Here's the updated list of the prospects we know who have met with the Giants so far at this year's NFL Combine:

David Yankey, G, Stanford

Mauling guard who can do it all. Likely first-round pick.

Michael Sam, DE, Missouri

The pass rushing specialist and 2013 SEC defensive player of the year wants the focus surrounding him to be about football. He will get that chance over the next few months.

Cyrus Kouandijo, OT, Alabama

Mammoth offensive tackle comes with concerns after failing several physicals, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Joel Bitonio, OT, Nevada

His Combine bio labels the 6-foot-4, 302-pounder a "nasty finisher."

Jack Mewhort, OT, Ohio State

The 6-foot-6, 309-pound right tackle is likely a mid-to-late rounder.

Eric Ebron, TE, North Carolina

Top tight end on the board grew up a Giants fan. Will be an early pick.

Jace Amaro, TE, Texas Tech

Impressive pass-catching tight end who measured in at 6-foot-5, 265 pounds with a 4.74 in the 40. Likely a first or second-round pick.

Marqise Lee, WR, USC

Playmaking receiver who can do a lot of damage after the catch.

Paul Richardson, WR, Colorado

Lean vertical threat with big-time speed. Only weighed 175 pounds despite standing at 6-foot-0 tall.

Mike Evans, WR, Texas A&M

Monstrous target who stands at 6-foot-5, 231 pounds. Will be a high draft pick.

Ka'Deem Carey, RB, Arizona

Slashing back who catches the ball well out of the backfield.

Carlos Hyde, RB, Ohio State

Bruising running back who likes to punish defenders.

De'Anthony Thomas, RB/KR, Oregon

Explosive and versatile player can play running back, wide receiver and return kicks.

Adrian Hubbard, OLB/DE, Alabama (informal)

Tall (6-foot-6) pass rusher who could add some bulk in order to play defensive end in the NFL. Likely a first or second-round pick.

Justin Gilbert, CB, Oklahoma State

Generally believed to be the top cornerback in the draft and a Top 10 pick.

Well thats a nice list covering the positions we need critical help at. Great thing about our position in the draft this year is we are in excellent position to get a major upgrade at that position. Also shows management has not given up on turning DEs into LBs.

If Lewan or Martin are there, I'd prefer one of those....however, I wouldn't be too upset if we traded down a few spots, perhaps with some team hoping for Evans (the 2nd best WR behind Watkins)...and ended up with one of the top two CBs in the draft between Dennard and Gilbert.

I know the Jets are in the market for a WR or a TE...if Watkins goes before we pick, and Evans is still available...maybe the Jets jump from 18 to 12 to get their WR. If both WRs are gone, maybe they do it for Ebron, the TE.

I think Lewan is definitely gone by 18, and maybe Martin too given he's being marketed in the mold of Pugh...versatile, play all across the line...etc. Either way, I wouldn't want to trade down any further than 4-6 spots.

I agree that Evans will be good, but I think our holes on the line are more pressing.

Correct but I think 2nd and 3rd rounders plus FA should be able to fix the line... we pretty much know Nicks is gone and we need a #1 WR.

My bet for the draft (assuming they don't trade down)

1- OT (if Lewan is gone, I expect them to go with the best player, which will be WR or CB)

2- CB (if they go WR or CB in first, I suspect they will target OG Yankey if he is still available)

3- RB or TE (depends on what is left on the board)

4- OG (or TE/RB depending on what they did in the 2nd)

5- a half-ass LB (future bust)

6- a tweener DE (and future bust)

7- an unathletic lineman with size, but will be a 3-year project who will eventually be cut to make room for some other team's castaway lineman who is no better

I really hope they trade down a few spots - hence, still get Zach Martin and now have 2 second rounders to pluck a good CB and RB.

I imagine the Giants won't submit their first round pick until the last second waiting for the phone to ring as other teams make offers to trade up to the Giants' spot. Ideally, more than one team is making offers so the Giants can get a sweeter deal.

I don't think the Giants can afford to give up on Wilson and target an RB in the early rounds. There's just too much other need. Best they can hope for is a serviceable late-round back-up.

Probably too expensive, but I'd take a serious shot at Ben Tate in free agency to pair with Wilson.

Agree 100%

Runningbacks and Wide Receivers HAVE to take a back seat this draft to the offensive line.

