  1. Yeah fuck the Ravens and their Rodney Dangerfield at quarterback. If you have to ask for respect Flacco you probably don't deserve it. I'd like to see the Bengals do something. They have a good young team. I'll take another Peyton Brady classic though. In the NFC I don't care I guess Green Bay I respect the team and theyre fun to watch.
  2. Rich Kotite's son. Seriously, who the fuck are they going to get? I understand the fans frustration of falling short continuously but Reid won a lot of games. The answer better be a good one. They can't replace him with some schlub or a coordinator getting his first crack at a head coaching gig.
  3. I'll give it to Weatherford. He was consistently good on a team and season full of inconsistency.
  4. Agreed. It's even harder when you're trying to repeat. Being the defending champs, every game is a litmus test for the other team.
  5. The problem is the entire team having a shitty year. Look at the numbers. Stats arent everything but to a man basically everyone underperformed. Id say Weatherford, Amukamara, Rolle, and Wilsons return game were some of the few bright spots. Beatty was ok for the most part too.
  6. Agree. We don't have good enough linebackers to run a 3-4. I'm hoping they move Kiwi back to the line and make a serious effort to retool the entire linebacking corps. With Osi leaving and Tuck looking bad we need another pass rusher.
  7. Niners are getting hurt at the worst time. Davis with a concussion, Manningham tearing up his knee, and now this. They aren't going into the playoffs with any momentum. The Cardinals could help that though.
  8. Nicks will be fine if he's healthy next season. Look at his postseason numbers. He's an impact guy and with his free agency coming up after this year I think we get a big performance from him.
  9. Gallery retired earlier this season I believe. I'd like to know who's available though because you're right we need some upgrades.
  10. We got old really fast in a lot of spots. It's going to hurt to see some of these guys go if that has to happen. Diehl and Tuck will be remembered as great Giants but it's pretty clear they're in the twilight of their careers. Webster too and I think some of his struggles can be attributed to injuries but that's a big cap number. This is going to be a huge offseason for Reese and the front office. Philly is down for the moment but Washington took their place and Dallas will still be around. Lots of tough decisions to be made.
  11. The Raiders were asking about him a couple of years back I believe. The Raiders were asking about him a few of years back. I want to say after '09. I think UCONN was interested too.
  12. Yeah, I don't think it's unreasonable to say we panicked. Maybe having points on the board changes the second half a bit but bottom line Atlanta came to play. They obviously didn't forget about last year and I'm sure they heard the talking heads questioning their legitimacy as contenders. This ass kicking might even help for Sunday. Humiliation can be a good motivator. We've seen them respond after bad performances so hopefully they come out angry and give themselves a chance to extend the season.
  13. Pretty much man. He hasn't taken very good care of the ball this year. Nicks definitely isn't the same and that's certainly hurting the offense but it's something we have to deal with for the rest of the year. I expect a big rebound from him next season with his free agency coming up. Our third down defense killed us too. Atlanta was 9/13. That's going to happen against a good team when you can't generate a pass rush. Yesterday sucked but big picture win out and we're in and we've still yet to have a losing season during Eli's tenure. Maybe things won't break for us this year but we'll be alright. We have a coach, a quarterback, and a good talent evaluator in Reese.
  14. We are spoiled you're right. They've given us a lot to be happy about. I would like to see them at least get in though. They've shown this season against quality opponents they should be capable of doing that.
  15. They're inconsistent. It's been like this the whole way minus the 08 season. Eli has been inconsistent. We had a lot of the same issues last season that we do now but the difference was Eli pulling games out of the fire and giving our defense the opportunity to right the ship in the postseason. I won't make excuses but Nicks not being healthy has killed this team. That's a touchdown if he's 100%. Regardless how this season ends this will be the biggest free agency period and draft of this era. Washington is here and a lot of the guys that made the success we had possible are breaking down or might be done entirely. Let's see if they have one more run left. For the record that was the worst shutout loss in history by a defending Super Bowl champ per Westwood One.
  16. He's staying on kick returns according to him. Heard it on WFAN. I'm all for it we don't have the luxury of playing it safe right now. He gives us the best chance at good field position.
  17. It's unfortunate but it's a move I think you had to make with the Wilpons not having or just refusing to spend money to improve the team. D'Arnaud is highly regarded so at least they're getting a potential difference maker. Good for the Blue Jays Dickey will have a lot of success pitching half his starts at Rodgers Centre. I'll be tuning in to that team more now with Reyes and Dickey there.
  18. Yeah it's a big loss. The fact it's a hamstring injury is concerning they tend to linger. Theres a chance White misses this game for Atlanta and if he does that should allow the defense extra attention for Julio Jones. Sucks Bradshaw is out I can't imagine they'll let Wilson stay on kick returns with only Lumpkin and Torain behind him.
  19. We put a crooked number on them for a change. I've been waiting for a while to see that happen.
  20. That might get him player of the week. Great to see his talent on full display tonight. A fresh Wilson is going to be a dangerous weapon in big games here down the stretch if the coaching staff commits to utilizing him.
  21. We're better than Baltimore too they're a farce but I agree 3 wins SHOULD be attainable. What the Giants should do and actually do don't always line up though. If we lose tomorrow it's serious trouble. That would be 4 of the last 5 and that's not a playoff team.
  22. Tomorrow and Philly are games you have to win if you're serious about contending this season. There really isn't any excuse not to win tomorrow at home against a Saints team that's out of the race and has embarrassed you so badly in the past. You can't count on Atlanta resting players if they have everything wrapped up so this is it. They backed themselves into a corner again now they have to win their games.
  23. We haven't really played well the last 4 times we've seen them. I'll give the Redskins credit they played their asses off. We were only inches from some huge plays and their secondary was able to get just enough of the ball on a few occasions.
  24. It seems the Giants save one of their worst offensive gameplans of the year for the Redskins.
  25. We don't score enough touchdowns. That's the biggest problem with this team. It prevented a possible overtime against Pittsburgh and it killed us last night. Tynes is having a huge year for his standards. If we're counting on him to make every kick we don'tdeserve to win. Eli and our receivers are the identity and bread and butter of this team. They aren't finishing drives at all and viewing the season as a whole it's been really choppy. I know Nicks isn't the same but there are other guys here capable of making plays.
