  1. I never said the Giants were gonna have a good upcoming season, in fact I firmly believe that we don't win another super bowl with Eli or Coughlin at the helm. However I don't think that every single move the giants make is wrong and that they haven't done a single thing right in the past 15 years ala the Raiders or Browns.
  2. You do realize it's 2015, this isnt 1972 when a player who gets drafted by a team retires with that team, even Strahan held out for more money and you couldn't find a more "Giant" player in the last 15 years. Heck I honestly think Eli is playing for a different team next year.
  3. To be fair unless the Giants are winning a SB every year, Seph acts like a Browns fan who hasnt seen a winning season in the last 20 years.
  4. I'll say it again, Eli has got to be the goofiest looking son of a bitch I've ever seen.
  5. Does the franchise tag work that way though? I thought it was guaranteed money, i.e. he signs the dotted line and he gets his money even if he ends up on IR for the year, it's one of the disadvantages of the franchise tag.
  6. I think they will make him take the physical before the let him sign the contract.
  7. I think the NFLPA would be frothing at the mouth the moment a team tells a player what to do in their own free time. I mean what are you going to say to the guy?
  8. That's his call what he does in his spare time. Of course if he aggravates it everyone is just gonna start with the "HURR TC CANT MANAGE INJURED PLAYERS" thing again.
  9. I don't think you can trade a guy who isnt even on your team. I mean unless we sign JPP to a franchise tag but the Giant's HAVE to pay JPP his guaranteed money, just how the CBA works, so it would basically be, we pay another team to take JPP off our hands. What happens to a player who doesnt sign their franchise tag anyways? Does he sit in limbo for a year and the NFLPA sues the shit out of the team?
  10. Hasn't this been kicked around a lot by owners and everything? Isnt that why the whole American Football League got kicked off in the 60s but folded due to lack of interest. I would assume it would be the same thing today. If it isnt a college team with a rabid fanbase (lol dont know why college ball is worse then pee-wee) or without all star players, people just dont have any interest. NFL Europe, XFL, CFL. People just dont care if there's no stardom to it.
  11. Jerriuah basically had on him on lock down for a couple years, for all reports Dez has cleaned up his act and actually shockingly isnt a fucking tool anymore. Which is a good thing because it looks like atleast this offseason him and OBJ are becoming butt buddies. Fucking hate this news though, guy is basically the new TO and shits on the Giants when they play. Was hoping he would end up a Raider or something.
  12. I was just gonna say he's a Spag's coached kid, like most coaches who go to a new team they bring in their former players.
  13. To be fair I'd think they'd notice the missing finger at the contract signing.
  14. LOL WHAT Suh signed a a 114 million dollar contract, 25 million dollar signing bonus and 59 million guranteed. He's guaranteed almost as much money then the entire 60 million offered to JPP. So the Giant's would of only had to come up with an extra 54 million dollars to match the Dolphins contract.
  15. What year are you talking about? He was hurt every year as a Giant.
  16. I usually just stick to sports analysts twitter feeds, the best bet since they arnt really into the news for shock value.

  18. Yeah that's what I was trying to say in my post, I mean without the Eli trade who knows how all the futrue drafts would of went and even if we had the team/coaches that we do today with a different QB. Maybe Big Ben has more success early on and EA keeps his job for a few more years, JR leaves to be the GM of another team and Gilbride is now coaching the team. Maybe Rivers tanks cause he cant handle the NY media and we are still rebuilding from the debacle, as Coughlin goes to the other NY team instead of Sexy Rexy and the Jets are hosting another Lombardi.
  19. Guess the story is he went to light a firework and it misfired and exploded.
  20. Tweets are saying he's meeting with doctors but 'reports' are saying it's non career threatening.
  21. Yeah I don't think the Giant's would of stayed with Rivers personally if they didnt do the whole Eli trade. Big Ben would of been more of an EA guy in my opinion and Coughlin would of gushed over an QB like him.
  22. Well people already know my opinion on the guy. Any chance the Giant's could reascend the franchise tag offer and just give him a year vet min contract? I'm serious is there any penalty for just dropping the franchise tag contract, other than letting JPP walk?
  23. I'm gonna say EA simply for the Eli trade, without it I don't think the Giants are lifting two more Lombardi trophies. Sure I feel the Giants would of been able to compete with Big Ben but who knows what happens and if history can repeat itself, maybe with Big Ben the Giant's finish with different records therefore different draft positions and different drafted player. Maybe JR doesnt have the same 2007 draft that was essential to the first SB win. I just don't think without Eli the Giant's arnt the 'four' time SB champions.
  24. , I remember when we drafted Smith, I'm not normally a draft pundit but he was one of the few guys I read about that I wanted the Giants to grab and was surprised when they actually did in the second. Just another causality of having their career cut short by injuries.
  25. I honestly dont see it, he was ok as a rookie, he showed what you would expect from a fifth round draft pick. I never thought he would be anything more than a career back up with his play.
