Assuming Herbert doesnt declare this year - which most likely he wont, should the Giants trade away their top pick for a couple more 1st rounders and shore up the rest of the team and OL mainly. Roll with Eli another year under the new system and an upgraded OLine and go for Tua Toglavailoa the following year? Theyll have better options wont they?

I am not high on Herbert. Depending on where they pick I would take Jonah Williams then try to come back into the 1st round for Will Grier

I don't follow a ton of college ball, but I watched two of Herbert's games online and he looked phenomenal in both.

I think Herbert is easily a match for any of the 2018 QB prospects, probably better. As far as I know he's the only one on that level though. Grier? GTFO. May as well bring back Geno Smith.

And I'm not buying for a minute that Herbert won't come out just because his little brother is going to be on campus next year, taking a pass on $30 million only to risk injury playing for free would be fucking stupid.

Herbert reminds me a lot of Matt Stafford, but with a lot more foot speed. Or Josh Allen, with experience against talented players.

I'm not too impressed either... I don't think any team would want to trade with the Giants to move up... Which means the Giants will pick the BPA (Bosa)... Our DE line position is atrocious anyway.

I have no problem with the Giants not wanting to draft a QB if they don't feel like any are worthy.

Use the picks to help build up this bottom of the NFL O line and get a safety who can actually cover a fucking pass.

However they can't roll into next year with only Eli.

Bring in Mr check down in Bridgewater or fuck go trade for a guy, someone who can at least change things up, fuck even if it's Lauletta, someone other than Eli.

I'd roll into next year with Lauletta and Webb as the only two QBS.

Let one start one game the other the next, winner with the best stats gets the job on 2020.

Not like the Oline will be any better by then lol

Not big on Tua. He has some of the best WR in College and he plays in a great system.

Anyone getting a wave of  "Sean Taylor vs. Robert Gallary" nostalgia coming over them?

I was actually on board the Ben "I don't take no for an answer"-Burger

Thought he had the bigger arm, and was more mobile for a big body QB.

Or Larry Fitzgerald.

Glad they picked Eli though, love that big goofy bastard, even if he cant throw a pass anymore.

I was totally team taylor. I was still holding onto that big 2002 year our offense had and chalked 2003 up to injuries.

I wanted Gallery or Roethlisberger.

One would have been a pretty decent pick.

I wanted Eli, but i didn't follow the draft as much back then. I just Inge of Eli due to being an lsu fan and setting him play, and of course the Payton being his brother thing. I'd watched previous drafts, but that was the first one where i had an opinion on Who we should pick.

After watching that Tua kid last night, I honestly don't see why he's considered a first round or any round QB at this point.

The RB and WRs he has there are beasts.

He basically throws a five yard out and the WR makes the play to break off a big gain.

"Oh look at Tua make that play" - some stupid CFB commentator lol

he's a real sleeper, every time I've flipped over to a Washington St. game, Minshew is making plays.

Probably a Lauletta-level prospect is my guess though.

Honestly if we don't draft somebody this year I'm not sure what we're going to do. At the very least we need a developmental guy to groom for a few years (the guy Webb was supposed to be, and that I doubt Lauletta is).

There's a good chance we end up in quarterback hell if we don't get a top-3 pick and/or land Herbert this offseason.
