Mr. P
Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter 1m After giving the Giants a chance to improve their offer, DE Justin Tuck is accepting a two-year, $11 million deal with the Oakland Raiders.
Nas
wow the Giants didn't want to offer the guy $5.5M a year? that's fucking crazy... but again, Tuck isn't getting any younger and I think they want to move on...
MikeGL
2 years lol While I'm okay without Tuck because his lackadaisical self, I still think we need help on the D-line

Nas
"out of the blue and into the black" -Neil Young more into a black hole. Players go to the raiders to collect a bigger paycheck than they're really worth and fade into the sunset.
Sephiroth
Agreed. It's where the old players go to die.

MikeGL
Yeah I don't get why people would be upset. I'm only upset because I have no idea what happens if JPP doesn't fully recover or hurts himself.

nosebleedjints
We couldn't spend that money on him. Sucks to see him go though. Thanks for that first superbowl What about the second super bow? I don't see why the Giants could not match, very reasonable for a starting DL who play the run, pass, and is a team leader.
Herc
well he was a much bigger part of the 1st superbowl. he was one of the two best players on the field that day
boohyah
There goes my Tuck jersey. Great first few years as a Giant, but the last 2 years have been so so. This last year was very misleading, he wasn't as good as the stats showed. Any explosion off the line he had when he was younger had pretty much gone the year after superbowl 46. But he seemed to be a genuine stand up guy off the field, no trouble and anyone I know who dealt with him says he's good people. He deserves a final payday and the Raiders have shitloads to spend. JMFP
He got his payday, and you'd have to think the Raiders would pay big money for him......they fucking live off jamming us in free agency and the draft.

Got it done on the ultimate stage. Your jerseys are fine gents. He's a Giant for life. And after his year or two with the Raiders. He'll sign a one day deal and retire as a Giant. gmenroc
Tuck was a good combination against the run and pass. That was his calling card. He was in the mold of Strahan in that regard, though quite as good. I'm still surprised the Giants didn't match the offer. It'd be nice to know what the Giants DID offer him. Either way, he was good for us for a time and I'm thankful for it. I hope he rots in hell with the Raiders.
MikeGL
Him going to Oakland is fine. It's not like he went to another NFC East team lol
Tempest
Well good for him, bad for us. It does put more pressure on the team to find help on the first day for the defensive line because we are looking very thin now.
