  1. I believe it, I was higher on Wilson. Thought he would be a special player, and he sure showed some of that last season. I would have been happy with Martin too, but I saw him as more of a solid grinder, a Ray Rice type player. But Wilson has... had... hall of fame potential.
  2. I didn't... Wilson is faaaaar more talented than the Muscle Hamster.
  3. he wasn't getting good reviews this season.
  4. I wondered the same thing, but I think Frazier wanted to get a particular package on the field. Last three plays were all loaded with A gap pressure, it was a change up... and an effective one at that. I think he saw something... same thing I saw.... RGIII panics with pressure in his face. Good outside contain + A gap pressure = ineffective RGIII.
  5. yeah, Brian Hartline said the same thing. Is it possible that this story is entirely media driven? ::gasp:: I am shocked! Maybe Martin has other issues....
  6. Gorilla, this was a story days before that voice mail went to the media. The n-bomb is an afterthought.
  7. I've heard some murmurs that Incognito was a real problem beyond just being a scrappy guy on the field. I'm amazed that the Dolphins didn't know more about it.
  8. probably any lineman who wants to keep his job.
  9. And was promptly removed from the game. I really think he just rubs Coughlin the wrong way. Knowing next to nothing about his personality, only seeing his potential, I leave him in there and let him work it out. In the NFL you have to know when to hold 'em, and know when to fold 'em... and this kid has always had the best hand at the table, he doesn't know what it is to have to fold. Hence lots of effort-related fumbles, ala Ricky Watters. The Giants lost 6 straight games anyway... as little as Wilson was on the field during that period, the team would have been no worse off though that period with him getting a feature back's workload. And would have been better off going forward, with a more confident, experienced player at runningback. This of course being a hypothetical world in which 1) Wilson doesn't get injured, and 2) he isn't (apparently) an immature little prick whom the head coach cannot stand.
  10. I would agree, but with the way they limit contact in practice these days... well, practice time, period... you need touches in a real game to get experience. Wilson has been carrying the ball since he was like 7, and until last season he was always by far the most explosive guy on the field.... those bad habits aren't going to go away overnight. With his neck issues, it may be a moot point.
  11. yeah, I was dead wrong about Beason. Dude can flat out play.
  12. not sure why you're talking about the Giants here, but 'our' O-line is different at 3 positions than it was in Super Bowl XLVI
  13. against whom the Giants beat themselves. not that week 1 games are worth all that much, predicatively speaking, but you can't seriously tell me that the week 1 game showed that the Cowboys would win a majority of games against the Giants. That game was Christmas come early for the Cowboys.
  14. It was only 13? It seemed like a lot more than that to me... oh well. Sucks about JPP's back. I think when the team is mathematically eliminated they should just shut him down.
  15. just to play devils advocate, the pass rush was getting home against Minnesota, but Freeman was getting the ball out of there in time, just not on target. it may be a different story if/when JPP gets back in game shape. Which should be.... NOW.
  16. yeah, but the TD return was bullshit. He only got there thanks to two blocks in the back and the most ticky tacky 'horsecollar' tackle penalty anyone will ever see.
  17. haha, I love watching him run, but he put it on the ground a lot. Just looked it up... way more fumbles than I would have guessed. Even had a 10 fumble season.
  18. Yes, we're all terrified of Matt Barkley.
  19. he was out of football before I was old enough to see him play in real time, but I grew up watching his highlight reels. Story I remember hearing about Campbell is that his conditioning was notoriously poor... the guy couldn't run a mile without a breather. And look at how he carries the ball... Coughlin wouldn't let that guy on the field.
  20. They could have had me at QB last night, I wouldn't have done any worse than Freeman. $10 million, thats fucking absurd.
