  1. You're never and i mean never going to get a first round pick for Nassib, best case scenario is a third round pick a QB needy team or if a string of injuries hit a team and only if the GM is stupid enough to use a third round pick on a QB who's never even started a single game in the NFL, who isnt a rookie they can groom in their scheme. Nassib hasnt even started a regular season game and he's suddenly the best QB out of the draft, keep in mind probably the weakest QB draft that anyone has seen in the last 10 years. He's an unproven commodity that is exactly playing what is he, a backup QB for the Giant's. If he wants to leave (and he should like you said) then fine by me, JR SHOULD trade him for something of value so he can go be the QB for the Rams.
  2. I feel the same way Eli is the Giant's QB until he's arm is a noodle, JR isnt going to be known as the GM who shipped the best Giant's QB out the door because he couldnt get a contract worked out, it's practically a death sentence. I honestly feel like JR should be on a mad push to try and get Nassib out the door to another team, there's a number of QB starved teams and IF Nassib continues to have a good preseason try to get something of value for him, heck maybe even a quality O-lineman.
  3. A season ago Nassib was a waste of a roster space and we should of never drafted him. Now we should let him have the keys to the franchise. He'll be traded to the Jets by week six for a fourth round pick.
  4. Jones should have Parker's roster spot by the start of the season. Flowers looks like he's coming along. Nassib might be trade bait for some team desperate for a QB. Darkwa should be kept when *insert RB* gets hurt. J.T. Thomas is a starter. Vereen might end up being the Giant's MVP this year.
  5. I see someone is a 'Skins fan. McCoy and Cousins both felt pressure all night long, Cousins just isnt gun shy as much as Bobert Number 3. I mean by the time McCoy came it, it was an entirely different Oline and Cousins ran with the number twos, cant really compare their starting experience when neither of them played with the same Oline or against the same defense. But hey this is the same board that produces that "quality" football discussion in the Giant's section lol
  6. Oh and I'm not blaming Red Green TV for tonight, that 'Skins O-line looks to be locking up the worst in the league right now. Yet I imagine most 'Skins fans are still blaming Robert The Three.
  7. Cousins is the QB for the team, the fan base from what I've read is already so split on Robert The Third that they might as well move on and let him start fresh somewhere else.
  8. As much as I don't think he's a starting QB, he's probably the hardest working QB I've ever seen in the game.
  9. I think the biggest problem with these shorter off seasons and lack of contact in practices is some units don't have time to like I said "gel". O-lines especially, we were blessed with honestly what I consider one of the top 10 Oline's in all of football when we had Diehl, Sueburt, O'hara, Snee and McKenzie for those five/six years they played together and had time to develop. Now we have an O-line that hasnt even had any solid starters for the last few seasons with players flipping positions or just being drafted onto the team.
  10. I liked what I seen from the backups, at the same time they were playing back ups. Moore has shown why he wasnt getting any starting time and Wynn might be the next big thing for the Giants. I don't know of many teams that can replace both starting safeties but reports are is Collins is fine and I'm confident someone will come in for Thompson. Starting Oline still needs work, with all the shuffling of players/positions that it has gone through I'm not surprised with how sloppy they looked. They need time to gel and stay healthy together for a couple seasons before I assume they pick up their play, but atleast it's being built with young talented players and not old aging vets. Darkwa might push someone out of a job and with Jennings injury history and Willams still looking raw as fuck, I can see him being carried.
  11. The Browns/Bills looked like SB contenders and the Giant's looked like shit. Usual pre-season. I think the last good pre-season I remember we still had a QB named Collins on the team.
  12. You know there's no positivity allowed in this section.
  13. Stupid is as stupid does. I don't blame why you have given up on this section.
  14. I thought this was the guy everyone had labeled as the "fat slob of the draft". Kinda like that kid the Bungles drafted a number of years back, Smith or something.
  15. I think the correct response is "Have the team doctors cleared me to play?" Which is what I assume is the determining factor if someone plays, unless a team wants to be sued by the NFLPA.
  16. This old time mother fucker running people in the ground and forcing/telling them to play through injuries. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000507888/article/coughlin-jpp-will-return-to-team-when-he-feels-ready I sure wish Coughlin would stop telling players that they have to play regardless of how the player feels.
  17. So you're telling me the "all star" players of the team who are suppose to carry the team, who the owners want out there to sell jerseys/tickets, are themselves electing to play injured/cut it close on recovery time, but yet it's Coughlin who is running them into the ground? How was Boselli run into the ground? He finished his career with the Jags with two full healthy seasons before he had to retire in Houston.
  18. What did Coughlin do to JPPs career? Couglin didnt force him to not elect for surgery until June and then play around with fireworks. Also can someone explain this whole Nicks thing, how does Coughlin get the blame for a guy who has never been healthy his entire career and how does he prevent a Tampa player from landing on his foot?
  19. What I get from this article, they are letting injured players rest and the rag tag O-line made up of mostly career backups is struggling against starting talent. This is one of those non articles in the offseason.
  20. I think we lose a few core players to FA the next couple of years. JPP is gone unless he pulls a Drew Brees and comes back BETTER then he did after the injury. Prince I can see taking money somewhere else, he's won a SB here, I can see some team paying him starting corner money. Eli could be a Dolphin next year. Hynoski, Moore, Nassib, and a lot of "depth" players are gone the year after. Going to be interesting these next few seasons and I'm sure a coaching/QB change is coming sooner than some people expect.
  21. You honestly thought they wernt going to extend their best LB on the team? Even if he did hit free agency, I don't see how the Giant's COULD have signed him. Eli, OBJ, Pugh, Cruz, Prince, etc, etc. The core of the team is coming up on contracts and the Giant's arnt the best team to handle the cap.
  22. I thought the same after he followed up his break out year with a dud season, an injured season, then the sham of last year. Now he's blown off a finger and broken his hand. He was a fun experiment, take a freak athlete and see if you can make him great, wont happen unless the player want's to be great.
  23. I wonder what Eli's agent is asking. There's no way in hell you can pay Eli 20 million a season for the next few years and expect OBJ to resign.
  24. THE FUCK. Kind of out of no where, honestly is he plays like he did in Green Bay, holy hell, Eli better have a 4000 yard, 30 TD year.
  25. Settle down small son. We don't need another Jackstroud situation here. Article is surprisingly spot on in some cases. The Redskins one had me crying from laughter.
