  1. Its mostly a function of price. I can't recall though, did Rice have impact injuries or repeated knee ligament damage? If the former, at the right price, go for it. If the latter... the guy is probably done.
  2. Tuck had a good season, first relatively healthy season he's had in a while too.
  3. why are we still talking about the Bowman play? Didn't the 49ers get the ball on the next play anyway, except several yards further downfield? If anything, the refs error worked in their favor.
  4. Yeah, DT was the real choke artist in this game. He played the worst game I've ever seen him play.
  5. I don't think Peyton choked. The first was a poor throw under duress. It happens. the second one was a product of poor blocking and a runningback who couldn't be bothered to come back to the fluttering, deflected pass. Lots of people on the Broncos choked.... I don't think Peyton was one of them. Its not like it was an evenly matched game until he pulled a Romo. That game was over from the first snap.
  6. Good for him. Got to do what you got to do.
  7. nah, I got burned by that shit too. I DVRed it, then it was nothing but 30 min of douchebags on a plane.
  8. .... when he went the right direction. He wasn't above some really ugly mental lapses out there.
  9. He did seem to be running different plays this season too. In prior years his game was predicated on the slant or hooks to the back shoulder/sideline. Barely saw those at all in 2013. I get that teams were sitting on the back shoulder throw because they weren't scared of Nicks beating them deep, but what happened to the slant?
  10. Two words for you: Mike Wallace. And thats all I have to say about that.
  11. oh man, I've been hard on the guy, but comparing him to Albert Haynesworth? thats too far.... I'd almost get a chubby if the Giants could get him for $7 million per. He's that good.
  12. LOL, Sherman has one hell of an act. I'll give him this: he knows how to get his name out there.
  13. yeah, I was surprised how much I enjoyed watching the Eagles offense once Foles took over. (Just as a football fan, of course. As a Giants fan, I was completely disgusted.) But Kelly's offense, well, I think the uptempo stuff is mostly a load of bullshit, but the important thing is he presents the D with nothing but damned if you do, damned if you don't choices. Unlike the Giants read-and-react offense, he's got the Eagles picking a spot to attack and forcing the D to react. Its good stuff... very good stuff.
  14. oh, that was Macadoo's call? If so, this sounds almost like a head-coach-in-training....
  15. I am curious if Macadoo will be bringing in his own offense, or if he'll just be working with Coughlin's offense.
  16. ::sigh:: you're breaking my dreams Nem. Its January and I'm left rooting for fucking Denver... all I have is the hope that everybody the Giants sign and draft will be the greatest ever. The Greatest!!
  17. true. But I'd feel a lot better if he were a backup.
  18. Our love of Paysinger is sort of like celebrating a solid turd after experiencing explosive water shits.
  19. Indeed. But you guys have me hyped on Macadoo. Sounds quality.
  20. you really think he can keep that up? Seemed like every time I turned on an Eagles game, someone was dropping an interception. Of course he could come 'back to earth' and still have good numbers... his short season stats were ridiculous. He's a hell of a lot better than Vick, thats for damn sure. Well... Better the Eagles than the Cowboys.
  21. oh... was one of the answers 'Not Foles'? Because I'm still not sold. That was a David Garrard season. But Kelly did better than I thought.
  22. I agree, he's been moved around so much. Its kind of a shame he never got a chance to play in a 3-4, he did well at linebacker just so long as the Giants were playing 3-4 concepts.... i.e., no pass coverage, just as a stand up rusher or eating up blockers.
  23. fishgut, good post btw, wish I had time to really respond to everything here. I mostly agree, lots of good thoughts that I hope the Giants brass share.
  24. Kiwi was a bum for the first 12 games, but I thought he came on in the last quarter of the season. Wonder if he got put on notice, because he actually had some fire out there, I saw him tossing a few guys around. And Tuck was good all season, he just had better luck at the end of the year. Best season Tucks had in a while, and probably no coincidence that its also been his healthiest season in a while.
