  1. Anybody who gets to the Super Bowl with Rex Grossman as his QB has earned some points in my book. I'm going to step back from the kool aide... all this game really proved is that the Redskins profoundly suck. And as long as the Giants keep winning, I'm going to keep being a negative ass.
  2. That was one of the finest QB performances I've ever seen, even better than the stats indicate, and its a hell of a line. The INT and several of his incompletions hit the receiver in his hands. Offensive line looked decent too.
  3. I don't care what anyone says, I love me some Lovey.
  4. One would think, but Tampa to Atlanta wasn't much of a commute either. oh shit, my bad. okay, okay... BOLD prediction.... Eli passes for a career high yardage, but the Giants still lose due to special teams miscues and some Reuben Randle jackassery.
  5. I agree. Plus the Thursday road game is killer. Probably not even going to be this close.
  6. About Donnell's fumble, the man's football skills are raw, we know this. But I noticed the next time he touched the ball, he carried the ball in his outside arm; I'm encouraged that the next play out he corrected his mistake from the fumble. Not everybody can correct themselves on the fly like that, its a good sign. He's a big guy, catches with his hands, and shows a lot of agility. He's good enough to win with.
  7. He does flash occasionally, but never more than he did his rookie season. I'm just about ready to give up on him.
  8. another year of virtually no injuries and, either this edition of the Eagles are the luckiest sons of bitches ever, or they really are on to something special in their approach to physical conditioning.
  9. lol, but I thought you said it was their conditioning... drink up man, its delicious! thats a good pick, they look solid. And deep. A lot like Seattle in some ways.
  10. duh, they weren't playing in week 1. I doubt the Eagles look that bad again all season. I'm sure, you're a fan and I'm not. Personally, the quality of my football opinions end the moment the Giants come into it. I trust my eyes on everyone else.
  11. lol, you guys are crazy... Jones had multi year stints with three NFL teams. Paysinger will play for the Giants and his career will end when the Giants cut him.
  12. Hopefully it goes better than Stanton time did.
  13. I saw the 2nd half of the Indianapolis game... did you mean that the officials were spent by the fourth quarter? Because to me, Indianapolis looked like they were still in it and going strong. I'm not sure when he said it, but it was a topic on Mike & Mike this morning.
  14. man, Dhani Jones had like a ten year career... I'd be shocked if Paysinger comes anywhere close to that.
  15. I didn't see that. I saw poor play calling compounded by a loser mentality. Look at Jacksonville's play choice on offense from the first half the second half - first half, they took what was given and sustained drives. Second half they were pressing for chunk plays. They played like they couldn't believe they had a lead. It was one of the worst efforts I've ever seen. They may be very good in this respect, but I am not buying that the Eagles conditioning methodology is that far ahead of the rest of the NFL. oooh, biometrics, so innovative!... but biometrics is so fucking old, I learned about it in a couple sports video games in the early '90s. Chip Kelly sure didn't invent it, there's no way that other teams aren't already doing something similar. In the NFL, a team with superior conditioning may be able to swing a game in their favor later in the fourth quarter... but not during halftime when everyone is resting. There just isn't that much difference from the best team to the worst. And now that I've crapped on the Jaguars, its a safe bet they'll get their shit together in time to play the Giants. Damn it.
  16. Its a very, very weak 3-0. The Indianapolis game was a gift from the refs, and the way the Eagles were playing in week 1 against Jacksonville, I think ANY other team beats them going away. But I have to admit, I gain respect for Chip Kelly every time I watch them play. I thought his was a gimmick offense, and I was so wrong about that.
  17. Just based on the eyeball test, I think Nicks is playing well. Indianapolis has a couple other good receivers too though.
  18. oh wow, thats not how I see Amukamara at all. Seems to me he's a very good in run support for a cornerback.
  19. Hard for me to call that "better"... the Eagles got a gift, they would have lost but for poor officiating. Rather see the officials screw up the game evenly for both teams.
  20. See you in two weeks... .500, here we come!
