To be clear about my opinion, Jones is ass. But if he has a great year, and leads a severely injury-riddled team to an 8-9 record, I think that proves that he’s (by some miracle, turned into) a franchise QB. And I mean actually ‘great’, like MVP numbers. And I mean injury-riddled, like Coughlin is fucking coaching. That’s what I’d need to see to want to run it back with Jones after an 8-9 season.

plus the dude spent his first offseason training like a body builder instead of a football player. hopefully he learned some lessons from that, he came into 2023 jacked but stiff.

….I’m pretty light on prospect knowledge this year though. Of the handful of guys I’ve watched, my pick for surprise top prospect bust is….. Caleb Williams. I think he’s going to be more Jameis Winston than Patrick Mahomes.

I look at it like this…. McCarthy is a better prospect than Jones, who we also took at 6. So, ok, I guess? trade up for him? Thursday is going to turn into a bender.

It’s the highlight throws that get some folks fired up for Maye. His best throws are the best in this class…. supposedly. He had some ridiculous misfires in real games too, so I’m uneasy about the guy. Of course, I thought Josh Allen was Jamarcus Russell with better conditioning, so what do I know.

any interest we once had in fostering went out the window after talking to some folks who already did it. What a nightmare, for the kids, and for people who try to help too. The one that put me over the top on it was when there was a violent kid placed in their home, hurting their other children, and the system was like 'ha! tough shit, now you're stuck with the little psycho! we hope, but don't really care, that your biological kids survive the experience!'

That depends on the QB, but QBs go high because they’re so rare.
