Hopefully we are in position to give BJ a better look this year. If we have the lead we should absolutely give him the ball and see just where we stand with him. Even if we dont have a lead I think the OC needs to get him in some type of game flow. And I dont mean 3rd and 1. Can BJ carry a series of downs as a tailback? ala Eric Dickerson

Another point and that is for a number of years aside from a secondary that didnt play well as a unit the Giants have had a weak LB unit as well. When the responsibilites of the LB's are not being covered it sure makes playing in the secondary much more difficult. I think with our upgraded Lb unit we will see a much better secondary because of it. Lets hope the DT position can be fixed !

I would agree that Will Peterson never got tested the way Allen did and there was a reason for that!! Peterson played the pass very well. Plain and simple!!

I liked peterson ( i know i'm using past tense) He was a very consitant player which was why I didnt like W. Allen that much. Anyway I wish him the best and hope as you say a miracle can happen. If he could get back to form he and Madison would be real solid at the bookends.

If and its a big IF !!!!! But lets say Will Peterson is cleared to play and makes his way back as a starter. He and Sam Madison would be the bookends. Then the question is how may backups do we carry and who do you think they will be? Note: we have 13 CB's currently on the roster. Comments? care to take a guess?

i agree !! I know others may not give a shit about this issue but a young QB like Eli needs all the reps with his receivers he can get. timming issues are due to the connection between QB and receiver and the reps are the fuel to make that happen. Fred Blitnikoff was'nt carved out of steel but caught everything in sight!!! and ran timming routes with his eyes closed. Why cant our receivers (shockey and plax) do a little Over time with the QB! There not being paid enough? Feel its below them? Think that its not gonna help? I want players that go beyond 9 to 5. With this issue your dead on having a player in unbeleivable condition isnt what makes a QB and Receiver successful. ITS REPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont know the kid at all ! but our FO has had great sucess with DE and if this trend continues OSI, Tuck, Kiwi ?? with arrington blitzing from the strong side and a rotation of Stray Osi Tuck and Kiwi this could be a nightmare for Bledsoe and Brunnel. even Mc Nabb !

Heres the thing floyd !! IF i were the GM i would have traded up for the stud DT. But we also were down a pick with #6 so we would have had very few picks 4 or 5 left depending on the deal. I would have possibly traded for Carpenter. (parcell taking this guy pissed me off) If no trade up or down I would have at least gone for 2 DT's in the 1st and 2nd. LB in the 3rd like they did and then WR, CB or OT. 4/5/7 But the bottom line is we wont know until these guys play. Put it this way in the second round Osi Umenyiora from Troy State was picked by the Giants. At that time I said " who the fuck is this guy! " Give props to EA for this pick. Lets wait it out I am dissapointed in that some of the bigger names were not taken but its hard to know exactly what will happen. Again Osi Umenyiora ??? who??

I agree with this!! Way to many CB's on the roster considering our need for DT is still weak in my opinion. I would have like to see them reach on 1 more DT !! unless there is FA in the plans.

I must say your very consistant ! would it be possible for you to post their positives? every player in the draft from the #1 pick down has a negative rap sheet. also a positive one. let see if you have it in you to post their positives!!

your right its wrong to judge a player that you know nothing about. I will judge all these new drafts in camp and pre season. Many times the players that we think will excel in the NFL don't! At least EA drafted a DE DT LB and S 4 defensive players is a good thing!