Reese, though a combination of crappy picks, and neglect, has Eli Manning playing behind one of the shittiest lines in football. They are out of time.....and only blue chip guys like Pugh can be expected to step in as rookies and perform.....and even then, what Pugh had to deal with sucked....he deserved to have better support than that.

Anyway, if they don't get an offensive lineman in the first, I'd be stunned.

I think Yankey in round two and looks like were are looking at OG's in free agency like Jon Asamoah. There's some OT's we can get in later rounds like Seantrel Henderson.

The estimated cap number is $132M which will give us around $18M in cap space (as per Patricia Traina). As soon as possible Beason needs to be re-signed and then we need to make a run on OL. I'm hoping for at least a starting caliber G before the draft. I know Snee says he wants to play but his cap number is around $11M and that's insane especially in his condition. If we can take care of at least one of our interior OL positions it'll make the draft far easier to deal with.

Holy shit... with all the holes we have this is a really tiny # to play with... I think some guys need to take paycuts... let's face it, most don't live up to their contracts... and Eli should take a page from Brady's book.

Eli, Rolle, and Snee...restructures/extensions there could double the cap space.

However, Eli is coming off a shitty year...I'm thinking his camp isn't going to want to talk extension right now. Rolle, though some disagree, he's earned his contract being a leader, being on the field, filling in where needed. I'd look to extend him, but if he's looking for one more monster contract...it'd probably be best to let him walk...especially given the depth we have behind him. Snee...have to believe that if he doesn't restructure, he'll be cut, which is what should happen.

Rolle is good but not great... I've always said he's getting paid too much for the position itself... I like him but no BMW money for a Nissan.

Snee, it has to depend on his health... if he's able to come back then having him for less will go along way in stabilizing the line...and I have to think he'll be willing to accept a lesser contract...

Rolle, like Diehl, has value in his versatility to play CB and both S spots. Granted, he's not lights out at any, but he's certainly above average at S in my opinion. And again, he filled the leadership void that was left when Strahan left (that Tuck avoided like the plague - or so it seemed). So I think he's been far more valuable than you've given him credit for, but I'm okay disagreeing with you.

As for Snee, he's already mentioned that he'd accept less to come back. Last I read, he was an 11+ million cap hit with base salary of 6.5 million (or thereabout). Meaning, if we cut him outright, we have roughly 5 million in dead money, but 6.5 million in savings. Reducing his salary to say half...saves us 3.25 million or so, but still puts him at an 8 million hit. The play I'd make with him is to extend him 1 year at his current deal and simply spread the cap hit over the next two seasons. Keep him on the roster this year and release him next.

Rolle takes a lot of crap, considering he's spent as much time out of position as he has in position while on this team. This year he finally got to play where he was hired to play, and was arguably a pro-bowler.

Not sure where the depth is, though. Will Hill is really good, but kind of an idiot that might just flush away his career. Cooper Taylor might be good, but hasn't shown that much yet, Ryan Mundy isn't in Rolle's league, and Stevie Brown is coming back from a knee injury--assuming he's re-signed.

I'd definitely extend Rolle.

My Desired Giants Draft

By round:

1 - OL

2 - OL

3 - OL

4 - OL

5 - OL

6 - OL

7 - OL

I've been saying the same thing but now, as I look at the way the draft board might shape up - and this kills me to say - we might not draft an OL in the 1st round. That's too high for a Guard and I still don't see how we grab a Tackle with our first pick, unless we're moving Pugh inside.....and I'm not sure he's big enough - I'd rather get a big road grader type. . Beatty's contract is just too prohibitive to give up on him with four years remaining. I'll defer to those here who know the college players better than I do but if OLB Barr is there at 12, for instance, wouldn't it be prudent to grab him and get one of the highly rated Guards in the 2nd round? You could even grab another one - or a Tackle for depth - in rounds 3, 4 and/or 5.

I'm honestly hoping that we take care of the OLine in Free Agency. I'd rather not waste the last few years of Eli's career waiting for kids with no experience to find their way. In my ideal world it's OL in Free Agency and in the draft... Watkins or Evans to replace Nicks or take Gilbert if he's still on the board to pair up with Prince. If that doesn't work... hustle some other team and trade down and take the best OL. I wouldn't want to move Pugh out of position even though he's flexible enough to do so. I'd rather him stay outside and find ourselves another Chris Snee.

I know. I hear you. I'm just trying to illustrate that the giants top off-season priority in general should be OL.
