  1. I feel like I'm pretty equal in hatred for the Cowfellators as I am with the E-gals. But for some reason I've got more respect for the Redskins....well, I used to, pre-Dan Snyder.
  2. Wow. Well, this is coming from ESPN, so we know off the bat that these guys don't know what they're talking about. Anything can happen each year. But the Giants made a lot of 'experts' look incredibly stupid last year. I think this is the backlash.
  3. Whoa, Madison is the Dime? Is he injured, or are the CBs really that deep this year? I thought Madison was solid last year, I didn't think he'd get passed on the depth chart so soon.
  4. The truth is spoken. But Cofield looks great from what I've seen (vs. the Browns) & heard, and Robbins is highly underrated. We'll count on them for more pass rush, and while none of them - or anyone in the league for that matter - can match Tuck on the inside, they're no slouches themselves.
  5. I like playing optimist this time of year, so I hear you, its way too soon to write these guys off. Losing the depth hurts, but at this point in their careers I wouldn't be suprised at all if Tuck is an upgrade over Stra. Kiwi can hang with Osi in the RDE speed rusher role. I don't think Wilson to Phillips will be much of a downgrade at safety - maybe even a big improvement by year end - and after another year of experience I feel better about our other DBs this year than last. If Denny Clark can be the sort of role player - a banger that doesn't shy from taking on blocks - at SAM that Torbor was last year, the '08 D is a Barry Cofield breakout season from being just as dominant on D as the '07 squad.
  6. lol...yeah, counting kick returns I've seen Moss retreat from the D on probably 10 or more occasions. And even when he doesn't run backwards or sideways, he seems to lay down when contact comes close. He's got to learn to explode through contact, he's a powerful guy for his size. Its like he's sort of intimidated though. He's sounded better this camp than he ever has though, even if he can only run a couple simple patterns effectively.
  7. Houstons a popular pick this year, but I say none-of-the-above. Arizona has the best chance IMO, but they've been making prognoticators of their success look stupid for years, so I want no part of them.
  8. We suck! 1st overall pick in '09 Draft, here we come! ...sorry, I thought I was still on Giants.com for a moment.
  9. :yikes: my eyes, my eyes!
  10. Hey, Dave was pretty good for a cornerback who ran the 40 in 5 seconds flat. He makes a pretty good hamburger too.
  11. So strange. I'm lukewarm on the trade, I think that long term it will be a good move. But you're right, he just doesn't look right in that uniform. God I hope the Saints go in the tank. I'll be rooting hard for a 1-15 season and a healthy Vilma.
  12. Any word on how he's playing so far? I think he's been running with the 3rd team.
  13. Hopefully never. Its BIG FUCKING BLUE, damnit!
  14. Starts at $1200...not unreasonable for a cruise. If only I weren't broke
  15. I think only on 3rd downs, or if Tuck gets injured.
  16. ...4 top ten defenses last year. God I love the NFC East.
  17. I'm as concerned about the Eagles as I am the Cowboys. If they stay healthy they're as good as any team in the NFC. Except a healthy Giants team, of course
  18. Hell no thats not too much. Thats the reasonable thing to do. The man is underpaid. Pay the man.
  19. But on the bright side, we only had three aces on the field for the entire playoff run. Kiwi is coming back
  20. I'm with Plax on this one. He should get a ~50% bump in salary and a couple more years on the end of his deal. Don't screw this up, Giants. Keep the man motivated, show him the love.
  21. I'm not sure if thats Coughlin's strategy or Reese's, but I think you're right, and I think they're on to something. Although, I think a lot of teams have some flexibility at LB. I (unfortunately) get to watch a lot of the Bengals, and they play their DE at LB sometimes, just like we do with Kiwi, and move the other LBs around to other positions. But...they're the Bengals, so you know how that turns out.
