  1. If I know my services can be appreciated else where and used better, I would tell him I quit. Wouldnt you?
  2. You honestly think he would of played, when he said he wouldnt?
  3. Yeah Allen wanted out of Chicago the moment he got there, he was practically begging for a trade to get back to a 4-3 D.
  4. To be fair he was ALREADY knows as a good LB before he came to the Giant's.
  5. You know this is the one time this has ever been said, but Weeden is probably the better QB.
  6. Obviously he did if he was released from the team. You think a team is going to keep a player around when they say "Oh I'll stay on the team, as long as I'm not used how you are going to use me" Parker was kept because he would "play the bit role" that Jones told everyone that he didnt want and WOULD not play.
  7. He asked for a release because he wasnt going to see the field. Is it that hard for people to understand?
  8. Players asked to be released all the time. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000523186/article/reggie-wayne-granted-release-from-patriots http://www.freep.com/story/sports/nfl/lions/2015/08/31/ryan-broyles-detroit-lions/71447238/ I mean would you rather release someone outright, or have them sit inactive all year taking up a roster spot while the NFLPA files injunctions against your organization.
  9. I honestly don't see why Jones would want to stay in NY when he knew GB is welcoming him back with open arms. Like it said in both articles Jones basically asked to be let go.
  10. Like I said I'm sure the moment that Nelson went down, Jone's agent was on the phone with the Packers as much as he could be. I wouldn't be surprised if they told Coughlin and Co to fuck off and release him because he knew he would be getting more playtime in Green Bay, which equates to the bigger pay day down the road, not to mention the better possibility of a playoff run.
  11. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000533301/article/james-jones-brief-stint-with-giants-helped-me
  12. No one told Jones anything, he left because he told the Giant's he didnt want to play behind OBJ/Cruz/Randle. Not to mention I'm sure his agent was salivating at the idea of Nelson going down and Jones going back to be one of the main guys (i.e. a big pay day) in Green Bay.
  13. Like I said I don't think it was Flowers, I'm just saying Pugh is better at tackle and Jerry should stay at guard. They obviously found something that worked with moving the players around because the running game was better after those changes than before, which has more to do with putting players in a better position than the Oline not having Flowers.
  14. Honestly Pugh should remain at tackle and Jerry should stay at guard. Not saying it was Flowers but when they made those adjustments the Oline started to get push and open up holes in the running game, which hasnt been seen from this Oline in the last two seasons.
  15. There was an atricle on NFL.com about Jones, he basically told Coughlin and company he didnt want to play a "part time role" in the offense, could be the reason why he's gone.
  16. He's one cut block away from never walking straight for the rest of his life.
  17. I'm glad he helped our 30th ranked run defense not be 31st or 32nd.
  18. Another one of those cases where the media makes the worst of anything. Shit it looks like he could suit up tomorrow and throw a cast on his hand. He's at least better than any ten fingered Giant at rushing the passer on the team.
  19. Like I said it's just my opinion but I don't see it, I don't think he's a dominating force and I feel like teams don't have any fear running to his side. JPP was a ghost in 2014 for the first 11 games of the season, and only turned it on in the final weeks of the year against lesser O-lines and opponents (much like the rest of the Giant's team). He's a good player, better than any 10 fingered DE on the team right now, but he isnt worth the franchise tag and not 10 million a year.
  20. The problem is, or atleast my problem with the whole situation. I've never believed in the JPP train, outside of his one good year, most if not all his sacks come in garbage time of games or he pulls an Osi and disappears in any big game/pressure situation. He wasnt even a top 10 DE in the league (IMO) before the injury, I really don't think he will be even close to his previous "form" for a few seasons after this injury. Maybe it's just me, but I really don't understand the love for JPP, he just isnt a good DE from what I've seen, he just never has impacted the game like a Watt, Houston, etc. The Giant's need answers at DE, but JPP isnt going to be one of them I think, shame too because he might have changed my opinion this year.
  21. I don't know many football players who don't care about money as the number 1 priority.
  22. On the final drive. Sure. Go watch the game again and see how many times Romo checked out of an obvious blitz play after play just to drive the length of the field in under two minutes.
  23. Wasnt the common theme last year on this board about how much Tom SHOULDNT be involved in play calling since you know MacAttack is the guy calling the plays. lol
  24. I don't see what Tom had to do with it other than the defense stopping to clock constantly with penalties and MacAttack not running 40 seconds off the fucking clock.
