and drums - Baron TBCvP "The Bastard" Mara is pacing back and forth in his lair...) TBCvP: (Talking to himself) He has spurned me for the moment ....the Chosen One .....BB The Prodigal...what shall I doooo? TBCvP: (sudden inspiration alights in TBCvP's dark and twisted mind) Yes...that is the answer...I will summon him forth, bend him to my dark will and make him my apprentice. Much was given up ...with not enough to show for it as of yet master. TBCvP: DO WHAT MUST BE DONE Dark Lord, go forth....spare no one ...not even the younglings. You will bring in veteran help to push Project OCP (aka Opie Cookie Puss) to new heights. And you will keep a short leash and a watchful eye on Cheer Leader. TaylorBanksCarsonVanPelt
i agree. this ownership is clueless They are a lot alike a British captain of a heavey cruiser in WWII (disclaimer: this never happened): Chief Engineer Barclay: Sir, we are dead in the water with no hope of regaining maneuvering power in less than a day Captain F.U. Stiff Upper: Very good Barclay...carry on. Chief Navigator Leftenant Stiles: Sir, we are trapped in the most dense field of mines I have ever encountered.... Captain F. U. Stiff Upper: Very good Stiles...no worries... we will find a way out. Officer of the Day Jameson: Torpedoes....SIR! At least 6...repeat at least 6 wakes in the water... Commander Pike: Sir it has to be a wolf pack.... Captain F.U. Stiff Upper: Now I have had enough of this defeatism as I can stand for one morning....dismissed gentlemen. (the Captain turns to the annunciator and speaks). Donnelson (the Captain's steward) where is that Earl of Grey, hmmmm? {The cameras shift to a full panoramic view of the HMS Giant's Folly as she literally evaporates into a cloud of metal, steam, and all things British.... Substitute Giants' Folly for Giants Front Office and you have a nice little window into their mindset.

Herc
Arnt you one of the guys that wanted to hire Fox, Belichick, Weiss, Payton....All ex Giants coaches....How many time did we wish we had hired from with in? you must be confusing me with someone else. a) i would gladly take fox bellicek (even though i dont like him) and weiss--but that's because of their track record as head coaches, not because they used to coach here. and those were george young/jim fassel/bill parcells hires, not mara/tische hires like coughlin. b) i never wanted payton--i thought he would be a very shitty coach. i was wrong, obviously. c) im glad reese is the gm because of his track record in the draft and the fact that george young had confidence in him as a scout. that tells me he can recognize talent. it has nothing to do with him being an inside man with the mara/tische clique--if anything that would normally discourage me as i think they're a bunch of baffoons
