No secret Giants want a QB

Recommended Posts

Oh...there is no question they're moving on...and he will be on 2024 roster.  Whether his replacement comes now, we get a bridge FA, we draft a guy in 2024 or 2025...that is the debate.

It's not if, but when.

And I don't expect much trade value in a lame duck QB..so that sucks

Just as much as Schoen and Team are posturing for a QB, I would not be surprised if much of their public very blatant show of interest in a QB is to try to entice other teams in the market to potentially try to trade up the the #6 pick for a QB (e.g. Denver, Las Vegas, Minnesota).

But realistically I think they really want to move on from DJ. I hope Jayden Daniels falls or we trade for him.

If Jayden Daniels isn't available, I could see the giants trading out of the #6 pick. Maybe the Jets, Atlanta, Denver etc trades with us, or something like that.

Yeah as much as I want a QB if they can't get a top 3 guy then take the next best thing.

Nabers is my far and away best value pick with Marvin JR off the board by 6.

Dude is a difference maker however I fear by the time we have a QB he's gone through a few losing seasons and wants out.

I wonder if the Giants could get Minshew in free agency.

Or take Joe Alt and kick him to RT.

But this is the best chance the Giants will have in awhile to get one of the higher rated QBs.

Yeah for me, if no Jayden Daniels, take Nabers, Odunze, or Bowers. I also would not mind trading down and taking the best defensive player (the top 10 of the draft will consist of a run on QBs, then WR/Bowers, then OL, and I think some quality defensive players may slip through. We can use help on the DL and at CB.

For OL, personally I'd like to address this via two quality starting capable free agent OL, plus depth. I'd rather not try a draft a LT to RT project again. Jermaine Eluemunor at RT makes sense, plus bring in one of the top guards; move Neal to G. Then draft for depth in the mid rounds.

For veteran QB's I'd like Minshew or Brissett.

I said before that when we get closer to the draft another qb will shoot up the boards.   This year it was McCarthy who is now being mocked in the top 6.

I still think 3 QBs and a WR go top 4.  5th spot will be either WR or OT.

Leaves us in a good spot to trade down of someone wants that 4th QB...or if we stay, we are looking at Odunze/Nabors/Alt/Olu.

If we do trade down, I don't wanna go any lower than 15...but even that might be pushing it.  Top 10 if you can, top 15 if you must.

I'd love to trade with the Jets at #10, which will likely be Odunze or Bowers, and/or even consider taking the top defensive player available.

Vet minimum. Get a wide receiver with the first pick. Try to fix the line in free agency.

That seems basic, particularly after getting his ego checked in Denver maybe he won't be such a locker room cancer.

What's the down side if they really are over #8 ?

It could be he needs a place to prove something to the people that are now saying he was the key cog in the worst trade in NFL history.

Sadly I do not think the Giants would be able to get him to sign with us, at least the Sportsbooks do not think so

Draft Kings Sportsbook released odds for the other 31 NFL teams to be Wilson's next team and one team is a big favorite: The Pittsburgh Steelers.

The team is given -200 odds to land Wilson. The Las Vegas Raiders are next, at +275, with the Atlanta Falcons third at +400. The New England Patriots come in at +750 to round out the Top 5.

Here are every team's chances (besides the Broncos) to sign Wilson, according to the sportsbook:

  • Steelers: −200
  • Raiders: +275
  • Falcons:+400
  • Patriots: +750
  • Vikings: +1000
  • Commanders: +2000
  • Buccaneers: +2000
  • Titans: +3000
  • Giants: +3000
  • Bears: +4000
  • Panthers: +4000
  • Saints: +5000
  • Seahawks: +6000
  • Jets: +7500
  • Colts: +10000
  • Lions: +10000
  • Cardinals: +10000
  • Dolphins: +10000
  • Rams: +10000
  • Chargers: +10000
  • Ravens: +15000
  • 49ers: +15000
  • Eagles: +15000
  • Browns: +20000
  • Jaguars: +25000
  • Cowboys: +25000
  • Chiefs: +30000
  • Texans: +30000
  • Packers: +30000
  • Bengals: +30000
  • Bills: +30000
