  1. I like Damon, and he is starting to hit now because I believe he is fianlly healthy, but he is contract is a bit of an albatross so its going to be hard to deal him. I guess the Yankees think Melky is their long term answer to CF. Because if they think of signing aging players like Torii Hunter or declining players like Andruw Jones then they might as well keep just keep Damon.
  2. they also have 6 against the Yankees. and you have to figure that Kazmir will pitch at least 3 or 4 of those D-Rays games so you can chalk those games up as losses for the sox
  3. yes he is, he is 37 I beleive, but looks 47 and throw like he is 57. that why I suggested him, he's a perfect fit for the Giants
  4. trade him to the yankees for mussina. I actually read a good article on Cain. He said he wants to be the best pitcher in baseball and will stop at nothing until he acheives that............he certianly has the stuff to become the best
  5. its very debatable. Marciano was a beast as was Ali. You could go with either one and be correct I guess, but one was undefeated, so maybe you give Rocky the edge
  6. I was thinking more on the lines of a DFA for him. He is just awful. He cant get major league hitters out anymore. His location is just horrendous.
  7. Yeah, Im excited too. I look for Wilson and Demps to have a big year under Spag.
  8. my biggest concern is that we have a list of 15 things that are agrueably our biggest concern....and more can be added
  9. The Make Me Some Food Ho can see that. So would it be accurate for the make me some food ho to say that the dog has just as much knowledge of the new orlean saints, san diego chargers, new york jets, cincinnati bengals and atlanta falcons and their history as the dog does the new york football giants?
  10. I dont know about Manny, I think we might be seeing the demise of one of the greatest right handed hitters to ever play the game. His production was down last year and this year its down even more. I see no evidence thats says Manny is just in a slump and not a declining superstar. And Ortiz isnt going to get any pitches to hit if Manny isnt Manny.
  11. dub, first of all, John Garland is a very good pitcher. Last I checked Wang isnt a strike out pitcher and he is one of the best pitchers in baseball. Im not advocating he takes Hughes spot in the rotation, its Pussina's spot I was thinking of. Secondly, Tabata and Chamberlain are untouchable, they wont be traded unless theyre getting a guy named Sanata in return. Im didnt say trade them for Garland. However, Id give them a package of Jeff Marquez, either Duncan( Shelly or Eric) and Tyler Clippard.
  12. I dont know, theyve fallen back down to earth while the Yankees have turned it on.
  13. this team has been playing scary good for a month now, and theyve beaten up on some good teams in the process They took 3 of 4 against Oakland, then they took 3 of 4 against Minnesota, then 2 of 3 against the Angels. and then we won 3 of 4 against D-Rays, then 3 of 4 against the Blue Jays, then 3 of 4 against the D-Rays again. And now 1 game against the Roylas...the same Royals team that just trounced the Red Sox and has been 15-8 in their last 23 games. Now other than the Devil Rays, the teams we've been playing and beating have been good with excellent pitching staffs (even the Royals, their pitching staff ERA of late is like 3.50) The Yankees are getting healthy and the guys who have been slumping are waking, this team is fianlly reaching its potential and things are only get better with the pitching coming around...Hughes is coming, and I just heard they are looking to trade for John Garland, who is very good. Hopefully theyll get him, that way, we wont have to see Pussina and Iggy again. So in their last 24 games, they have 18 wins
  14. Im sure the dog does. but, the make me some food ho thinks that the dog really is a giants fan.
  15. I recall a song that was played on the radio I dont rememebr much but this was some of it The Giants are number 1 Theyre going to Pasadena to have fun We're gonna watch Joe Morris Run In Superbowl 21
  16. for a guy who isnt a giants fan, the dog sure knows alot about them...why is that the dog?
  17. oh yes, I said it. Boston is not nealry as good as they wanted us to believe. Manny and Ortiz havent had a clutch hit all year. Dustin Pedroia and Kevin Youcouldlickthis are their biggest offensive threats and their pitching, which is their strength, doesnt do well against the Yankees. Add that up with the fact that the Yankees are getting healthy, their pitching staff is rounding into shape, Hughes coming back in a week is HUGE and the Yankees offense has finally gotten it toghether...the guys who were slumping all year, Melky, Cano, Matsui, Damon are now hitting like theyre supposed to. Its on!!!!
  18. youre 100% right, but it wouldnt be that bad of an outfield....if youre the d-rays
  19. Kid is lighting up high A Tampa and showing that he will be an elite defensive center fielder. He is showing why the Yankees gave him a million dollars out of high school. 2010 outfield of Tabata in right and Jackson in center and Melky in left is looking mighty sweet...and at 25, Melky will be the oldest.
  20. I was the biggest Andy Phillips hater, but I mst admit, Im ver impressed and I have to agree with you. I guess at age 30 he finally learned how to hit a major league breaking ball.
  21. lets see..Milwaukee, San Diego, Florida, Los Angeles, Atlanta, New York, Detroit...nuff said
  22. I was joking, Dan Johnson is a horrible baseball player...it would be a terrible trade for the Yankees....and Don Johnson is cool
  23. I agree, now if it were for Don Johnson, Id give up Hughes as well
