  1. Matsuzaka got hit very hard last night...actually all of the boston aces this series were tattoo'd, I don’t have the exact number, but if I were to guess, id say the Sox starters combined for a 7 ERA.....the carry thing is, our starters, except for petite were even worse...but then again, when you send a kid who has pitched only 2 games above A ball and a AAA starter against that team in their home park, you cant expect good things. Im 99% sure that Joe Girardi will be the Yankees manager next year. Why else would he have not taken a managerial job this year?
  2. if there is one player in the game that I believe never did juice its a-rod...thats just silly mick..especially in this day and age and the spotlight so heavily shining on him...no way, no chane...Id bet my kid on it
  3. youre right...andbrian bruney is the best reliever on the team, why do you bring in vizcaino when h just got shelled yesterday......also, pinch running for giambi with a 4 run lead in the 8th inning on the road is retarded...you take away his bat if the bullpen blows the lead....looky what happened Mick, youre 100% right, torre fucked up...but he's done evn worse than what he did tonight. I never liked torre from day one, his horrible game management is fianlly being realized by the casual fan and I love it
  4. not to take anything away from the sox, but torre didnt do that bad of a job tonight, hes done worse...bringing in vizcaino wasnt the smartest move...but WHY THE FUCK ISNT DOUG MANTOOTH GUARDING THE LINE WITH THE TYING RUNS ON BASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Mid July when the league has seen enough of him to make the proper adjustments
  6. cant wait, I would say the Yankees will sweep them, but the red sox are at home where theyre very good...on the road...thats a totally different story, theyre awful
  7. a-rod is not clutch seriously, we are witnessing something special, Ive never seen anything like this. the guy is possessed
  8. After a shaky start to the season, he looks to be settleing in…just like he did when he made the transition to AA last year..his first 2 starts weren’t anything special and then complete domination 6ip 2h 0bb 10k 83 pitches
  9. matt cain should close on his in between days
  10. johnson won 34 games in 2 years, even though he wasnt vintage, he still won alot for us youre the drama king
  11. david cone, mike mussina and roger clemens say otherwise
  12. yeah man, that pen is atrocious...you its bad when Benitez is your closer.........that means he's your best option..yikes
  13. Yanks have an incredible bullpen this year as well....now the starters are a different story so who kows how long it will be until the pen is burnt out
  14. There's no way the Twins would trade Santana this year But after 2008 he becomes a FA. He has turned down overtures for an extension and he was insulted by their offer (rumored to be $46M over 3 years). In 2008, Santana will be 28. He is this decade's Pedro. I wouldnt give them both Hughes and Tabata but Id give them one of them or I might try and give them a package of say Clippard, Sanchez, Ohlendorf and/or Cox, as stiff as it is, I would move for him. Now the Twins have guys like Garza, Slowey and Perkins in their system that they are very high on, so Hughes or Tabata will most likely have to be included in any deal as the Twins will probably want more quality than quantity. Do you trade Hughes and Tabata for him? I dont, but I would give them either one of them or my package above for him. Also, by next year, guys like Betances and Chamberlain will most likely be highly touted pitching prospects throughout the league...theyre already in the top 100. S So, what would give up for Santana?
  15. so a player that Ive watched on a daily basis during the past 3+ baseball seasons has been doing something that Ive never seen him do. interesting. the obsession mets fans have with the Yankees is insane.
  16. Why is that so unbelievable? I figure Alex has hit about 130 homers since coming to the Yankees and since Im a Yankees fan, I watch Yankees games therefore Ive seen Alex hit just about every one of his home runs since coming to the Yankees. I wouldnt know what Beltran does when he hits a home run, I dont watch the Mets unless theyre playing the Yankees...that goes for all other teams to. ll give you Soriano, he certainly does showboat...Ive seen a bunch of his home runs too if you could believe that. And I hear what youre saying in that all players showboat to some extent, but A-Rod is not a guy that immediately comes to mind when you think of a showboating player. Id be the first to admit if he was.
  17. so youre basing this on one shot that you saw him hit? Ive seen him hit over 120 of them and Ive never seen him showboat, but you have. Ok
  18. youre aware that was a walk off grand slam in a game where the Yankees trailed by 6 runs in the 8th inning
  19. its obvious youved never seen a-rod hit a home run
  20. oh, Im not worried at all. My team will be there when the dust settles. Im just surprised that the worst hitter in baseball took Mo yard. Its really not a big deal, its just something that doesnt happen every day...Mo will still be the same old Mo. He's the last guy I worry about on the Yankees
