  1. Kenny Phillips only in that I had him up in Sean Taylor - Ed Reed level expectations - probably unfair to do that just yet. He played solid...not overwhelming. Maybe next year. C. Wagon.
  2. Part of any negotiation is planting the seed in the other guys head that you are willing to walk away. This is posturing. C. Wagon.
  3. It is not how the game was intended to be played IMHO. If the Giants didnt' share a stadium with the Jets it would not be an issue. C. Wagon
  4. Wonder if the bigger...taller oval will help or hurt with wind.... Wish they'd put in real grass.....fucking Jets. C. Wagon.
  5. He's put on a few pounds.....but manic....check.....paranoid delusions of grandeur ....check.....somewhat ....off....check.....hot chick totally ripping him....check....him having no idea she is doing it.....roger. Only problem is....nobody from the East Side Tards curb stomped that Barney Rubble looking motherfucker that got up in his face. That would have clinched it. But yeah....if he was holding a dead dog and if the chick attempting to talk to him was his mom....it could have been him. C. Wagon.
  6. Bringing guys back from retirement is too tough a call.....under ones the G-Men have let get away...Kevin Walter comes to mind as one we might have wanted to keep. C. Wagon
  7. Agreed...he just established the base pay level for Pro-bowl or near Pro-bowl Qbs after 2010. C. Wagon
  8. Deal. Lets get a WR in the top two. With Plex going bye-bye...be nice to have a playmaker out there. C. Wagon
  9. Didn't he play on the 1990 Colorado National Championship team....? C. Wagon
  10. Nah Lube...the news will be what it always is....That Jerra' isn't going to fire the mentally challenged former bathroom attendent he has "running" his team. Then there will be talk of Shannahan being the one...cause Cowher can't decide.....at which point Landry will descend bodily from heaven and take them over and ring in a 100 years of peace and an occasional super bowl ring... Shit is in the bible. It's always about the Cowboys and as long as it continues to be bad news...we should let them have the headlines. C. Wagon
  11. For some reason there seems to be a sense of self entitlement with NFL players much more so then with other teams sports. You'll get the freak show that was the 86' Mets every once and a while...but by and large, as groups - NFL..or even football players in general tend to get out there. You got Sooners and Canes of the 80's and 90s'...and most every team has a Irving or Buchannan. You could attempt to lump it off as a racial deal but that wouldn't explain the stuff from the 50's and 60's. North Dallas 40 was based on a number of teams.....for every Ray Lewis you have today..you had a Ray Nichcke from the 60's so is alleged to have been involved in some equally hard core shit. I don't think you can say it is one team or another...but I think you can say it is one sport more then others. ...then you got the NBA. C. Wagon.
  12. LOL....good point. LT vs. Shockey. I never, not once - got the sense that LT was doing any antics with an underlying "look at me" agenda. I think when he did act up that it was sincere and real cause he knew he was the best and he knew everyone in the stadium knew it too...there for...he didn't have to show off. I thought the same with shock early on....not being the best but being genuine in emotion......the nodding his head as he sat on Dawkins in the endzone....that was real - and very LT like...as soooooooo fucking cool. But later it sort of seemed like the became a cartoon character...not like Chad Johnson...but closer to that clown Johnson then LT - the greatest ever. C. Wagon
  13. Did not say moves...route running....blocking....knowledge......or athletic ability.....just hands. Watch the kid - smooth as a babies ass with the hands...just like the two HOF'ers I mentioned. Not in their league...but great fucking hands P. C. Wagon.
