  1. LOL...that is so true....in addition to some really boss uniforms...they got to play in New Haven...Oh and other then Bob Tucker and one good year out of Norm Snead and Ron Johnson...they truly sucked. Though...the 62 to 21 beating they put on the Eagles at Yankee is still one of my favorite games ever. C. Wagon.
  2. Ivan Rodriguez Chipper Jones Jeff Bagwell Frank Thomas Jeff Kent C. Wagon
  3. Which raises another question I dont' have an answer too. ....could the G-Men get a first rounder if they were looking to move Manning....if so....high, middle or low in that round. I think they have the right guy...I'm just curious as to his current street value. C. Wagon
  4. What made you think to look at Elway as someone to compare Manning too? Very interesting BTW. C. Wagon
  5. 1. No creditable deep threat. The entire game was played within 30 yards of the line of scrimmage. This resulted in Manning basically calling a game in a box with very limited options which lead to him burning the play clock three times trying to decide between a 20 yard out or a 20 yard seam route to Shockey...or a 15 yard slant to Plex or Toomer. 6. Tom Hollywood Fucking Henderson of the DALLAS COWB......wait, thought that said Rehab. not HOF. My bad. C. Wagon.
  7. More like the biggest rivalries from the 1970's on. Giants v Browns in the 50's Huff v J. Brown is a big one. Not sure how many times they played however. C. Wagon
  8. LOL....probably should have watched the vid clip before I gave the back story on this. C. Wagon.
  9. I saw a thing on this clip on the NFL channel - might have been one of the America Games about the Giants. Anyway, LT admitted that it took him completely by surprise when Simms asked him to go out for a pass. He also admitted that he "had a few beers" in him (which ain't that big a deal unless you pour it on some crack rocks - which he probably did) and that it is the only time he can ever remember being afraid in Giant Stadium because he was afraid he was going to drop it. 10. Two good things. 1. Manning tucked the ball and ran again - but scored this time - he is really sacking up this year. 2. The Giants played down to the competition as is their habit...but they won...which hasn't been their habit when they've play down to the competition in the past. Six weeks ago people were about to open a vein because the Giants stunk and the "season was over"...now people are about to do the same thing for not winning big enough. Thank God things are back to normal around here. C. Wagon
  11. I thought they said Toomer broke K. Rotes TD record? C. Wagon
  12. When you guys finish this one....can we do Pee Wee Reece v. Scooter Rizzotto? C. Wagon
  13. The NFC East is matching up with the AFC East and NFC North for it out of conference....which other then New England and Green Bay aren't all that impressive thus far. ....Buffalo, Miami, the Jets. Vikes, Lions, and Bears ....I think the two loses are to the Packers (Philly and Giants) C. Wagon
  14. It's true..they did the top 20 World Series of all time on ESPN Classic.....the Yanks were in 10 of them.....8 of them involved Yankee Loses. C. Wagon
  15. Hate to say it...but it started when Donny Baseball became a coach. He's the Jonah. ...all the way back to 83'. C. Wagon.
  16. Shockey is a very good football player and TE....but of late ...like the last two years - the guy can't stay on his feet when he makes a catch. Is it me or does the guy layout when he doesn't have to? I remember when he played with Collins the guy had YAC up the ass...thought he was the next Dave Casper....now...catch...knees...catch...knees. Is it an issue that he is so concerned about a drop that he smothers the ball and drops when he gets a toss. Notice most of his drops are when he is looking to it up field and not drop. Sort of like when Steve Sax forgot how to throw from second. I hope they fix it cause the guy is a bull when he gets loose in the secondary. C. Wagon
  17. My guess is when he was put in TC said "Load....don't fuck up"...then he looked over at Anthony Wright and added "and don't get hurt". C. Wagon.
  18. Exactly, It was like a flash back to any early 1970's NYG defense...Jesus...other then Wilson they tackle like Pete Athens used to...which is to say...very poorly if not rarely. Fucking bumper cars and no wrapping up. Other then Wilson and Pierce...Tuck maybe...they are completely lacking in fundementals and basic technique about 80 % of the time. It was scary...particularly when you consider Coughlin is supposed old school and was brought in to get back to basics. C. Wagon
  19. We're they suppose to make some cuts to get down to 73 today? C. Wagon.
  20. AT WHAT POINT DOES PANIC AND DESPAIR SET IN? Panic sets in after you botch the snap on a game winning Field goal in a playoff game. Though with Romo a case could be made that is set in when he put his back knee hit the turf and he turned toward the center with that "hope I don't choke this one off" look in his eyes. Despair starts creeping in soon after your face mask, quickly by the rest of your body, lands on the three yardline. There have been studies done on this. Its fact. C. Wagon
  21. Like I told you H..this guy is the kid of a friend of a friend of mine so I'm rooting for him...but......damn. .... It just kept getting worse and worse...first he goes for the head hunt when he had a sure Interception....like the hitting...hate the brain work...oh..and the penalty....then he is totally out of position on two TDs...though if he gets cut owing to those two plays...both the corners on those two plays will be right behind him. Seemed ok on run support and Punt/Kick off coverage....but they don't need him for that if he can't be a third or fourth safety. Didn't get the feeling he doesn't have the wheels and size to play at this level...but jesus...no brains at all. He is way behind the power curve..... When are the first cuts? C. Wagon
  22. That....or signing TO is like going out and purposefully catching a dose VD. C Wagon.
  23. It is natural to want a ring.....as it is unnatural to want the clap. Which is why the TO signing is such a strange concept to get ones head around. C. Wagon
  24. Echo...you really should have your own column in the Post. C. Wagon
  25. BB1...whatever happened to Jim and Hampton....Do you know? Are they over here under different names? C. Wagon
