Lets say he continues to grow as a player.  Keeps showing the improvement week to week in his play.  Continues to be that offensive spark.

Plays well and beats the Saints.

Plays well and keeps us competitive against the Eagles.

Plays well and either beats or is competitive against the Rams.

Plays well and beats the Eagles.

And lets say he becomes more than a game manager, but really starts putting some offensive production together.  A couple 300 yard 2+ TD performances and is a difference maker on the offense and the O is scoring 20+ each game, sprinkling in 30 points in a couple of those games.

At what point, if this happens, do you say we don't draft a QB and Tommy deserves a legit shot to start next season.

I think we are already at that point...   for all intents and purposes, it looks like the Giants will be out of the running for one of the top 2 QB's in the draft.    I do not think anything gets improved by drafting a mid-tear at best QB onto this team and starting from rookie scratch.

Training camp has to open with a competition for Starter QB, depending on Jones' health it needs to be Jones, DeVito and some sort of Veteran QB all with a chance to be the opening day starter.   I do not think Tyrod will be that guy.

DeVito is a good story right now, but he is one 3 INT game away from being called worse that Zach Wilson and people boycotting his father's plumbing business.

I've got a feeling his father's plumbing business doesn't do a whole lot of plumbing.

It’d be a dream if somehow we could confidently go into the offseason with devito and jones and focus on building the rest of the team

He is actually my co-workers plumber, and she says that he is a really good guy.  They did her bathroom remodel, he came on a weekend with no extra charge to make some adjustments.     She had told me about him when Tommy first got called up from the practice squad.

This morning on WFAN he was the voice on a commercial for peerless tankless hot water heaters.

I think if this is the case you take a guy that falls with one of the two second round picks (maybe a McCarthy or Sanders) and let all three guys compete for the spot.

I agree... it does not have to be a first rounder... second round QB's should still be decent if coached right.

I think it is just a crapshoot with QB's coming out of the draft. So many number ones have turned into dudes. Jalen Hurts was drafted in the second round for example. Still unsure where DeVito's ceiling is. That line has to protect him against the Eagles.

Neither knows the other got it for them...   will be one good laugh on Christmas morning!

Maybe he can sneak us a win against the fucking Eagles as I will be stuck with my Eagle fan in-laws for a couple days