  14. Boss also has some serious hands T....I mean Dave Casper or Old man Winslow hands. Like fly paper and he YAKs after he catches it..not before. Shockey would go Roberto Durant about every third opportunity towards the end of his time with the NYGs and when he did catch it almost always end up falling down...I mean it got weird their towards the end. C. Wagon
  15. The only scary thing about that game for me was that from the opening kick off to the last onsides kick attempt.....I didn't feel for one second the Giants were in any danger of losing. Not even remotely. C.Wagon
  16. Its the mental image of Craig Morten in those road uniforms with the blue pants and the "I just dropped acid" NY logo on the helmet that really gets you....man from 72' on it was a fucking horror show...I mean almost like Detroit Lions bad for 12 years. The salad days. C. Wagon
  17. I'm read that Pearlman book "Boy's will be Boys" about the Cowboys of the early 90s.....Dion was a fucking locker room cancer according this account. Everything was about race with him. C. Wagon
  18. #11...?????....never snapped his chin strap....or what that Randy Johnson. He backed up Trankington..then Snead....way early 70's when the fuckers would tease us at being good. C. Waogn
  19. In Jerry Golsteyn's defense....he....a...he....well, he was supposedly a real cut up in film session. I remember we finally got a game on TV out here in the late 70's and it was so fucking horrible....half way through my old man - a tad lite up is screaming for them to pull both Pisarcek and Golsteyn and put Joe Morrison in at QB. I recall telling him that Morrison retired about 5 years earlier and him saying...."then they need to go find him...now and see if he'll come back". C. Wagon.
  20. Mr Lewis..Mr. Suggs......this is Mr Hedgecock...he will be knocking your dick all in the dirt today, have a nice time tackling any one of the three mean mo'fo's that run behind him. Fucker is a beast. C. Wagon.
  21. ...and man does that kid have a set of hands on him....I mean he's got hands like Dave Casper. He is just going to get better and better and it is good to see a TE that now who gets a run after the catch - Shock was always falling down or out of bounds.... I don't think anyone is "game planning" for him like they did with #80 back about 4 years ago...but still....big upside. Shock peaked two years ago - and man did he pick a real bad time to play the bitch card. C. Wagon.
  22. Screw that Joe. The Rays win...the Chamber of Commerce might put it on the back panel of their "Welcome to the Home of the Super Bowl" brochure. Now if the Phillies win....one of the oldest and most history ladened cities of North America will in all likelihood be burned to the ground by its own inhabitants. Mayhem, murder....arson....animal rape...police riot......race war.....fucking everything that makes Philly great.....or.... the back panel of Super Bowl 42 brochure. Its a no brainer for me. C. Wagon.
  23. I’m excited about the new park. From what I have read and seen it appears to bring back some of the older, pre-renovation feel to the stadium…the roof top façade…hell the roof top itself…, in particular. I’d love for them to go back to some of the prior dimensions and put the monuments back out on central field..but that ain’t about to happen. I remember the old park pre 76’ and walking up the tunnel to the first base side’s lower level…I was a kid about 12 and it was fucking AWESOME. So for pretty selfish reasons I like the look of the new stadium. The 76’ version of the stadium…was great…in a 1970s sort of way……but not the same. Even though my only memories of the Yankees being winners was in the post 76’ stadium…. I tend to look back on pre-76’s stadium with more fondness then the pre-76’ team…all the tradition of that “holy ground” can’t erase Ron Bloomberg catching tosses from Horace Clark with his face…..his shoulder…his dick…..again…and again…and again. The most important thing…and the part I was most worried about that they didn’t fuck up…is the angle of the stadium in relation to the sun…fortunately it’ll match the old stadium. This means you’ll still get the shadows out of right field at the same time of day and at the same angles…. and they mirror up nicely against memories of the older stadium…to the point that people shouldn’t be able to tell that much of a difference from TV…which is where we’ll see the vast majority of the games anyway so that is all that should really matter. As to it being “hallowed ground”….Gettysburg is Hallowed Ground….Old Yankee Stadium has had its time…it can be Hallowed Ground Strip Mall or parking lot for all I care. Fuck…ain’t like nobody took pictures of the old one. C. Wagon.
  24. Who's backing up Johnson Egg?....cause no way his piano on his back ass survives the next three games if they protect for him like they did the spry Romo. The over/under on when he getting his shin snapped is the 3rd quarter of the Buc's game. C. Wagon
