My son, who is 18 knows nothing but Eli as the QB. He was a little to young for the first SB, but it was just him and I watching the second one and it was amazing. I think we all took the longevity and durability of Eli for granted for most of those years...it was just expected on every Sunday Eli was going to play.

That punter deserves an Oscar for that performance.

I think he had an outside shot until he became Douche Bag Tiki the past couple years. I know...LT...be judged by what you did on the field. However, Tiki was an outside shot to begin with and now with the whole throwing Eli under the bus and cheating on your pregnant wife thing...he blew any chance he had. If he had a bit of class he could of parlayed a successful NFL related media career on top of a great NFL career into the HOF.

Other then their personal gripes against the Giants I'm sure the ESPN execs told them to pump up the Jets since they are opening the season up with a MNF game. They also have two other MNF games later on in the season. Listening to the commentary and watching them interview Jet after Jet on the sidelines it was pretty obvious. If Eli didn't bust his head wide open I don't think they would of talked about a Giant all night.

Bring him back if he passes the physicals and can contribute. He paid his dues. Sign him low scale with performance bonuses as well as behavior clauses for one year to see if he can produce like he did before the shooting. If he succeeds then reward him with a longer contract next year. Win win for everyone.

I bust these stats every time some knuckle head whines about Eli and how he didn't deserve the SB MVP trophy and how he sucks blah. blah blah...Here are the facts: In the 4th Qtr against an "unbeatable" team in the biggest football game of all time, he went 9-14 for 152yds and 2 TDs for a QB rating of 140.5. That is clutch play and very worthy of a MVP award. The miracle catch is always given full credit to Tyree (who deserves all the credit he gets), but they always forget how Eli scrambled and fought his way just to throw the pass. He has consistently gotten better and puts up good numbers for a traditionally run based team in a tough home stadium to throw the ball in.

Don't worry Tree...they post most of the games on newsgroups and I would imagine torrents as well. What is nice about them is that they get them off the NFL pay site and all the commercials and down time are stripped....nothing but action. Its a great way to catch up on all the other good games because they are usually around 20-30 minutes.

I would think Plax would be happy to see him in Blue...Keyshawn is one of the best 2nd receiver in NFL history. He does a lot of the little things very well that opens up the field for the #1 guy.

Don't care to much for the man...but he has great hands going across the middle and doesn't mind blocking. Gotta respect that.
