And excellent point about shockey and tiki. I think most people would say the Giants could have never won a division title without Tiki and Shockey in the line up let alone a S-Bowl. No one disputes their talent but the big issue of connecting with the team is the focus here. There is no argument for that. None!

And also agree with you Fish that I dont think Shockey wants to put in the extra time. Shockey is a maverick and has been since day one. Little kids dream of playing on a championship team and winning the S-bowl but with Shockey you have to beleive that this maybe all about Shockey's stats, his persona and money! I don't think Shockey wants to be a Tom Coughlin type NY Giant.

There is no question that something changed in Eli's game once Shockey went down and whether or not Boss is comparable to SHockey (which he is not) the elements that were on the field clicked for Eli. Yes "trust" is a great word here because that word in pro sports is the foundation of championship teams. There was a disconnect with Shockey and Eli so if Shockey wants to remain a special part of the team he will have to work hard at it with Eli checking in his ego at the door.

If the Giants continue to give Eli a very solid running game and defense I think its very possible that he could win 1 more super-bow for the g-men. He has more growing to do at the position and the Giants are a young team with a rejuvenated coach. I expect exciting football for a few years.

First off Shockey and Boss are a good combo! Shockey has his little quirky things going on but as long as he is a team player for the Giants I dont see any reason to let him go unless it was a very sweet deal. I see Shockey staying in blue !!!

The only thing that comes to mind here is that it always seems that when the Giant get and ex-Eagles players he rapidly turns to shit. (See carlos emmons and brian mitchell) All though we got those players at the end of their career I think it might be bad karma or something.

So for all those that have been patiently waiting for season tickets by the time your number is called if you want 2 to 4 tickets you will need to come up with a $20 to $40K 1x fee plus the ticket fee for the year. parking? $$$ I will watch the game at home on my 150 inch TV screen. Because with the money saved I can buy a monster monitor extend my T.V. room and have shrimp cocktail and champagne for every game for the next ten years! Season tickets will be far out of reach for most people.

Jersey, I know Tiki said he was happy with his decision but every little league football kid dreams of playing in the Super-Bowl and winning it in front of 80-M people. I think Tiki would be lying to himself. Its the biggest event in sports and he was a dollar short and a day late with his timing. But maybe if he would have stayed the Giants would'nt have made it to the big game. Martin

THe Fab 4 is gone and its seems many posters are gone as well. I come here 2x a day and its ghost town ! Giants.com is boring as hell and the children there just irritate me. Every now and then a good topic will come up but pretty lame stuff for the most part. The new site NY-FootballGiants.com has good topics and very good posters but the volume is slow as hell. Not often!! I think one of the greatest backups were Steve Young backing up Montana. This my friend just doesnt happen to often. Danny White backing up Starbauch that was another good back up. Going back in time George Blanda backing up Darell Lamonica .As you mentioned Hoss! Very rare though. I was really hoping Jim Miller last year but it was not to be!

My brother I'm sorry and I feel your pain. The 1997 game against Minny was difficult in fact as I look back I had to go outside and let off steam so my 4 kids wouldnt think the old man was crazy! I did however wake up the neighbors! In that game there was a penality for personal foul on one of the LB's I fogot who at the time but it was 3rd and like 8 and the giants stopped the vikes and they were gonna have to punt but because of that flag they continued there drive and well you know the rest.

I mean hell !!! You dont alway have to agree with the FO or the players we have. For years the FO has made many errors and yet like many of you I still wave the blue flag on Sundays. But that doesnt mean I dont curse at the players or the coaches. It doesnt mean I cant send my fist through the sheet rock because they fuck up or kick the ball off out of bounds with 60 sec. to go with the game in the bag only to lose it because the team will get the ball with good field position and kick the winning FG with 10 sec left. Or to have stupid flags with the game in hand or to have a defensive melt down losing a playoff game or to have a defensive coach (johhny lynn) who doesnt even know what team he is preparing for on sunday. If we list the bone headed coaches, players and plays and losses and unbelievable happenings that have happened its incrediable that I am still so loyal after all these years. So if I want to be negative I will !! If I want to scream when they fuck up , It will be LOUD!!! IF I want choke the people in the FO for stupid discissions that are made I will dream that I did. After all the years that I woke up on monday morning with no voice left and lack of sleep for all the monday night games we lost I say to YOU!!!!
