Its not time to panic. at least not now! Based on the first 2 "pre-seaon games" the passing game has not done anything But you have to have patience with this one. I think the receivers will come alive and lets be real here the pass protection has to be there. Aside from Buress, Amani was not a threat deep or even over the middle. Smith had a bigger role last year and I see that continuing. These new guys will step but it will be a little painful for a few games. The D and the running game wil be critical the first few games. I just dont think anyone really knows for sure about our receiving core so let it play out for now. Than if all goes bad then let the bitching begin.

Thats what my heart says that there is talent there as long as Manning gets protection and protection is the key to all of this. We know with our running game play action is gonna help. The Oline has been very healthy last year but every year is different. Lets hope your right that there's nothing to be worried about.

I cant understand it either! We know Jacobs, Bradshaw and Ware. We dont know the receivers or at least most of them. Give them the ball!

i havent seen great pass protection from the 1st through 3rd oline's. protection has not been good.

and injuries seem to be adding up! I have not been impressed with the pass protection for Eli as well.

Its still "just pre-season" but in several weeks you wont be able to use that line anymore. Jerry Reese has made some very good moves up to this point as Giants GM but even the best have there bad ones. Talent lurks somewhere in those receivers all fighting to be starters but none emerges yet. The Giants will seem to have another real good running attack but being one dimensional is a limited offense and one that really favors the opposing defenses. Without a main go to receiver (at least we can say that so far) the Giants total offense is a major question. The Bears game is a fluke thing and some say the offense lags behind the defense but as a fan you get a very uncomfortable feeling that all is disconnected so far and with the opener moving all too close the Giants receivers and QB connection need to come alive and quick. Again its "just pre-season" and there is receiver talent waiting to emerge but the question is time is not on their side. Jerry Reese took a major risk hoping to have an effective receiving core that lacks a major #1 receiver. Jerry's track record is real good and so giants fans keep waiting. I look for a renewed Giants team against the Jets lets see if the passing game comes alive. Pre season game 4 is always weak and starters dont play much so this Jets game is a big game for the receivers. I would think Eli plays a full half to 3 qtrs. Chime in anytime!

We're doomed??? Jerry Reese has done a great job up to this point. The Giants are a deep team but not every position will be pro bowl calibre. I dont think you'll ever really be happy with the Giants until they make moves exactly as JAK would make them. Even if they win multiple S-bowls its only right if they follow your thinking. To help your mental condition out I would follow a new team unless you become the GM of the Giants and if that happens I will follow a new team!!

I was amazed at how good the commentating was. Gruden is excellent he's smart and exciting. Both mike carico and jaws had to follow his lead through out the evening. It was a pleasure to have some good football talk that made sense. .

Changing for the sake of change will haunt you. Meaningful changes make sense not quick emotional tantrums to satisfy a whim that day.

I just dont see the cause for alarm with the Giants. Eli and Carr can win games THe back field and O line are very solid TE position may surprise us this year. WR talent looks very promising and all players are getting Reps with ELi. The secondary has young talented guys THe D line may be award winning this year The LB core has been upgraded and there are players like Goff and Wilkinson that may emerge. Boley once healed has potential. Is Pierce the most dynamic MLB since Harry Carson? No! But with speed around him and a great D line with a real good secondary I would take Pierce with his experience and attitude. Not every position will be pro bowl. You can win with less if everyone believes in each other we proved that in our most recent SuperBowl beating a historic NFL team in NE. Paper teams are made out of paper. Like a Forest Gump line.

irrational seems like the wrong word to me. Loyality and being professional might be old school but when you cross that line for that kind of money your will here strong opinions. If irrational means that plax is and asshole so be it. Politically correct words dont belong when speaking of him.

Without a great supporting cast Pierce's skills at this moment don't cut it anymore. He is a good QB in the middle of the D but that doesnt always mean he can execute. Losing Boley's speed hurts him more than the rookie being injured. If Kehl improves that will help. Wilkinson is a question mark. Pierce in coverage has been scary.

Which leads us to money. The fkin guy wants more money the giants give it to him and the stupid asshole as you mention in 5 fkin hours melts down. 47 team infractions!!! Fuck this guy!

The Giants are a talanted well coached team. with good chemistry. There are a few items that make your cross over the line into playoff and Superbowl territory. 1) team injury 2) being hot at the right time 3) Some luck Noone can foresee those items. The Giants are well stocked with talent and are just as capable as any team in the NFL to go all the way.

It must of been hard for Eli to work with Plax. Eli has such a dedicated work ethic and respect for the game and Plax only cared about himself. With all these new receivers around Eli working hard I have no doubt the passing game will make great strides. Anyone thinking that John Mara would take back Plaxico is high. When the Giants let someone go that means they gave every chance and benefit of the doubt.

he really played well. He looked very sharp. I believe he would be fine. Our O line would protect him well.

Its the pressure. Eli can play under great pressure and make plays. Trent Dilfer didnt make great plays under pressure he managed the game put up a touchdown a couple of FG's and his defense totally carried the team. Eli in the playoff run made great throws with lots of pressure and thats why he was picked in the first place. Ernie saw that an grabbed him and up to this point Ernie was right. If Eli continues to make progress it was a fabulous pick.
