BlueInCanada
This goof made me a believer in his play. All the fourth quarter comebacks and the iron man he was made the years of watching him and Giants football fun. Two superbowl MVPs countless improbable passes and wins and one hell of a ride. I hope he stays with the team when he retires, comes back in a coaching role or something. Got to get me one more jersey of his to add to the collection already own three one more won't hurt. I'll always remember that come back against the Eagles in 2006 I belive in week 2. Down 21 points to come back in OT and wipe a smile off of all the Egils fans faces IN Philly. Eli was a competitor and who knows maybe next year he's trying to do the same with a different team. Either way we'll see his name added to the ring of honor and him number retired by Big Blue. Thanks Eli gonna miss #10 behind center.
Chuck Wagon
In the Moniest Game of all Money Game....he was Money....twice. The GOAT QB is O for Eli in the only game that matters. C. Wagon.
Magna
My son, who is 18 knows nothing but Eli as the QB. He was a little to young for the first SB, but it was just him and I watching the second one and it was amazing. I think we all took the longevity and durability of Eli for granted for most of those years...it was just expected on every Sunday Eli was going to play. BlueInCanada
Yep you don't know what you have till it's gone. More power to Jones he's the QB now but NY ain't an easy town to play in. Let's hope Big Stones Jones doesn't disappoint.

It's surreal, thinking Eli has been the QB for this team since 2004. Not going to see him be the guy out there this weekend, and now it's pretty much sticking unlike with Geno. Must of been what Colts fans felt like when Peyton left.

JayD
Will never forget Eli and what he has meant to this team. I can hardly remember what its like not having a solid QB. Its been a very long time since then. Hopefully Jones can build that same confidence in the fan base as Eli did. At least in his first 11 years. I feel bad for him that they werent able to put a good team around him in his final year. Going out like this sucks. Aside from that though I think some folks are taking the Eli pity party a little to far. The guy is retiring as a future hall of famer, with two rings and many millions of dollars. Thanks for the great memories Eli. You will always be a champion in my mind.

JayD
How so? I was watching some YouTube channels that do Giants videos. Lots of those guys were practically crying. With tons of comments agreeing with them.
Storm
If the Giants had gone with Lauletta just for a year until they snagged Jones, aka actually rebuilt the team after going 3-13, this team would have Barkley and Beckham as weapons to use for Jones. Beckham obviously wasnt happy catching passes from old man Eli. Instead theyre stuck with waiting until 2020 to actually begin rebuilding when all these ridiculous contracts and Mannings persistently franchise debilitating contract come off the books. Let it go.All Im saying is wed be in a whole lot better position if they hadnt jettisoned the dude that had a personality instead of the dude the fans talked them into continuing to play. Instead we have dead cap space, a $17 million backup, and safety who cant cover or tackle.

Let it go.I'd gladly take his bitching over a underachieving safety and a run stuffing DT. And you know 160 yard+ TD games from a dynamic WR who only needs to catch a slant to turn it into a massive gain. But yeah he's a "head case" lol he's right on the level with AB. You don't bench the franchise QB for Geno Smith nor do it at the end of the year when nothing really matters or for Lauletta. Should of just let Eli finish the year but tell him he isn't coming back the year after and to go find a trade partner or ask for a release or be ready for the mentor role because he ain't seeing the field. I'm sure his agent and him would of found someone willing to trade something for him and his contract.

BlueInCanada
Yeah you guys are right. Remember the good old days when Odell had us winning all those games? Oh wait Remember the good old days when we had a primary WR like Plax or Nicks who could win one on one battles and make plays? Those were the days. By this logic we should just dump all the players on the team. Remember when Saquon won us all those games? Oh wait... Remember when Hernendez lead the block for all those wins? Oh wait... LOL what stupid logic.

If you cant see the difference between all these players you mentioned and Odell, then you just havent been paying attention. When you have a cancerous tumor, you cut it out. Afterwards you celebrate its removal. You dont complain that its gone. That is stupid logic.

Well I for one would rather we didnt have a WR who would most likely get inside our rookie QBs head and destroy his confidence. BTW our under achieving safety is in his first year in a totally new system. Maybe we could give him a little more then two games before we label him a bust. After seeing Odells continued ridiculous reactions to being traded, I dont understand how anyone could conclude that he isnt a head case. Never mind all the stupid shit he did while he was with the team. The guy is bat shit crazy.
