  1. It'd be better if they called my ass after he got hit by the train so I could piss on his corpse for signing with the Redskins...lol.
  2. I think two things are apparent. 1. Your offense needs SOME balance. You don't need to run for 100 yards every game, but there needs to be a mix of short yardage plays, medium distance plays, and long distance plays. Note, this allows for the quick short underneath passes to supplant handing the ball off. 2. Your team needs SOME balance. Your defense can be outstanding with a lackluster but not horrible offense (SF, Baltimore) or your offense can be outstanding with a lackluster but not horrible defense.
  3. We're not getting this guy. I hope the Redskins draft him....and that on the way home, he gets hit by a train.
  4. Sounds a little like somewhere in Jersey, no?
  5. In my opinion, the dropped passes by GB were as deflating to them as the poor officiating was to us. Had GB completed those passes, it could easily have been use packing our bags today and not GB. Yeah, it's GBs fault they dropped them...nobody will argue that, but it was our defense's fault that the ball made it to the hands of the receiver. In other words, our defense should have limited their drops by not allowing the ball to get there in the first place.
  6. This gives us the opportunity to beat two sets of coaching brothers in the same year. Rex Ryan/Rob Ryan twice John/Jim Harbaugh ***Assuming the Ravens beat the Pats that is.
  7. Missing kicks under 50 yards in playoff games can lose you games....
  8. Yeah, I know they played very well against us and by no means do I think this will be a walk in the park. But my confidence in our offense has grown substantially over the past month and think that they can at least hang with SF's defense if not beat it at times. Even if you call our offense vs their defense a wash, our defense vs their offense is a definite advantage for us.
  9. I can still remember when Tiki was 75% or more of our offense, other teams knew it, and he still played extraordinarily well. I loved him as a player and at a time when players were bouncing all over the league, he stayed a NY Giant. I liked that a lot about him. I mean, I was literally waiting his retirement so I could get an authentic Barber jersey to go along with my Bavaro and Taylor jerseys. That said, given what's come out about his retirement and the reasons behind it, I've lost all the respect I had for him. All of it. I never did get that Barber jersey and am rather glad about it. Tiki burned his bridges big time and is now dying to get back to where he was before...not realizing that by destroying the relationships he had previously, the road back is no longer there.
  10. A 2nd super bowl win and one or two more winning seasons....more than that if he wants to be a first ballot HOFer
  11. I enjoyed the win thoroughly yesterday and today with all the talking heads and the folks at the office who know I'm a Giants fan. Now, back to reality. I think San Francisco is one of those teams that we could take too lightly as a team coming off an emotional victory over Green Bay. So my #1 key to victory is for the defense to be knocked down a few pegs and shown what could've happened had GB not dropped the balls they dropped and what could've happened if the ball didn't bounce our way here or there. I don't want the coaches to shatter confidence, but the defense needs to be reminded that there is room to play even better. Number 2, more specifically, if we can play man on the WRs while doubling Vernon Davis with a LB/S...I think we're in good shape defensively. Number 3, I am not nearly as concerned about our offense against their defense as perhaps I should be. Given they play in the NFC West against the likes of St. Louis, whose RB is overdone and easily defended when there is no passing game there to speak of; Arizona; whose only threat involves Larry Fitzgerald, a lackluster QB, and no running game to speak of; and Seattle, who is mediocre competition at best. What I'm getting at is that stats the SF defense has put up, could be overrated based on their competiton. That said, they're not horrible by any means, not at all. But they're not the 2000 Ravens that many are comparing them against. 2 and 3 yards per run is all we need to be successful offensively. And that should be opened up by our passing game. I like the 3 WR/2 RB set a lot this week. Single coverage on the WRs, check to pass. Doubling WRs, check to run.
  12. Eh, we could speculate all day on what could've happened had the refs called the game correctly. We could've gotten the ball more and scored more, or we could've gone 3 and out and GB could've scored anyway. Hard to say... But in the end, the better team prevailed and we're on to SF.
  13. I can't say I would pity a guy who did it to himself. He shot himself in the foot figuratively while Burress did it literally.
  14. Well, this game worked out well for us. I too, didn't want to head down to NO to face the Saints. I like our chances with SF a hell of a lot better at this point. That said, I don't want our team to overlook anything. Hopefully Coughlin and company give this team a dose of reality here, calm them down from the emotional GB win, and get back to work.
  15. Our secondary played well...I'll give them that. But they were helped out a good bit by drops by GB receivers too.
  16. Nice read....one of the comments from Rodger's post-game interview was that we were playing a lot of man coverage, which made me, as a Giants fan, feel awfully good going into SF, not to mention the fact that we've survived the season without a number of CBs on IR.
  17. I accidentally punched my sleeping fiance in the face while jumping up screaming TOUCHDOWN....she went from deep sleep to wide awake in 6 seconds. I apologized, and she then made me a sammich.
  18. Run the ball enough to keep them honest while scoring 37 and only allowing 20...yep, I'm game for that.
  19. Yeah I know the turnover and that the hit was on 3rd down...but the later part of your comment was where I was going with my 'probably would've given up some of those points anyhow' part of my post.
  20. My thoughts are that the offense may have gameplanned all week for a high scoring shootout type game given their opponent and as such, didn't devote much time preparing to run the ball. Figuring, even if they were wrong and the game didn't become a shootout, the offense would still be able to impose whatever they wanted to the GB defense.

    Buck

He probably forgot the lube when buttfucking himself with his favorite fake dick... Led to his going against his normal tendancies. I hate Joe Buck...think he's damn near the shittiest game caller there is.
  22. Y'know...in the first game with the Packers, there was resentment about the officiating that I didn't necessarily get. I didn't think it was as bad as many had mentioned....but holy sweet name of God did this game make up for it. How the hell those refs aren't fined, investigated, or flat out shitcanned for their performance Sunday is beyond me. That fumble couldn't have been any more a fumble and the hit on Rodgers couldn't have been cleaner. Easily led to 14 points for the Packers. I'm not going to say that we wouldn't have given up some of those points anyhow, but damn...you don't know. That was bullshit like I haven't seen in a long, long time.
  23. I read that he was practicing, so I'm guessing he'll play Sunday. Have not heard the same about DJ Ware tho.
