  1. Yeah don't know who his agent is but he's got to be one of the worst I've ever seen, outside of a player trying to represent themselves.
  2. We'll the report says that Brady and some of the equipment personal had knowledge of what went on, but the rest of the team can't be blamed for anything. You can bet the NFL just plays on this fact. The Pats won the SB but Brady might have it knocked off his record or maybe get the MVP title taken away, I'm sure the equipment guys are canned. But you can't strip a team of a SB win when they got caught doing something that every single team in the league does, cheats. Although it's this former judge making the call, not Goodell, so who knows.
  3. So Brady and a bunch of equipment people are going to get punished? http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000491385/article/wells-report-released-on-footballs-used-in-afc-title-game
  4. Cause him and his agent have both publicly stated they would refuse to sign with a team outside of the first three rounds and would just re-opt for the draft in 2016.
  5. There's been a bunch, Brees, Calvin Johnson, Peterson, as you said Sherman. I think Polamalu and Fitzgerald shared a cover. Honestly would be neat to see a Giant on the cover one year.
  6. It's no where near the same situation though, the NFL isnt banning him from playing the game.... HE IS. Collins could easily be on a team once this is all resolved and the team could easily resign him to a contract the year after his rookie year. UDFA are only a year long guaranteed. The way I look at it he could of handled it one of two ways; as a man or as a kid. If he came out the day before the draft and said "I know this is a horrible situation for everyone involved and I respect the decision of NFL teams during the draft. I'm going to continue to work hard to achieve my dream and now I'll be rewarded when a team signs me" Instead he bitched and moaned about losing money and is threatening to sit out for a year and he wont play for a team unless he gets first round money. He if want's to piss away his opportunity to play in the NFL he can go for it, I wont feel bad for him at all.
  7. I am the only one who doesnt see a problem with this? The poor baby wont be making millions for a couple years. My god whatever will he do with his life to move past this tragedy of playing a game for the rest of his life and earning money from external sources.
  8. He's a grown man who's going to be getting paid to play a child's game. Everyone with the chance to play in the NFL should be humbled by the experience let alone the opportunity. Yet this guy is going to sit out because of a little detour in his life, perhaps a big one if he's charged with anything. He could sign with a team for a minimum contract and still get to have one of the best jobs 75% of the North American population would probably kill for. He could PROVE that he deserves millions (which quite frankly all rookies should have to do) before he actually get's it. So he plays a couple years not making a million plus every year, I'm sure jersey sales, autograph signings, etc are going to make up for it. However to him, he's "worth more" than the game. Fuck him.
  9. Outside of a 1st to 3rd round pick he wasnt going to sign with anyone. No team is going to waste a pick on a guy who is just going to refuse every contract you throw at him because he's a bitch who only cares about his paycheck. Fuck him, hope he sits out the next few years waiting for his "money".
  10. Keith seems like he can become a hell of a player. He'll be on the roster for the next number of years as the project, getting game time when he can, I think he'll make an impact on special teams this season and rotate in sparingly. After some years of coaching him how to pass rush in the NFL he'll be a solid player, I'm thinking the next Justin Tuck anyways.
  11. From what I understand Collins and his agent are fucking furious. He cant declare for either the 2016 draft or the supplemental draft. The kid's shown the only thing he cares about is money frankly in my opinion. Instead of taking this challenge/situation head on he's a little bitch complaining about his contract money. He honestly has a chance to CHOOSE what team he goes to out of the draft cause you know every single team in the NFL are going to be calling him..... if he's not related to anything that is.
  12. I'm feeling better about the Flowers pick, I just think the draft pundits are saying that at the 9th pick in the draft you generally want to get a guy who is NFL ready, a day one starter who is ready to go. Flowers is gonna need a season or two under his belt before he reaches (if he does) his potential. With that said I think Flowers has a stupid high ceiling and could be an anchor protecting Eli and his replacement for years to come. I don't see how it warrants such a bad grade though, even agrees Flowers can be an LT in the league once he's coached up, so I don't see why they are calling it a "reach".
  13. LaCosse Draft Pofile, grade of 5.1 ANALYSIS STRENGTHS Smooth release from the line and gets into routes quickly. Good play speed inside his routes with ability to get on top of safeties quickly when he's asked to threaten on third level. Sinks hips into breaks and accelerates into cuts. Can go low and make the tough catch with soft mitts. Used in-line and from wing spot, but was lined up outside in his last regular season game. Willing to fight and sustain when asked to square up as in-line blocker. Block technique needs work, but he has ability to get better. WEAKNESSES Tall, angular frame with more meat needed through his lower body. Unable to generate push as a drive blocker and gets rocked from his spot by bull rushers when asked to single-up on them. Tested out at 20 reps, but needs more core strength. Sluggish to release into routes against jams and can be knocked well off course. Played in less than 50 percent of the snaps over last two seasons and had just 38 catches for his career. Needs more fluidity in routes and also needs to stop giving them away with early lean. DRAFT PROJECTION Round 7 or priority free agent NFL COMPARISON Arthur Lynch BOTTOM LINE With a long frame and good speed, LaCosse has the tools to work with for teams looking for a tight end who can stretch the field or stress linebackers in one-on-one matchups. His lack of college production will limit the number of team radars he hits, but he has enough talent to warrant a legitimate look and his ability to play special teams should help his chances. -Lance Zierlein Sounds better then the last three picks of the draft.
