The whole 'grading' system they use to upgrade and downgrade NFL crews obviously isnt working. Sure every NFL penalty is reviewed every week at the NFL HQ but they really need to start doing more besides just preventing them from calling big games. Yeah they could "eventually" lose their jobs if they keep fucking up, but I havent heard of any refs being fired for poor officiating.

Unga is raw, he needs a few more seasons before he's a starting LB, even then I think at worst he'll be a hell of a back up/rotations player. He needs to spend some time with Kennard learning how to cover.

Supposedly after that whole batted ball out of the endzone that the Lions experienced, Ford there has been raising all sorts of hell about penalties being review-able. Since he's butt buddies with Mara I expect something to happen. Hope they include PI calls or else there is no point.

Beason was a pro bowl LB before he came to the Giants, he just hasnt been able to stay healthy.

I think the "slump" is more due to the fact that for some reason, Eli and MacBurgerDoodles have forgotten that he is even on the team. I don't know if it's Eli who doesnt target him anymore or if HeartAttackADoo is scheming around using him as a distraction and trying to win the game with guys like Randle and Harris. I know the defense is focusing on OBJ as the main guy, and that there are 11 other guys trying to stop him for catching the ball, but there is ZERO reason for him not to get target every drive, let alone every half......... Or OBJ is just a shitty WR who cant get open against some teams LBs/slot corner.

I feel like it should be a win, the 9er's arnt a 10 win team but they still have offensive firepower. BigMac should be able to get the offense to lay 20+ points on that depleted defense, however we all know he will call a great first half and then nothing but shotgun draw for the rest of the second. I don't think of it as a "trap" game because the 49ers still have (some) talent left on the team, they just arnt the same team from the last couple of seasons.

They really havent lost anyone though, from that SB winning team. That defense is practically the same across the board and the offense has gotten BETTER weapons.

You act as if the Giant's coaches had no idea the type of player Moore was before this season. It's the reason why guys like Wynn and George are on the team. It doesnt take much in practice and split game time for the coaches to determine the type of player Moore is. And how is it a dumb decision? You either play an ineffective young guy who obviously doesnt know how to play the run or even rush the passer on good day, or you play a old vet who is just as ineffective. Really neither situation helps the team in any way, just stops the bleeding till the end of the season.

It's the roll of the dice of the draft. Moore was seen as one of the better value pass rushers in the third round, yet hasnt lived up to his potential. It happens unfortunately, if all players in a draft could be a solid contributor year in and out that would be great, but some players just dont pan out. Hopefully George doesnt follow the same path, the fact the coaches trust him on the field more in his first game than Moore in his entire career, makes me think he wont.

I'm impressed by Whitlock, he brings value to every aspect of the team, it's just a shame he's so raw at FB, but hey if he can learn to atleast become a decent FB, you have one player who can play on every side of the ball well. Heck he might be a better DT then anything. Jennings has been a great pick up by JR, sure the injury bug likes to bite him but he's been a solid back for the Giant's and was pretty much the only starting guy last year.

The thing is though, Eli audibles into another play called by MacAttack. I'm sure both plays are equally valid, just depending on defensive positioning and stuff. Safety is sneaking down into the box? Call Ohama 100 times and audible to this play with two seconds left, then call a timeout. Dline shifts to the left and LBs back off into coverage, audible into a shotgun draw. Defense shows any sort of movement prior to 10 seconds left, audible into a shotgun draw. 2nd and 21 and the corners are playing press and the middle LBs birthday was yesterday, audible into a shotgun draw. 3rd and 1 and everyone is stacked at the line expecting a run, audible into a shotgun draw, or bomb it 50 yards down field.

Yeah you dont get paid, but the team has to hold onto you on their 53 man team, taking up a roster spot. Would you honestly carry a guy for an entire year as the injuries pile up, with the possibility of the NFLPA getting involved.

Tell that to Cam Chancellor, or any other player who has held out just for money, not even playing issues. Hell Jake Plummer chose retirement over playing for the Bucks. Elway was going to hold out an entire year and go play baseball instead of being picked by the Colts. Even Eli was going to sit out the NFL year if The Whale Vaginas drafted him.
