  1. And I’d say go watch those playoffs again. Maybe the d gets the glory in the Super Bowl, but Eli was the best player on the field during the entire playoff run.
  2. Go ahead and put me in the Nix camp for now.
  3. Weird situation for Jones and the Giants. If you assume we're in the market for a top of the draft QB, and since Jones contract pretty much ensures he will be on teh team next season, it creates a weird situation. Sure, from the Giants perspective it is a good theoretical situation of having a rookie sit behind a competent qb for a season instead of being thrown to the fire. But do you do that to Jones? One injury filled year behind a terrible offensive line and no weapons when the world pretty much agrees we did not set him up to succeed, after signing the big contract to be the qb of the future. I guess you can look at it as an opportunity to interview for the rest of the league, but that is a pretty shitty situation to put him in.
  4. He was trying to run from a sack and tripped over Cager. I didn't see a replay of what happened to his leg yet. Feel bad for the guy.
  5. Good trade. No chance jones get dealt. If nothing else he will take the pounding next year while the draft pick sits.
  6. I was going to come here to say I do not see how you replace Taylor for Jones at this point. Other than the financial commitment. Not that TT is going to be the starter of the future, but he gives you the best chance to win games this year and also gives you an opportunity to evaluate the talent you have on offense.
  7. McLaurin could be a dominant WR on a real team
  8. Yeah I feel like a pos now. I do feel for him. Me wife has struggled with a neck injury for years. Never really goes away. Of course I wish him a full recovery.
  9. And the Tommy Devito era of greatness begins
  10. I don't want him fired, and there are plenty of reasons this team sucks, including those you mention. But for the life of me every single important player on the team, that should be the building blocks of the next 10 years, is playing the worst football in their lives. Jones has literally never looked worse. Except for one half of one game, he is been the absolute worst QB to take a snap this season. Neal is the worst RT in the league Thibs is honestly a borderline starter at this point I can't say Mickenney is playing bad, but you don't hear his number called around the ball like a couple years ago. Even Thomas, before getting hurt, wasn't playing his best ball. Not that Slayton, Campbell, Hodgins were world beaters, but not much going on with those guys. Robinson is THE ONLY pass catcher that causes excitement. Waller is invisible. The defense actually isn't bad, actually I think considering everything they've played about as well as expected. But the offense is the worst thing to ever step on a field, and if not for the 2nd half of the Cards game, they would be proving that statistically. And yeah, I am in no rush to clean house again, but something needs to spark this coaching staff because they are not getting it done, from coaching players to calling plays.
  11. Look, I don't want to go there. But if we're going to have the conversation about Daniel Jones, I think we have to talk about this coaching staff. Name one guy that has improved their game from last season. Every significant player on the roster that was on the team last season looks like they have regressed badly. At least from what I have seen. Jones, Neal, Thibs, Hodgins, Slayton, Jackson. Not that the regression is equal among them all, but I would say none of them has shown improvement. If you go back to the Thibs / Neal draft. They were the right picks, I think 9 out of 10 fans and GMs make those picks in those spots. For both of them at this point to look like busts (Thibs did have a really good game this week though), that can't be bad luck, right? There were maybe questions there, there were better guys drafted in front of them we knew were better, but at 5 and 7, those were the guys. And the play that keeps bugging me, the Tush push, as it was happening I was thinking they were copying the league trend but didn't look like it was something they were committed to the decision to go for it and run that play. Like they felt they had to because that is what the league says they have to do, but when you watched them in formation, that aggressive tension you see other teams doing on this play, it wasn't there. That eagerness of each guy to drive the guy in front of them through the endzone and get a coupel yards. Then I heard they have never even live practiced it, only walk throughs. So what is it, was it just that Dabol was new, had some plays, and now the league is on to it and he isn't adjusting? How can this team be so bad, and have gotten so much worse?
  12. If you Google Reddit nfl streams the first or second link has some options. I used it a couple seasons. Sportsurge got so bad.
  13. Honestly it’s nice to at least no he cares about something. Maybe it drives some anger in him and he uses it to get better. but like Herc said, playing that money card, that will stay a while. And it’s not like he’s an established vet having a bad stretch. He’s got those millions and has done shit in this league. Wasn’t thereAnother guy years ago talk shit about poor fans?
  14. I’d never be against the giants. But it’s tempting
  15. It was apparent the first drive he was not going to look downfield, and even if he did he couldn't pull the trigger. Opening drive he rolled left, two guys were open. The RB check down about 2 yards over the LOS and a WR about 10-15 yards downfield. With a little time to throw, he threw it to the MORE covered guy closer to him. DJ just isn't it. Call it shell shocked, whatever. He has had years to figure his game out, showed a minimal level of competency last season, got paid, and just shows no spark and looks as bad as he ever has. Bad fumbles, bad INTs, bad reads, bad pocket awareness, hell he can't even slide anymore when running.
  16. But they have a level of competence the Giants have shown for exactly 2 quarters this season. They've scored 9 first half points this season and have been bad in every way they can be bad. It is actually mind-boggling how just completely fucking terrible they are at everu facet of the game.
  17. I honestly can't identify a single win the rest of the way. Odds are they take one from the Commanders and there is a reasonable chance they can beat the Jets, but this team is sooo fucking bad, it is just as believable they lose out.
  18. Is it even worth attempting a blocked punt considering it is just as likely you'll just get a running into the kicker?
  19. If your going to throw it behind the line of scrimmage, just send those to Wandale, Paris Campbell ain't that guy it seems.
  20. Which, I don't want to be that guy, but the "Maybe it's coaching" thread has had me thinking. Second year under this staff. Which 3.5 games in, which player has shown improvement from last year? It seams pretty much everyone has regressed. The key guys anyway...Thibs, Neal, Jones. Who's the guy on the team last year that is playing at a higher level this year?
