  1. The guy who throws the first punch if never the one who gets caught. It was clear that Norman and the Panthers in general, were playing to OBJs weakness of not liking to be played physically, OBJ threw the "second punch" and was the ones the refs/NFL had their eyes on. If anything it will be an learning thing for Beckham (hopefully) he needs to realize he's a smaller-ish WR whos going to get pushed around by the NFLs new prototype of physically, long armed CBs. He just needs to realize to keep grinding away until he breaks their ankles and blows by them for a TD, instead of letting it get to his head. He's young, and has many many many more great catches as a Giant in him, he'll either learn or be playing for some other team in a couple years.
  2. Could be worse, we could be the Ravens.
  3. Fuck he's one of the best players in the LEAGUE, let alone the team. JR had any sense he'd throw a large contract at OBJ before he's shown the door so the next GM doesnt get lynched out of town when OBJ leaves for some other team for the $$$ and not wanting to play for a team in rebuild.
  4. I think Prince at most will cost maybe 2 million a year, which I think is what he's making now. That is pretty much the going rate for any starting CB in the league, outside of those teams that are paying 20 million plus for their one/two combo.
  5. Until JPP returned he was the best defensive lineman on the team. Great job JR has done with this roster.
  6. Well considering most (myself included) wanted TC and Eli out of here within the first few years, I would guess you're betting the right way.
  7. As a Blue Jays, Raptors and Giant fan, I've learned to root for the W every week regardless of the situation.
  8. They pull OBJ. "HURRR DURR WHY DID THE COACHES DO THAT HE'S THE ONLY CHANCE OF A COMEBACK IN A MUST WIN GAME" They leave OBJ in. "HURRR DURR WHY DIDNT THEY PULL OBJ TO TEACH HIM A LESSON IN A MUST IN GAME"
  9. I took a stroll on over to the ol Giants board. Place is still a fucking joke, this reason makes it so much better though. Anyways people are starting to say OBJ is gonna be in jail/Cowboys uniform soon enough and how he doesnt deserve to be on the team or isnt that good of a WR. Was a refreshing laugh.
  10. The thing is though, according to all reports he is a leader. His teammates eat up his act and buy into it. That's why there's a difference between a guy like TO and a guy like Cam, teammates like Cam and believe in him, they WANT to play for him.
  11. Coughlin maybe, but MacAttack is a JR hire, Spags was a memorabilia hire, both of them should go regardless. I assume Coughlin leaves when both of them are fired voluntarily.
  12. Honestly the Giant's have THE best WR in the NFL at the moment. Fucking amazing watching what he does week in and week out.
  13. Shame it took JPP blowing off part of his hand to go from looking like a POS to 1/10th of this. Wonder what it would take to rip Strahan away from blonde skeletor.
  14. Final minute of the game, Fins need 30 yards for the game winning TD and it's fourth and 7. The "Wall of Spags" sends 8 men on a blitz and plays 15 yards off the WRs. Ball get's caught 3 yards past the first down marker, a poor angle by Prince leads to a walk in TD by the WR. Giants get the ball back with a good return from Harris setting up a 40 yard field for Eli and the offense, 40 seconds on the clock and one timeout. MacAttack calls a draw play on first down to Williams which goes for two yards, Eli spends 20 seconds spastically waving his arms around trying to get players lined up for the next play, Coughlin finally calls the TO with 19 seconds left while Eli snaps the ball. MacAttack then calls three plays all geared for a pass to Randle which are in order, overthrown by 10 yards, thrown over his head by 4 feet, and thrown into the chest of the defender. Damontre Moore punches the pizza guy for not bringing free napkins and is promptly shot and arrested later in the evening after he tried to tackle an officer but overran his angle by 15 yards.
  15. I always liked Hixon, shame he couldnt stay healthy. I remember when Mr.Stroud used to roam these parts, he used to compare him to Jerry Rice lol
  16. Basically has the moment that Eli played his first snap. I don't think Eli is "elite" but then again in my opinion there have only been a handful of elite QBs in the league in every era of football. Granted being elite usually means you are on a team that helps you play to that level, but I reserve elite for those few QBs that end up elevating their team the moment they basically step on the field to the moment they step off of it. Eli is a lot better than what some people here think of him and he's a worse than what others think of him. I think he's a good and even great QB, upper shelf of the current QBs playing the game, nothing more, nothing less. He can win games in the clutch that most QBs in the NFL would just crumble, but he isnt immune to the same old mistakes that every QB makes. I think that's a key difference between what people call "elite" and good, the good QBs can play at any level and gives their team a chance to win, but will still be prone to mistakes, bad games, cold streaks, bone headed moves, etc. Elite QBs will rise to and surpass any occasion and will be able to outplay their mistakes game in and game out, while being able to lead the team to do the same.
  17. Marrone couldnt do it in college and he couldnt do it in the NFL. Not to mention he's a backstabbing hack who decided to take an out clause in his contract with the Bills trying to cash it in with another team, instead he had to settle as the OL coach for the Jags.
  18. Reese is gonna get another shot, I've always believed it. Little Mara and Co will give him a chance to bring in "his coach/qb". I believe he's warranted it. At the very least I think JR fires Spags/MacAttack, which more then likely forces Coughlin to hang up the headset which I'm sure is followed by a high up front office job at Gints HQ.
  19. I remember reading when the previous owner of the Jags sold the team, he said his biggest mistake/regret was letting Coughlin go.
  20. Yeah there havent been many coaches in the NFL who have been given free reign on their team, and the ones who have either turned out to be the best in the game (Walsh, Landry, Lombardi, Belichick) or have completely destroyed franchises.
  21. You're talking about the same fans who go ape shit crazy the moment MacAttack calls to passes in a row. Giant's fans go balls deep in crazy.