  14. Akeem Hunt, a running back who recently visited the Giants, is apparently joining the team.
  15. Figured I would start a thread. TE Matt LaCosse (Illinois) He's a 6-6, 260-pound athletic tight end. Played tight end, fullback and H-back at Illinois, where he caught 14 passes for 117 yards and three touchdowns. RB Akeem Hunt LB Cole Farrand (Maryland) The inside linebacker is tough and a solid tackler who could bring a lot on special teams. He's not special athletically.
  16. Back on topic though. When was the last time you heard "bubble butt" being used as a positive for a player?
  17. This is the one time I think I've ever seen someone like Bleedin get so hurt and worked up over nothing, outside of talking about Obamarama. Bleedin, come on man, you know this is just an internet forum. I still don't understand how anyone can get worked up by something said online.
  18. I agree that the later rounds are generally for players who wont even make the team but why not go for players who atleast are ready to contribute? You draft guys like Bradshaw in the 7th, not project players who might become football players one day.
  19. Yeah JR is taken a stretch for these "prospect" guys. They might turn into something but they also are probably just gonna fall out into the practice squad. I thought there was more value sitting there, a WR like the one the Redskins took a pick after is ready to come in and play the slot. Why go for a guy who is just going to be Travis Bechham 2.0?
  20. So probably would of went undrafted, might be a special teams/practice squad player. Might as well just not used the pick at all lol
  21. 2015 NFL Draft: Texas DB Mykkele Thompson scouting report By Wescott Eberts  @SBN_Wescott on Apr 28, 2015, 5:54p 2 Brendan Maloney-USA TODAY Sports The former high school quarterback finally became a true football player a senior.  TWEET (3) SHARE (3) PIN In the course of two crunching hits against the West Virginia Mountaineers last fall,Texas Longhorns defensive back Mykkele Thompson finally started to erase questions about his physicality. The former high school quarterback was much-maligned by Longhorns fans throughout his career for giving up big plays at safety and often failing to demonstrate much physicality as a tackler, leading many to pine for Thompson to once again have the football in his hands offensively. Those two tackles in November heralded a new Thompson, however, one who had finally become a true football player, not just an track athlete on the gridiron. Thompson didn't manage to set his career high in tackles as a senior, as his 69 stops came up two short of the mark he set as a junior, but spending time playing cornerback helped cause that decrease. After finally deciding to wear contacts midway through the year, Thompson averaged seven tackles per game over the last seven games and came up with his second career interception against Texas Tech. Here are his Texas Pro Timing Day results: 40 time Vert Broad jump Short shuttle 3-cone Bench 4.48 seconds 36 inches 10 feet 9 inches 4.45 seconds 6.89 seconds 18 reps Out of high school, Thompson was a consensus four-star prospect ranked as the No. 180 prospect, the No. 15 athlete, and the No. 25 player in Texas, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. A running quarterback at San Antonio Stevens, Thompson rushed for nearly 3,000 yards in high school and scored 40 rushing touchdowns. Versatility -- As a senior, the San Antonio product played both safety and cornerback at a competent level, including nickel corner, a position he wouldn't have been able to handle in the past because of its need for physicality. Straight-line speed -- The strong vertical leap in March backs up the sub-4.5 40-yard dash from Thompson, exactly the type of recovery speed needed for cornerbacks. Weaknesses Tweener frame -- Thompson is tall for a cornerback at 6'0.5, but his relatively thin frame makes him small for a safety in the NFL. Lack of playmaking -- With only two interceptions and two forced fumbles in his career, Thompson failed to consistently create the type of momentum-changing plays that scouts want to see from NFL prospects. Fluidity -- When compared to teammate Quandre Diggs at the Texas Pro Timing Day, Thompson wasn't nearly as efficient in flipping his hips to turn in coverage and lost speed while doing so, raising questions about his ability to play cornerback at the next level. Takes poor angles -- Though it didn't happen nearly as much as a senior, Thompson gave up numerous big plays early in his career because he didn't take conservative-enough angles to the football in pass coverage. Draft projection -- Undrafted free agentThompson faces a difficult task to even end up on a practice squad, as he's rated as the No. 664 prospect overall by NFLDraftScout.com.
  22. So we took someone who doesnt have a grade or draft profile. Someone tell me what to think!
  23. Diggs? He's a natural slot guy. Or maybe a TE is one is available, JR has a good record of late round TEs.
  24. I'd wouldn't be mad. Seems like a perfect slot WR if Cruz doesnt bounce back.
