Manningham says new trio much better than the old one

The old trio was better. Steve Smith WAS a beast. Was.

We utilized his talents exquisitely.

Victor Cruz is a work in progress and is being severly overrated by Giants fans.

Football god will strike you with a FG kick in the head... do not speak that name around here..

Mario, what you expect him to say?? of cause it's the best cuz it's the one that's currently in placed...

Cruz need to have a few more games like that. else it'll just be another flute..

He Who Shall Not Be Named was a great possession receiver.

Possession Receiver is the dumbest thing ive heard since 3rd down reciever. Ya know whos gettn the ball on thrid down? whoevers open.ya know who's a possession receiver? every receiver.

why would manningham say this?

its obvious Cruuuuuuuuzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz will take hie outside spot

Manningham will have to move the the slot

actually other than Stokley, Nicks is best suited to inside play

No Jack, just no. Nicks is best where he's at.... outside, for several reasons. Manningham is a much better slot option than Nicks. But Cruz is the slot guy when Manningham is healthy.

When people talk about a possession receiver, they are referring to a skill set. Amani Toomer was a possession receiver, Plaxico was not. A possession receiver runs the whole route tree, has excellent hands, but does not have elite stretch the field speed. That's what they mean. A guy who is a burner or is a player that some other physical ability that gives him an advantage over the corner on a deep ball (Plaxico's height), you don't really call that guy a possession receiver. It's just a description of the skill set. Welker is a possession receiver, doesn't mean he can't run a go route, it's just how he's used.

If Coughlin has any sense he starts Cruz at WR, puts Stokley in the slot and brings in Manningham to spell Nicks/Cruz,and play #4

Wasting Cruz in the slot is stupid, and hes too small............Stockley thrives at that position.....he has good hands and knows how to find the soft spot BEYYYOOONNNNDDDD the marker.

Also Ballard is an excellent 3rd down target

Also WHEN the Fukkkkkkk are we going to see DaRel Scott?????????????? Jacobs is fading as a RB......good blocker and a great choice for the screen and the fade like last week

Cruz showed last week how slippery he can be and how well he can fight for the ball. Both great attributes for the slot guy, especially with Nicks & Manningham demanding attention from the safties on the outside. He just has to sharpen up on watching the ball into his hands and not turning upfield before he's made the catch.

he's too small and not a tough bundle of muscle like Welker..........to take him away form the outside is crazy

with him and Nicks you have to pick your poison.........Manningham can be handled by one guy

I'd give Stokley the slot job............hes a crafty old pro who knows how to get open and knows where the 1st down marker is

Yeah... Manningham can be handled by one guy? How again did he get almost a 1000 yards and 9 TD's last year? While not starting the season as a starter?

We are way too quick to crown guys around here. Cruz had a great game. He's not on the level of Manningham yet.

I do like Cruz. But he is probably going to be rotated with Stokley in the slot.

if given the chance Victor will out-perform Manningham

He might even be better than Nicks eventually

The guy is exciting........someone compared him to the original Steve Smith.........it fits

We simply don't know Jack. I like our depth in almost every position.. I can not think of any team in the NFL that can weather the rash of injuries, season ending no less, that this team has had to deal with this early on in the season... T2 went down.. boom Ross shook off the rust and seems to have covered the position nicely... Goff.. no problem 2 rookies growing before our eyes... Osi.. no problem JPP is even better... not sure if I left off any starters but hey.. this team is deep... while teams like the Eagles focused on skill positions.. glamor positions.
