  1. The end of game play calling was reckless at best, and the 3rd and 1 throw to Nicks was idiotic. That's a tough throw and catch. Like Storm said no fancy shit you need 3 fucking feet get it and keep the clock moving. That said, a win is a win. My bitching ends now. I was very impressed with Griffin. Hes even better than I expected. Morris ran like a bull today. The Redskins are coming I hope we can find a gameplan for them they played well.
  2. Eagles are beating the Falcons after the bye.
  3. I agree. The Ravens just got decimated I don't think they'll overcome those losses in the playoffs. Denver is going to be a very dangerous team. It's only week 6 and Peyton is already pulling this shit. It should only get better for them.
  4. I was kidding. If they weren't, we would have a problem.
  5. I think some people were just frustrated that he hadn't made it through camp healthy in either season. I can't imagine them actually believing he was a bust. It's the most athletically demanding position and he had a foot injury. Not a very good combination. He definitely looks good so far. Him and Hosley have the potential to form a nice tandem down the line. They might even end up being better than the two Wills.
  6. They lost their best corner Webb to a torn acl as well. Tough week for them. Our schedule is tough but this team can beat anybody when they're playing fundamentally sound and everything is firing on all cylinders. Yesterdays win was a big "fuck you you haven't arrived yet" to the 49ers. It reminded me of the '08 season before things went south. Hopefully this gives them added confidence and momentum to go on a nice run. There's no reason they can't do that, especially with the team getting healthier and the o-line and secondary starting to really gel.
  7. If I wasn't working Peking Duck would be a great choice for tonight.
  8. I like our chances. The Niners haven't been challenged in two weeks and I think that benefits us. Not that they won't be prepared but you almost can't help letting down a bit with how easy it's been for them. Let's say 23-20 and we will need 7 on the last drive.
  9. One of Cruz or Nicks will have a big day. San Francisco is a very good team but we're the best offense they've played when you factor in the Packers inability to protect Rodgers. It will be great to have Nicks back out there. I hitched my wagon to just about every team I have with him.
  10. He's an old 29. The defense looked like this last year too. A playoff run with a Super Bowl victory helps you forget about that sometimes. I still think Tuck has ability and he is a big game player the only question is if we get there. At Atlanta, at Baltimore and the Eagles at home to close the season better hope they have their shit together by then.
  11. You're right. All the regular season does is provide you with an opportunity to play for a championship if you perform well enough. After that it's a few 60 minute seasons. Just get in.
  12. Man I hope so. Hixon, Randle, and Barden have stepped up at different times in his absense but they can't replicate what Nicks brings, especially against an elite defense. Even if he isn't 100%, he'll command attention which should help Cruz. Plus, he's killing all of my fantasy teams.
  13. Yeah, fundamentals are going to be key. Obviously the team has to play well but keeping penalties to a minimum and winning the field position battle will be very important. No turnovers either. One turnover can lose a game like this.
  14. We haven't played particularly well so far but our exploits in the Superdome is an entirely different animal. Even Aaron Brooks put up 40 on us down there.
  15. Eh, you're 2-3 with one of the best players in the game leading your team. It's disappointing to lose to a rebuilding Colt team but they beat the Vikings too. It looks like Luck is progressing faster than expected. You haven't lost any division games either. I've seen worse. Rodgers is getting the shit kicked out of him though that has to change.
  16. Yeah, I can't really complain about Hixon. We basically got him for nothing and he's a more than adequate fill in for Nicks or Cruz. I'll give him credit after the second knee injury I didn't think we'd see him with the Giants again.
  17. Yeah, it's a problem. More than the sacks there isn't any pressure. Whether it's making adjustments or our front four simply stepping up and beating the guy in front of them they have to get on track. There isn't an easy game on the schedule from here on out and the quality of quarterback only gets better.
  18. I think the protection of Eli is paramount in the mind of the coaching staff and it should be. Hopefully, Brown gets a better grasp of pass protection. I'll take an early 14-0 lead Sunday that way we won't have to worry about it and we can just give him the ball.
  19. that's pretty accurate. They usually have their best gameplan of the year saved for us. The good news is we usually play even worse against them at home.
  20. If Barden had used his height advantage and jumped up to meet the ball instead of fading with Nnamdi and putting him in a chokehold we probably aren't even having this discussion. He wouldn't have caught it I'm sure, but maybe he gets a hand on it, knocks it away and there's no penalty.
  21. I don't remember a game where we had such consistently good starting field position. If you told me we'd begin most of the drives from our own 45 I'd figure we had a pretty good night offensively. Give the Eagles defense credit but it was very discouraging to basically not capitalize at all. Good night for Wilson though hopefully he's the answer to what has been a revolving door at kick returner.
  22. Yeah. He hasn't been very adept at using his size to his advantage. It was just a bad drive. I was thrilled to have 1:49 on the clock only needing a field goal to win. Even with no timeouts, that's usually more than enough time for Eli and this offense to get down the field. Just a poor sequence of plays it happens. Unfortunately, it happened against the Eagles the team I hate losing to more than any other team in the league.
  23. It's early in the year, but maybe age and wear and tear are starting to show a bit with some of our guys. Tuck and Osi have been quiet. Webster hasn't looked the same. It isn't time to panic but it's not unreasonable to think that could be the case.
  24. Yeah, I didn t really understand the last drive. They didn't seem to have it together. We've been spoiled with Eli and his ability to pull these games out most of the time so I'll try and keep that in perspective. I expected more of a focus on shorter routes, but maybe they didn't develop. Either way, the team hung in and while it wasn't the sharpest performance, we were a non call away from a much shorter field goal and probably a win.
  25. Andy Reid looks like a walrus and Tom Coughlin...... Andy Reid looks like a walrus.
