  1. Thats what I'm afraid of too. He doesn't need much separation to be effective...this season he wasn't getting any separation. On some plays I chalked it up to a lack of effort... but maybe that was just his best. Damn it.
  2. Perhaps it was correct.... but it was also classless.
  3. He's a back biter. Remember him crapping on Eli as soon as he went into the media? I get why... but it sure wasn't going to endear him to Giants fans, especially after the team turned around and won a championship, basically proving Tiki to be full of shit. And it appears he's turned into a sad, bitter little man.
  4. and some revisionist history in there about the Giants not signing Ronde... it was depicted like Ronde wasn't a top player when he was a free agent, but man, I knew back then how good he was... lots of people did. Shame that didn't happen... Barber blames Sehorn, sounded bitter about it too. Anybody catch Tiki on NFL AM shitting all over Brandon Jacobs? He also got a little prickly with Jim Fassel - to his face, credited Sean Payton with the team going to the Super Bowl in 2000.
  5. yeah, really brought back how much fun to watch he was those last few years. Why he had to go full douche I'll never understand....
  6. The problems on the offensive line were news to nobody, but I thought he threw Nicks under the bus more than anyone. All but said Nicks isn't a number one receiver.
  7. oh for christs sake, the Patriots draft projects too, just like every other team. Shall I put together a list? Fuck it, I'm too lazy for all that - one example, Chandler Jones - first round pick, workout warrior, little to no college production. Forgettable WR from Florida a couple years ago, all combine talent, no football skill. Spent a 2nd round pick on him.
  8. damn, I jinxed the Eagles. damn damn damn.
  9. I've got a good feeling about your chances against the Saints. Really, I like your chances against the 49ers too, Kaepernick is exactly what I thought he was - they should have stuck with Alex Smith... hate to say it, but I liked the Eagles chances more and more, each time I watched them this season; steadily improving team, lots of talent at a few positions. With good QB play they can go far. With elite QB play?.... ...I have noticed that Foles turns to jello when the rush is in his face... so I'm very interested to see what happens when he plays a team that can really get after it.
  10. I heard he was getting drunk and bringing hookers or groupies into his office.
  11. I think I'd rather have Norv Turner... strange situation up there in Cleveland, firing the head coach, keeping the assistants, but the assistants (or at least, Norv) desperately want out. Getting canned may have been the best thing to happen to Chudzinski. The Browns front office implied there was stuff going on behind the scenes... shades of Fassel.... poor character, poor leadership, I don't know what.... so I'm not really sure if Chudzinski was the problem, or if it is their convenience store quality ownership.
  12. Tampa has no talent and had Bush League Schiano for a head coach. I'm not holding that against Sullivan. I think lost in all this Killdrive, 'we need a new system!' stuff, is that the system is really Tom Coughlin's. There are run and shoot aspects of it - the WR route tree, for example - but the underlying system isn't going to change no matter who is brought in as OC, including those pass route concepts. I'm just hoping whoever it is has a fresh take on it and can smooth out some of the operational and communication problems. I also think they need to factor in the lack of practice time. That makes it a different game out there, it takes some of the precision on it. Going forward, I don't think they need to alter the 'system' per say, but they sure need to pay closer attention to what the offense is and is not capable of running.
  13. I like Pete Carroll, I thought he didn't get enough of a chance in New England. I like Russell Wilson. I like the way the Seahawks play football. I even like Richard Sherman. Its the uniforms. I'm for equal rights and all that, but the Seahawks uniforms are like fucking gay pride flags.
  14. I can't root for Philly, mostly because of Eagles fan friends.... if they had some hardware there would go half my football trash talk ammo. I'm rooting for Denver or Cincinnati in the AFC... in the NFC, I guess I'll swallow hard and root for Seattle.
  15. haha, yeah, even with his down year, I don't think there's any way he's offered less than $8 million per year. From someone, not necessarily the Giants.
  16. I would like to see plays come in from the sideline faster and more no huddle. And most of all, when something is working, don't let up until they prove they can stop it.
  17. oh, the system is fine from an Xs and Os perspective... better than fine. Not sure that a new system would be great for a 30+ yo Eli either. I have no problem with the plays they're running, they just need to run them at the right times. Gilbride has always had a tendency to get playbook tunnel vision; Buddy Ryan didn't take a swing at him for nothing. Last season was a new low for him though; more than a few times it seemed like he wasn't even watching the game.
  18. congrats... the Eagles were clearly the best team in the NFC East this season, they deserve it. I definitely see some chinks in his armor, but at least he runs that offense better than Vick ever did. And unlike Vick, I have no reason to believe he is merely an athletic shit pile masquerading as a human being. But I want to see him play well against Seattle or San Francisco before I crown his ass.
  19. in fairness, they were pretty damn injured this season too. not all over the roster like in 2003, but over and over again at guard and center, running back, etc. football is one of those games where you're only as strong as your weakest link; the Giants were weak to begin with at those spots, and got hit over and over again where they could least afford it. can't imagine how bad it would have been had Beason and a couple other linebackers went down... this would have been a historically bad team.
  20. I could not fucking care less if the win cost us a couple positions in the draft.
  21. Jernigan's play yesterday makes me wonder why he wasn't on the field sooner... dude looked like a a less dick-headed DeSean Jackson out there.
  22. yeah, Schwartz and his team are bush league. And let the record show that in the Lions biggest game of the season, Suh got shut down by a guard/center tandem from off the street.
  23. I think they were 10-6 two of the seasons they didn't make the playoffs.
