I still dont think those stats are a reflection of Joseph. Lets buy a stud DT that can colapse the pocket and have Osi and Stray clean up !!! let the other DT's fight it out for the other starting position.

Will Allen was in my opinion consistant in the way he played the run well and tackled. But his defending the pass was his weak link and what i mean is he played the Reciever well up to the point where the ball was thrown and then he would either drop the ball or lose sight of it and the receiver somehow would make the play. If you took will allen and combined him with will peterson you would have a more complete player. Ints change the momentum of the game and I think getting rid of Allen is a good move. Madison has better hands than Allen for sure but its not a huge upgrade. Just slighlty madison will collect alot more INTS ! LEts sign a stud DT !!! NOW !!!!!

Mr. Money !! What about restructuring Lukes contract !! Guys like peyton manning and marvin harrison are restructuring what about Luke?? Have you heard anything? As mentioned weeks ago we have to keep Luke for the time being but with his back problem the giants FO should be able to work a better deal for the team and free up some cash!! I hope we can buy a DT CB and LB! wishfull thinking.

For a moment forget stats. Do think the Giants have the personnel at DT that compliments Stray and OSi? or would you upgrade if you could. and by upgrade i'm taking FA

Thank you "money" for taking the time to provide these stats !!! But I'm sorry these stats mean very little. When you look at it closely you find that when joseph wasnt playing the Defense had .3 less sacks 2.5 more points allowed 10 yds more passing yds allowed 8 yd more rushing and 20 total yds more. These are not big delta's im sorry ! Gezz 10 yds more passing is one pass !!! 8 yds more rushing is a D players missing one tackle. 2.5 more points allowed is a 55 yd FG !! Joseph in my opinion was not responsible for these numbers but more to due with players being injured on D. Are we saying that Joseph will make the play to stop the running back for getting the extra 8 yds more rushing? I dont hate Joseph but also know that we need and A player on the D line to support our 2 best D players in Stray and Osi. Robbins , Clancy, Joseph, Duckett and Allen are all B and C+ players none of these guys are A players and in order to create havoic on the QB we need and upgrade here. Otherwise teams will continue to double the DE"s!!! Getting a great CB is not gonna change that!!

its funny how people will let stats rule there thinking instead of logic. You cant get every player you want and if you could everyone would do it So you need to address prioritys and when you have your best 2 D players stray and osi surrounded by B and C+ players you have to give those 2 great players more of a chance to not get double teamed and maybe after 40 yrs of watchin this game i dont have a clue but i would try to get the best DT i could buy (fa) and know going into the season that my D line is going to create havoic for the QB. One very good DT can change the whole dimension of this D. To me its plain logic ! to hear stats about william joseph when he's in or not in is stupid and if you look closely at those stats that "money" provided are not very big differences. Stats can lie bacically. What i see on the field is our best 2 D players getting double teamed and if you had another A player at DT would eliminate that and free up our DE's !!! now in combination with a few good secondary players and a LB in the draft we are well on our way. i agree that both senarios will be good for the team and I like Madison at CB. The one thing that is glaring is we have 2 of the best DE's maybe in the game. (A players) and we have B and C+ players at DT. Imagine for a moment we grab a "A" player at DT that can creat a push up the middle. What that does is no double teaming for Osi and Strah. It really creates havoic at the line of scrimmage which makes the secondary better already. Qb has no time to throw! disguised Man coverage etc... I think the 3 best players closest to the QB makes the most sense. Just my opinion. things are getting a little more exciting today!

YEs i agree! Arrington has some bad wiring in the brain and as much as he could play very well next Pierce (who wants him to come to NY) the risk vs reward is a dice roll. Locker room nonsense is for the Eagles and the Vikings!! He also recovered from injury! yet another question mark.

i am not their accountant but i think with the new cap number the giants have a lot more options than yesterday. I would only guess to say that we could afford maybe 1 big signing and a medium deal for another. A stud DT and a real solid CB would change our D over night! Is it September?

Yes the amount of points was impressive but through the years the teams with a very strong stingy D were the winners deep in the playoffs and ultimately thats were the giants are headed. In some respects we need to score less points now and play very domintating D. In any case the balance must shift to focus on D. Whats very glaring is the fact that we have to very talented DE strahan and Osi and putting together the DT's that can create the push in the middle on passing downs will be so dominate that it will blow your mind. In fact one great DT through FA could change the whole complexion of what we need to do in the secondary.

i guess technically you right its 12:01 am thursday. lets hope they get it done without hurting the game.

I know many want to spend for a LB arrington etc... but we need to sure up the DT spot. Spend the money on a very good DT and CB. THe LB position should be found in the draft as well as any other talented defensive player. (Secondary yeah baby yeah!) DEFENSE is the key ! Its time we put together another great Giants D ~!!!!

absolutely 100% agreed! its not being talked about nearly enough. Pressure needs to come from the middle as well as to limit the double teams on the ends. IF we dont have those DT's that can do that then we need to blitz up the middle and stunt and do the types of things that will keep our ends one on one more. Both ends maybe the best in the league and its time we create more opporunitys for them and others. Joseph must sit !

THe fab 4 always get and A in entertainment value but when the squeel like little pigs its annoying! ELi this and Joseph that it really becomes childish. The fab 4 need to be constructive about the giants instead they resort to hate which is no better than the mock drafts at giants.com martin

I dont mind you having your opinion but at least speak with some intelligience. Carl BAnks is clearly making a comparision about 2 qbs ( eli and phil) in their 2nd year. Banks see's a more impressive ELi in his 2nd or 1st full season. I was there also and watched simms in his 1st and 2nd year and to be honest simms was bad. Eli has simms beat hands down in his 2nd year. Is that not right? Lockhart are you there? Its a fact that Eli played better in his first full season than phil simms. As far as career goes that has yet to be determined! Please give us facts not hate reviews it makes you sound like a angry child!

I totally agree !! In baseball you can only think of a hand full of teams that will compete. If you dont have a system that gives all teams a fair economic chance to get the players that they need to compete than the sport has lost its equality and balance. I dont watch the NBA or MLBaseball because of that reason.
