Anyone Who Blames Eli

Andre Johnson still put up stupid numbers with David Carr and that shitty Oline.

Then he did it with Matt Shaub.

Cruz works best when he isnt the defenses focus, so in other words he's a slot WR, trying to play and make #1 money.

I don't understand the hate for the guy getting paid... he maybe overpaid but that's not the worst thing the FO did.... I think the mishanding of Nicks and I don't only mean the contract issue... but the health issue... something has to be said for protecting your star WR much like you protect your star QB... Cruz making the big bucks can be blamed on Reese but I'm not going to hate on the guy for his payday...

My issue with Cruz is this... don't demand the ball and then drop 3 passes. I couldn't care less if one of the passes was a little out of his reach. Star WRs make those catches. Cruz right now seems more interested in sneakers, clothing lines and photoshoots than actually playing football.

Randle had a huge, drive-killing drop as well after a semi-decent game.

Jennings picked the absolute worst time to have his first fumble in 2 years.

Bowman's missed tackle deflated the team, but it was Demps and his lack of situational awareness and ball-handling that put the bullet in our feet.

Eli's 1st INT was a bad throw on a crossing route that was doomed from the start since Cruz was stumbling and not looking for the ball. Even if Eli made a good throw... at best it would've been incomplete.

On the plus side... I think we've found a TE, Eli was a LOT better today than he's been recently and it seems like JPP is starting to come on a bit.

Pretty much the conclusion I was going to post. Eli played much better, but I'll give the offensive line some credit there...he had more time to throw this week and the offense seemed to gel a little more.

I think this is a loss that the team can learn from and despite it still being a loss, gain some confidence/buy-in to the offensive system.

True but it was on a tip. I can't fault him too much for it.

I blame Cruz for the three drops much more than Eli.

I didn't get a good look at it as I was watching a stream, but it looked like it hit a lineman's shoulder. It was a bad decision by Eli.

Otherwise I agree, he looked pretty sharp. I'd be nice if Cruz held onto a few. But that Handsome Sumbitch Quinn has got to go...aww heck, what am I sayin'. I wish I could quit you!

The insane focus on picking up return specialists was fucking stupid, too. Demps is a shitty safety and has a history of fumbling returns....and a history of taking the ball out of the endzone 8 yards deep, apparently.

Yeah, this is pretty spot-on, bro.

The one thing I'll add is that even though Bowman missed the tackle, he was down there in time to make a play and slowed Ginn down....so where is the follow up, the guys swarming to the ball. Ginn could have drove a semi through the missed gap assignments on that play. When your long snapper and the punter are the only ones who could have even made a play after the initial contact, there is something systemically wrong with the special teams coverage.

The NFL.com write-up is spot on:

The Giants led 14-13 with 11 minutes to play. Then it all fell apart. A Victor Cruz drop on third down was followed by Ted Ginn's 71-yard punt return for a touchdown. On the ensuing kickoff, Giants return man Quintin Demps lost a fumble. The Cardinals kicked another field goal. Finally, with the Giants driving into the red zone, Rashad Jennings lost his footing and fumbled without being touched. These are the types of mistakes bad teams make.

It did. Which site were you using for steams? The one I was using had so many popups and ads.

That I forgot to add as well as some praise for the oline's pass blocking for most of the game.

All of them. And all of them sucked.

The stream wasn't too bad but the annoying ads were a pain. I installed all the popup blockers I found for FireFox and it helped. I paid for NFL Sunday ticket one year but it's such a rip off. The woman told me to just order it but considering I'll only need it maybe 6 times that's $40 a game. If the streams were brutal I would but they are decent quality.

I can handle the pop-ups, it was the jerky nature of the streams that was giving me a headache, like a 3 second cycle. Later they were freezing at every snap, so I was missing all the actual plays. I tried a higher kbps stream but it has Nascar audio mixed in, and kept pausing and jumping backwards.

The main reason I'm considering Sunday Ticket is so I can DVR the games. With the baby my free time is hard to schedule.

You know.. I alwasy tend to be so focused on the game that by the end (win or lose) from the tension, I usually end up with a bad headache... Sophie provided enough distraction that kept the headaches away...

Aren't you in Canada? Get GamePass. Its 200 bucks for the season.

It does get kind of funny from time to time, but overall its worked a lot better than those .eu sites that have six zillion pop up ads. I'll pay the money to not have the headache of trying to find a good stream.

You'd think with all the technology in the world, one would be able to watch NFL games anywhere in the world... I know I felt out of place when I was in Yemen a few years back and not able to watch games... streaming was horrible to the core.
