Sephiroth
Pat Shurmur was a bad hire. This team is going to be bad for the foreseeable future.

Nas
Oddly enough I missed the first drive of the game because I had Fox on not knowing fucking CBS carries NFC games now.... those fucking quick dumps are getting ridiculous.

Storm
Guys... its the line. Bill Walsh couldnt do shit with this offense There are zero great offensive lines in the NFL. Other teams get by. I dont buy a league average offensive line is the reason the team has sucked for the past what 4 years?
BlueInCanada
Guys... its the line. Bill Walsh couldnt do shit with this offense lol The best WR/TE/RB combo in the NFL, I think he would do just fine.
BlueInCanada
Oh on that note. Did Eli roll out once at all in the game? Used it all the time against the Texans to get away from Watt and haul the ball downfield, why didn't they use it against a shitty Saints defense? Storm
Imagine Beckham Jr. with Pat Mahomes and this offensive line, for example. The Giants would be 4-0.

Can't throw the ball to OBJ when he's just there for screens and fake reverse plays.
BlueInCanada
Although I think Romo was saying it, you look across the NFL fucking teams are throwing for six TDs a game was ease. The Giants the last 3 years cant even score 30 fucking points lol
Storm
The offensive line refrain is old. They arent amazing but Manning sucks. An occasional good game isnt going to change that. Brees and Brady are about done, too.

Shocker I know, but I might just be onto something.

BlueInCanada
12 teams have scored more than 30 points this week. That's 12 out of 26 since two are on a bye and four teams are playing/haven't played yet. The Giants haven't hit 30 points since the 2015 finale. https://twitter.com/DDuggan21/status/1046562853417873409

Shocker I know, but I might just be onto something. The offensive line play is league average. Offensive lineman are hard to find, the college game is different and doesnt ask or develop their lineman the way the NFL has needed in the past, and now, the NFL game needs to adapt. The Giants organization has not adapted. Thats why theyre stuck in 2011 decrying bad offensive lines instead of an outdated team philosophy and a statue Quarterback. They consistently get beat by any blitz and Barkley has no hole to run through and his only success has been bouncing the ball off tackle. There's a reason why most teams with below or average Olines don't make it to the playoffs. There isnt as big as a gap between as you are saying between the two, just look at how a guy like Hernedez is a second round pick. The problem is the Giants attempts to build a Oline under JR failed miserably, Flowers, Pugh, Richburg etc and now we are reaping the rewards of trying to overhaul that failure under Getty. QB will be the next priority I assume, since I still don't believe a single QB from this draft would be doing anything better and we would still be in the same situation, just with a rookie QB getting shell shocked. "Come in the rear for Greir" is what I'm hearing is the new slogan for the year.

This offensive line has 2 players who could be considered legitimate starters and one is a rookie. The other 3 wouldn't start on a decent team in the league. The line is below average. They gambled on a kid a few years back who should have kept the edge for years and it was a huge failure. The Flowers draft has set us back huge. Storm
I am a statistics guy. Personally, I dont go by, he wouldnt start on any other team, anecdotes. They gave up what 3 sacks today? Thats fucking average. Above average considering Manning is a statue and was in constant pass mode.

To a team that came into the game with only 4 sacks on the season and a secondary that was getting torched... It did shock me that they stopped rolling Eli out after the first drive, it looked to be working pretty well
