  1. not only did he do a horrible job putting a team together this year, but he also hired the strength and conditiong homos that have cause 6 of our players hamstring injuries.....Matsui, Damon, Wang, Karstens, Pussina and now Hughes...one or 2 is an unfortunate coincidence, 6 is not. I recall reading that the under the new S&C faggots that running and stretching was not a big part of their regimen and they left it up to the players to do on their own. Cashman is not nearly as good as people believe him to be, he's actually pretty horrible
  2. like I said, Im a pitcher, Ive had a pulled hammy and ahyeper extended knee and it looked like his knee...but I coiuld be wrong and it may just be his hammy...either way its very sad
  3. im a pitcher, i play in a mens league to this day ...IT WAS DEFINTELY NOT HIS HAMMY...to me it looked like he hyper extended his knee..which is bad, but not as bad as a pulled hammy. what a heart breaker
  4. you could be me in 98, i was hot
  5. who is mel kiper jr... sounds like holocaust survivor?
  6. How can you not? Now, we just have yto cross our fingers....if he's half as good as vrabel, Ill be content
  7. I dont agree...his 4 seamer was VERY straight...he needs to locate it better...fortunately, he has impeccable control and he was probably nervous tonight so he missed with it on occasions, thats not what Im worried about..Clemens fastball is straight too, as are many dominated pitchers..they just locate it better...he needs to work on his change up ans 2 seam fast ball. Dont get me wrong, I think he is going to be a super star...he just needs more work...HE IS ONLY 20 YEARS OLD, he doesnt belong in the majors right now...he will get hit here, but hopefully it doesnt mess with his psyche. Again, he will be dominant in this league, just not right now...he's not a finished product........see Matt Cain, Hughes is just like he was, only more dominant in his minor league career. Matt struggled because he wasnt a finished product before coming to the majors, he learned on the fly and now he is one of the best pitchers in the game right now and he's only 22. Matt Cain is scary, Hughes has that kind of potnetial, but dont expect it overnight
  8. he did ok, didnt embarrass himslef...but he is clearly not ready
  9. he isnt pitching bad...but he is not ready for the majors...he needs a full year in AAA. Kid has the potential to be a bonafide ace for a long time, he just needs more time in the minors
  10. If the Indians are ot of it by July, Im pretty sure Sabathia will be on the block since he will become a FA and will command a HUGE contract, one the Indians wont give him..Cashman shoudl go after him hard...not only is he young, he's very good, he's left handed and we can afford to retain him by giving him the big contract..which I think the Yankees would be foolish not to shell out for him....how about an 2008 rotation of.. Wang Sabathia Hughes Pavano/Pettite Moose not bad, not bad at all
  11. Im going to go out on a limb here and say he's a black man Id draft him in a second...Ray Lewis killed somebody, this kid just committed a little robery, its like jay walking
  12. just about the entire defense was unhappy with Tim Lewis..Gibril Wilson said it to
  13. C Joe Mauer 1B Poo 2B Chase Utley 3B April Rod SS Jimmy Rollins/Jose Reyes/Miggy OF- Matt Holliday OF- Vlad OF- Barroids DH-Hafner Santana Peavy Wang Hudson Hill K-Rod Nathan
  14. Baez is on the Orioles, Hall the White Sox, Lugo the Red Sox and Gathright is on the Royals
  15. I can honestly say that I have never liked Torre and have been bashing him since 96. He's great with the players and great with the media, and that is important, especially in this town, but his in game management is atricous...anyone could have won with the teams he had...he had the best roatation in the game and the best bullpen...with a bunch of guys that had a knack for getting timely hits and played solid defense.
  16. Cashman doesnt deserve to be on that list, but niether do some of the guys that are actually on there...he's good, not great. he makes alot of questionable moves/non moves...but he did have an INCREDIBLE draft last year...a year where it was fully his show. his went with guys that most teams were scared of because they felt they were unsignable...he got 2 pitchers in that draft that instantly became top 100 prospects....and one of those 2 guys was taken in the later rounds. I didnt think he did a good job this offseason, he left too many loose ends and theyre showing right now
  17. I think they should take a black guy with their first pick, but thats just me
  18. The sky is not falling. These losses hurt, don’t get me wrong, but its only April and we’ve had a ton of injuries…there’s not a team in the league that could go without their number 1, 3 and 4 starters and not feel it. This causes the bullpen to be overworked (which is an understatement in the Yankees case) and blow some leads when the starter does go fairly deep into the game (like last night). And lets not forget Matsui has been out and his replacement, Melky has been HORRIBLE. Also we’ve had a few more players banged up causing them to miss a game or two here and there. Now Torre is a horrible manager and that will never change, but eventually/hopefully the team will all be healthy and we’ll be fine
  19. I hear you....but even so, you dont think youd get a better pitcher for Loewen and Markakis? Youd proably be able to get the same pitcher for Humber and Milledge for just Markakis
  20. is that because you think the Millegde will be better than Markakis and Humber better than Lowen, or because the O's management is so dumb that you could milk them for even more?
  21. Maine was the centerpiece of that trade...he was a highly touted prospect in the O's organization....its not so much that the mets scouts did a good job, its more that the O's upper management are fucking morons...theyve been making bad trades and bad signings for almost a decade now. If I were Minaya, Id try and trade them Humber and Millegde for Markakis and Lohen...theyd probably do it I love Maine too, I have him on my fantsy team...Him and Rich Hill were my sleeper picks and theyre both lights out right now
  22. its sickening....Ive never seen a pitching staff this bad in my life...well to be fair, Andy Pettite is the only real major league starter on the staff right now and he's been excellent. Igawa needs to go down to the minors and work it out..if he can. I thought he should have started the season in AAA............what a horrible signing that was....Hmmm, Ted Lilly who has pitched successfully in the AL East or a soft tossing, left handed Jap?
  23. no he wasnt, they were trying to avaiod bringing up hughes...olendorf, clippard and desalvo would b better choices...they were also better than wright...wright only pitched 2 games high than A ball
  24. if you have the room go ahead, but i wouldnt drop anyone for him...hopefully its a one and done for him...he is NOT ready yet
