  1. I think that is getting too cute with the rules. That was a catch.
  2. He really is phenomenal. He has all the intangibles of Peyton Manning with insane mobility, pocket presence, and ability to throw on the run. He's like the perfect blend of Fran Tarkenton, Dan Marino, and Joe Montana.
  3. When 11 players end up across the line of scrimmage, that is a pretty good O line.
  4. I don't care if Toney gets MVP. Fuck the Eagles.
  5. He certainly deserves it, and others guys as well. But to me, they can just give that award to Andy Reid every year. It seems clear he is the best coach in football and has been for a long time. Sure he's had the luxury of having a talented roster pretty much his whole career, but he gets every drop out of them. They lost one of the best receivers in the league and that offense never missed a beat. Year in, year out, Andy Reid teams are in the hunt for a championship.
  6. If there is a warm body with a history of successfully playing the wide receiver position at an NFL level, and we can potentially afford them, we should be interested.
  7. Watched it with my roommates. Had sworn off Sam Adams for two weeks and as soon as it was over I popped one open.
  8. I have an authentic LT blue and authentic Eli white. I've got a replica Strahan SB jersey that I got real cheap right after the SB, but it is too small. I pretty much just wear the LT jersey if I'm in a situation to wear a jersey (watching games at a sportsbar). I did wear it to work Monday just cuz, but that was the first time. Gave a ton of replica jerseys to my nephew several years ago - Tiki, Shockey, Eli, Toomer, and a bunch more.
  9. Oh I fucking love beans. I know traditionally chili is made sans beans, but I love it with beans and ground beef.
  10. I'm a little worried. I decided to use dried beans, soaked them overnight and the chili has been in the crock pot most of the day and the beans are still a touch hard. Using the backup crock pot because I anticipated making a roast for my wife in the primary crockl pot, and the one I am using I think the low setgting is a little too low. Turned it on high and my plan is to cookt he piss out of them.
  11. On the bright side Webb might end up being a pretty good coach for the Giants under Daboll.
  12. Really one of the better outcomes we could have hoped for in this game. The backups kept the game reasonable throughout, a few of the guys played above expectartions, the ERagles can;t feel great going into the playoffs while the Giants have nothing but positives almost no matter what the outcome of this game would have been. Would have been bad to play the styarters and get demolished. I'm not even going to go back and fix the spelling. Shit did I get drunk during a nothing game.
  13. Well at least there is no QB controversy. Webb might be a top 5 worst QB to take a snap in giants history.
  14. Nas has been trying to calm his boner all morning. But imagine this mother fucker drops 400 yards after jones being announced Eli’s daddy already.
  15. Nobody really thinks we’re going to win the Super Bowl. There’s nothing to jinx. It’s more the exceeding the expectations and feeling good about the direction of the team.
  16. I keep trying to temper expectations and be realistic, but I just can't help but get that 2007 vibe to this team, right down to the decision to play the starters in the last game against a top team with a high powered offense.
  17. Do I understand it right that we stand in the way of the division for the Eagles next week?
  18. Goddamn this has been about as fun a season as I can remember. Very little expectations but a lot of questions. Those questions sitar to be answered and we’re going to the playoffs.
  19. Biggest game in Daniel Jones' career. What kind of QB are you kid?
  20. I mean, yeah DJ may have a better completion percentage. But the difference is Eli went down the field with the ball. Eli's career yards per completion is more than a yard higher than DJ and is in Peyton and Favre territory. DJ's high completion percentage is because he's spent a lot of time throwing 5 yard curls. Not to say Eli didn't benefit from OBJ, Cruz, etc taking a slant 60 yards, but Eli was still taking his shots. In fact in those early years the best part of Eli's game was the deep ball. The difference is, by year 4, Eli was taking over games in the 4th quarter, elevating the team around him, and winning games. And Eli threw a lot of INTs, but I'll goddamn bet he leads the fucking league in career INT's that hit his own fucking guys hands first. I like DJ and his potential. I've been up and down on him all season, but I'm comfortable seeing if he can do it with better support for a couple years. But there is no comparison between him and Eli at this point. By year 4, albeit with better support and coaching, we all knew we had that guy with Eli, even if he made mistakes. And by year 4 he was, you know, winning a super bowl.
  21. Yeah I’d be doesn’t get hurt they can cut him and save big money. What a shitty thing to do.
  22. It's close. I think Carr is a slightly better QB, but given cost, age, and DJ's running ability I'd keep him too.
  23. Definitely most of the tier 1 QBs, at least the ones winning games, have top tier talent around them. No question. One reason I wouldn't want want a guy like Rodgers or Stafford, who I think both could win a SB, is because it would be way too much QB investment on a shit team. But I'm also not willing to say dropping Jones onm the Eagles squad has them at 13-2, or putting him on the Bengals has him putting up Joe Burrow numbers. I like the guy, I like his potential, I like who he is as a teammate, but realistically I don't know if he that guy, but he probably has a couple years to become that guy with a better team around him.
