  1. I HAVE TO TYPE THIS IN BOLD BECAUSE IM LIVID RIGHT NOW HOW COULD CASHMAN LET THIS HAPPEN? BARRETT IS AN ALL STAR CATCHER ON PACE FOR ABOUT 25ISH HOME RUNS. HE COULD HAVE FILLED 2 GAPING HOLES...A BACK UP CATCHER THAT WILL ACTUALLY HIT AND A NICE BAT OFF THE BENCH TO PH. ID LOVE TO GIVE CASH THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT ON THIS AND SAY THAT THE CUBS ASKED FOR HUGHES, CHAMBERLAIN, KENNEDY, SANCHEZ, A-ROD, POSADA, JETER, MELKY CABRERA, BETANCES, MATSUI, CANO, WANG, AND TABATA FOR HIM, BUT I HIGHLY DOUBT THAT IF THEY SETTLED FOR A BACK UP CATCHER AND A PROSPECT TOO RAW FOR EVEN OLD DIRTY BASTARD TO LIKE
  2. I dont know man melancon, cox and sanchez all had major surgeries in the past year, I hear cox might not pitch ever again, humberto sanchez will be the next closer barring any more health issues. Melancon is not a bad choice either, kid was filthy in arizona
  3. 73 now...Cash needs to say..ok al, how much..sign here
  4. gate, he hit 290 as a full time player with the yanks in 2003...now Im not saying he can repeat that as I dont like him as an everyday player, but he has held his own as a starter for us once before...i guess that counts for something
  5. youre a good sport feefi...I repsect anyone who knows the stnads by never welching on a bet. youre a good man. nuff respect...booyakasha
  6. You have got to be kidding me..ask any pitcher that has ever closed, when they come in in non save situations, theyre not the same. I dont know why that it is, but it just is. He has been MUCH better with his command lately and Im not worried in the least bit. a couple of seeing eye singles and a one off his foot and he's done? puh leez. he has 2 blown saves this season and hasnt been used consistantly which is the main reason pitchers lack command.... which is what was the problem with him early in the season...his command was fine on Saturday, like I said, they got a few lucky hits, tip your cap, but he is in no way done and he wasnt getting hit hard at all...the sky is not falling chicken littles.
  7. honestly, it doesnt matter what their records are or where they are in the standing, these series are always unpredictable....with that said...Yankees sweep out scoring the mets 22 to 7
  8. come monday, the yankees could have a better record than the mets
  9. for the love of god, will Torre please use Bruney in the 8th inning instead of Farnsworth already. Farns' 70-75% sucess rate is nowhere near the rate you want an 8th ininng set up man to be at.
  10. I think we still have a ways to go, but things are looking alot better...Ill change my answer to possibly
  11. MOTHER FUCKING TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FUCK FUCK FUCK!!!! Porcello was oh so close
  12. I guess Im the only one that actually saw the "Brandon" Arroyo slap. Yes A-Rod did swipe at his glove, theres no question about that....it really wasnt that much of a bitch move...actually, he should have been called safe since "Brandon" was blocking his path before he had the ball and A-Rod should have just tackled him
  13. no doubt, he was an extremely ugly man, but he was gorgeous
  14. K-Rod's epileptic seizure he goes into after closing a game or Paplebons downs syndrome stare?
  15. theyre not going to get anyone but abreu in this deal...at least I would think so...if thats not the case, the Yankees are fools togive up anything else
  16. I know, but his 10 home runs to Abreu's 2 is huge, plus he is right handed..and thats the main reason why I want it to happen
  17. this would be great...even though Bobby is starting to hit again, Dye will give up a MUCH NEEDED right handed power bat.
  18. underacheiver maybe, but not a bust.
  19. ooooh wee, stiky icky icky. great game...I think weve shown that we can play with the sox, now if we can only get some consistancy....dont get me wroing, we have a huge hill to climb, and boston is a VERY GOOD team, but I have a feeling that things will shape up and with some luck make the playoffs
  20. I meant 36 whenthe yankees let him go 4 years ago
  21. because he was 36 years old and injury prone. Dont get me worng, I LOVED El Duque and still do, but he's not reliable. Guy is always hurt and I will guarantee that he spends at least 2 more months on the DL this season.
