THe also lost because the LB core was a patched unit that couldnt beat HS team. The lost playoffs you are refering to was against the panthers and if you watch the film you see a total breakdown of the entire team that day Not Eli manning alone losing the game due to his play. A total team loss and breakdown But the Giants D in particular especially the LB and secondary were horrible. Also the panthers double teamed OSi and Stray because the middle of the D line (DT's ) never colapsed the pocket affording the panthers the ability to double osi and stray giving jake Delhome plenty of time to exploit our already weak secondary. Did osi and stray have a big game that day ?? You blame Eli but as a QB in his 1st full season he played well. YEs he could have been more consistant with his passing accuracy but over all it was a solid 1st year performance. If you dont see that than keep reviewing the film. Your emotion out ways the facts ! again! name me a previous giants QB that did what eli did in his first full season.

The FAB 4 is wrong on this !! clearly You cannot name me a Giants QB that put up the stats that Eli did and the amount of wins he had in his first full year. If you can name a giants QB that did that than please POST !!! I know you cant. With that said why would you have him sit down as he only will improve in his 2nd full year. And it could happen the way you say. He might thrive playing with pierce and be very happy or the giants will pay through the nose on a player that they never should have signed. Pretty much a roll of the dice. I just wish we got the DT signing out of the way !

As long as we get the vet DT we then have what we most urgently need on the line of scrimage. Sure we could use a OLB but with the draft pretty deep in LB's i feel confident the Giants will sign 2 LB's. If we get lavar and brenston than i guess that would be ok as long as we dont have to mortgage the house for arrington. I really wonder about the value of his purchase. The saga continues !

We need a DT ! :brooding: arrington is a big risk. His health is suspect with all the injuries he had and they are numerous and his locker pressence may not be great. For the money (and this could be expensive $$) that we are gonna lay out I am not sold on this if it happens. The only thing that is interesting is the Pierce really wants him. But I really think it would be a mistake. The risk maybe too high for this type of purchase.

Thats one of the things I never do is talk about college players because i just dont know what i'm talking about !! I just dont have the time with 4 kids in my household to follow it. These profiles that come out on college players always crack me up and then its very difficult to really know for sure if i kid can make it in the pro's. Very much a risk! over the years i have seen lots of media hype on players coming out of college that went bust !! I would have no problem if the Giants signed him. He is a clutch receiver and always reminded me of Fred Blitnikoff (raiders). (i know i am dating myself) As long as he's healthy and wants to play he would be and asset ! Vet experience will help the younger receivers as well.

Oh !! about the Fag 4 crack!!! Those guys happen to be long time Giants fans that have the scars that go with the turf. I dont always agree with everything they say but I you take the time to really listen they have many valid points. The giants fan with the rose colored glasses on they will torch every time.
