Losing to philly sucks but having all those opportunitys to score is killing me. As far as gilbride is concerned I would have canned him a long time ago. Eli and the offense are clearly big held back by that joke! Lets not forget that Eli better start practicing in a NASA wind tunnel in the off season.

1) Giants stadium Wind IS and issue for Eli. (he better get out there and practice) On his interview on Giants .COM he says it is not but there are issues there. 2) Not having a star receiver that demands lots of attention is huge for Eli and the offense. ( Free Agency!) 3) Gilbride is a terrible OC and was lucky last year. (I have never liked his uninspired play calling from day 1) 4) The giants with all their talent at RB and Oline cannot muster up any effective screens passes and Eli has very little touch on the football with that part of the game. (this needs to improve big time) 5) The LB core is good against the Run but very mediocre on the pass. Upgrades are in order. LB's can be better. 6) The Giants must keep Spags at all cost! Offer him anything he wants to stay. 7) If the Giants get a good OC (not even great) that would have a dramatic effect on the offense's production. Our current OC cannot make any offensive adjustment during a game let alone a playoff game. His feel for the game sucks!!! And I applaude Buddy Ryan!!! 8) Losing Osi made it very hard for Tuck down the stretch. (With kiwi, tuck and Osi we have some very talented DE's) 9) With a few changes here I see the Giants competiting again in the playoffs and winning another S-Bowl. and lastly 10) Losing to the Eagles sucks and the feeling never changes after 40 + years Note: We still have a lot of talent on this team and there is a great future ahead for us Giants fans.

Granted guys like whitten and westbrook are great players but sometimes Pierce looks way out of position. I may be dead wrong and I would not go against a guy like Carl Banks but Pierce does not have the speed to keep up it seems. It could be the players around him need to step up also.

Madden can be annoying for sure! but would you rather have a Darly (moose) Johnston or Joe i'm gay Buck or Tony Kornball-heiser. he's annoying like your father lecturing you for the millionth time but you love him anyway. If we lost madden we would miss him. i know i would.

I just dont that putting Plax behind bars for 3 1/2 years is the right thing! He is not a criminal He is however stupid He should be punished but not the fullest extent of the law.

Having 3 losses in a row is a problem right before the playoffs. and then beating the vikings at home a team that is hungry could relate to even 4 losses. Now this is getting a little ahead here but to say that even if the giants lose 4 in a row it doesnt matter sounds absurd to me. Look at it this way if the Giants win on sunday night they get the bye, they gain confidience they have no pressure to win against the vikings. If they lose you have a 4 game potential losing streak, no rest, pressure to win against the vikings and a team has very little confidience going into the playoffs.

Hey Dog!! Well in Martin's opinion this a must win game! Losing 3 straight and then going to Minesota for a potential 4th straight loss would be demoralizing. The Giants need rest, they need to re-gain there confidience and that comes with this win. Losing this game is huge in so many ways. To say that losing this game isnt so bad doesnt make any sense to me. Does anyone here on this board have a memory? The Panthers embarrased us in our own stadium last time!! No the Giants must win this game and regain momentum now!!!

Last night's game and what has happened for 2 past games is nothing more than that Giants cant play infront! They need there backs against the wall. They need the media to be against them. They need there fans to be sceptical. They need to be the hunter not the hunted. Oline problems, Gilbride stubborness, no plax, no shockey , no strahan, no tiki, no Osi, no matter the giants only play well from behind you all know it if you been a fan for any length of time. Yes the oline needs to step up and we need Jacobs and Gilbride need to get his head out of his ass but these 2 losses have created Urgency and Coughlin didnt have a concerned look after the philly game NOW he looks very CONCERNED and this will translate into the lockeroom! I expect a totally different team on Sunday night at home. You will see energy and intensity! I believe we will see the defending SUPER BOWL CHAMPION beat the PANTHERS and show why we won 12 games this year!!!

I dont think so amigo! Its very clear that Plax has issues and if they get out of hand he's gone! Reese is gonna cut him loose. Maybe he will be cool from here on out but what I saw on the field the other day spoke volumes about who Plax is. Its on thing to have a ref give you a bad call but then personal foul and then you curse at the coach? You tell people in the media I dont give a rats ass after you blow off practice!! This is all in my mind? It not media bull shit! Your trippin!! And yes this guy wants the ball and Eli has forced balls to him and thats not media bullshit either! If the guy does the right things like his other teamates then fine otherwise cut him loose next year. This is real live Plax not the media pal !!! NAS there is something to this as far as the offense is concerned! Eli plays better when not pressured by his own players. He deals with the pressure of the game better than having to force it to shockey or plax. If plax just plays and keeps quite than all will be fine. Look at Chad Johnson big mouth where does it get the team in the end? I know receivers have big ego's and want the ball but Eli is more dangerous when he spreads the ball around. Plax better be careful I dont think J-Reese is happy about this and something tells me he wouldnt hesistate to pull the trigger if it will be a permanent problem!!

The thing that is extremely important in regards to Plax is that Reese sit down with this guy and lay it on the line as you mention. Plax needs a talkin to from the head man. Depending on how that meeting goes and how Plax is the rest of the season will determine what happens next year. I would absolutely be checking his value and what possible teams we could deal with if I were Reese. I think the Giants could win big without Plax also. Eli will find the open man and that can mean any talented receiver. Plax is not the Giants! He is a giant thats all and one who is disrespectful to the coach. He is on thin ice. Any more problems and this is over the top! My advise to Coughlin and Reese be ready, be prepared!!!

i see it the same way! it was a closer game than the end total. the giants were in the game all the way but turnovers kill you and as a whole from coaching to player the giants didnt look sharp. They were missing that flow. The defense and Eli's mistakes were the end game to last nights loss.

I also take the middle ground with the Giants. Tough division and many variables that happen through the course of the season but there is plenty of potential to keep getting better. Should be a good competitive season.

And the other thing is the fact the Eli from everthing I read is very sharp with his passing. Can't wait to play the cow turds !!!
