What is your true opinion of Eli Manning?

Best QB to ever put on Giant's blue.

He may not be remembered as the most accurate, or what be in the same division of the likes of his older brother, Montana, Brady, whoever.

But he will be remembered for one thing, winning.

4th quarters comebacks, playoffs, and SBs, he's won them all, and in a city known for chewing up players and spitting them out if they don't perform the moment they step into the spotlight.

I think the Giants are going to sorely miss Eli when he decides to move on, because getting a player like him is a one in a era type of deal.

yes , agreed BIC , ( Eli's ability to totally shit the bed one week and then bounce back and play brilliantly the next week is both frustrating and amazing )

That's cool with me. Personally, I take the good along with the bad. I posted a thread on the official website (TAGF) that I was burned out by the mistakes that he makes. However, he is still a good to great QB. IMO, he compares similarly to Brett Favre. He will make a shit load of plays and mistakes all at the same time. He is absolutely the best QB in franchise history. With Eli, you just have to accept the the bad with the good.

I personally think the 4th quarter quarterback is a thing of the past. I used to have confidence that if we get the ball in the fourth, down a score, that we were coming away with a win. Now, we are going to be coming away with a back breaking interception.

Agree with above. Will miss Eli once he's done. He doesn't let the NY media eat him alive. Dude will never get the credit he deserves.

You know how it is. People don't appreciate what they have until it is gone. Then and only then will Eli fully get the appreciation and respect that he deserves.

It is definitely strange that Eli hasn't come through for us late like he used to. Some people point to the 2013 season as a year that changed him. Shit, that was a rough year for him and us as fans.

This. Or a back breaking fumble.

I haven't seen any fourth quarter heroics in a long time.

Did you get banned for not drinking the big blue kool-aid?

...or burn 0.17 off the clock before punting it back.

Likewise.

He's earned it. All too soon, it will be next man up.

Played poorly by his standard last week, but on the balance I don't think he's ever been better than he is right now.

As far as finding the next QB is concerned, I would prefer if they found his replacement while he is still here. That way, it will be more of a smooth transition.

This except I'm going to add that he'll be remembered for being probably the most disrespected QB of this era as well.

As much as I'd like to happen, the only reason JR and MacAttack are still here, are to get the last few years out of Eli.

Unless they pull a SB out of their asses I cant see them staying after Eli retires, it will probably be a whole new regime change from top to bottom and the hunt for a new QB.

I just dont see them blowing a first/second on a QB when they are trying to milk Eli for one more miracle run, when that could be a WR/TE/LB or something to help immediately.

I mean very very rarely do you ever see a team go from Lord Favor to Rodgers, heck Manning to Luck hasnt even worked out for the Colts.

I agree with your last sentence. It is not going to be easy. Teams rarely get good franchise QBs back to back like that. Personally, I wouldn't mind if they invested in a future QB that early in either the upcoming draft or the one after that. At some point, it will have to be addressed. We certainly know that Nassib has no future here after this season.

Love him. I never get mad at him

Same here. Disappointed, yes. Mad, no.

Really gonna miss him when he's done. Can't imagine who will "fit" in his place. We're going to stink for years trying to find our savior.
