  1. that's usually how it goes when you have two good teams playing in a big game. You don't get to "be lucky" unless you're still playing and we shut out the Falcons and beat the Packers by almost 20 to get there.
  2. Yeah, he's going to give us plenty of headaches and indigestion in the coming years. This schedule could be more of a challenge than last year, especially if Dallas and the Skins are as improved as their week one performance hinted at.
  3. Cruz had a bad game but the entire team got caught with their pants down. If Cruz wasn't getting open I would be more concerned but there were plays to be made. He just didn't catch the ball. I think a little more focus is all that's needed. It was opening night and you hate to be down a game in the division already but let's see how they respond against Tampa before we attribute the struggles to any deep rooted problems.
  4. Yeah it's another brutal schedule. Gotta win the games you're supposed to win this year. I don't think we get away with a Seattle type loss or getting swept by the Skins this season.
  5. Hopefully the extra days between Tampa allows these guys to get healthy, especially Prince. He needs to get out there and play well. I've already seen enough of Tryon.
  6. yeah, it's definitely not time to worry . The injuries at corner are really frustrating but this group has shown they can beat any team in the league when they have everything together. It's a tough schedule this year but one of the few "must wins" is next week against Tampa. I expect a win and for them to look good doing it.
  7. Yeah, there definitely seemed to be a bit of overconfidence on the Giants part. I think Dallas really wanted this one bad after the Giants ruined their season in 2011, especially the embarrassment week 14 in their building.
  8. Cruz will be fine. Dallas was the better team Wednesday night there's no question about it but I think there was a bit of overconfidence on our side and I expect a nice rebound against Tampa.
  9. Yeah it's all relative. Every team has to play with them. I think we'll have the regular refs back sooner rather than later anyway.
  10. Yeah I don't see it being much of an issue.
  11. Yeah I was more than happy to see Webster put it together because I had given up on him. It's good to be wrong sometimes. As for Prince, I'll hold off making any premature judgements. He needs to be able to stay on the field first.
  12. Goddammit. This guy is never going to have a chance at this rate.
  13. They just aren't a very talented roster. Holmes is their most dangerous weapon and when you compare him to our two it's not even a discussion. They didn't find an alternative to Hunter, who was absolutely abused last year or bring in another back to complement Greene. That doesn't bode well for "ground and pound". If they crash and burn it might be the end for Rex but Tanenbaum will definitely be a goner.
  14. Only listened to the game while I was working. The Jets sounded awful and our run blocking needs to improve. It's ok that we're a pass first team now because we want the ball in Eli's hands but I'd rather not endure another year with an anemic ground game. There's time though. Were there any injuries?
  15. Shame for Rogers he's had a very nice career. Atleast he lost some weight that can't be a bad thing for him football or not. Hope he recovers fully. Austin is worrisome. He needs reps so I guess we just have to wait and see. It's just next man up for the time being.
  16. If the running game gets back to form I don't see anything stopping the offense other than ourselves. We're definitely a pass first team now and that's the way it should be with Eli peaking as a quarterback but a ground game defenses need to respect would open things up even more.
  17. He's looking very Sinoricey. There's time to change that though
  18. That drop makes me appreciate the win even more and just makes me realize how easily it could have gone the other way. Championships in every sport are won with good execution and fundamentals but there's usually a little bit of good fortune sprinkled on top. Just about everything has to go right and the fact that the Giants and this current group of players and coaches has two in five seasons is really fucking awesome.
  19. Agreed. It's ok though it's just his " fun loving, goofy personality". Act like you've been there before and not like you just hit your first homer in tee ball. So much for the "Yankee Way".
  20. Definitely Storm. Eli had some big games early in his career. I had the privilege to see his first career win against Dallas and the comeback versus the Broncos in person. It was the inconsistency though. Hell, in 2007 he was outperformed by Cleo Lemon in London in perhaps the worst professional football game I've ever watched. I certainly won't sit here and tell you that I always believed in the guy because I didn't. I had no idea what was going to happen and to be honest, I was worried. Week 17 against New England is where everything really changed.
  21. There aren't many athletes who could get shit on and disrespected(I participated at times) the way Eli did and find success. In the New York market nonetheless. He's turned into a complete gamer and champion. Considering where Eli was his first four years in the league to now is nothing short of remarkable. He has a real opportunity to build on an already awesome resume and become a legend. He already is in New York.
  22. The catch against the Patriots week 9 saved our season in retrospect. I will not forget that.
  23. Yeah, I agree with you about the sour grapes comment. Regardless of the dimensions, they're the same for both teams. Gardner might be gone for a while though Osi I believe he just went for a visit with Dr. Andrews. We'll see though the Yanks are getting great efforts from the starting rotation and they do have plenty of pop in the lineup. Oh!.....and fuck Jason Bay almost forgot.
  24. TAXI!. I've had a DWI and perhaps I'm in no position to speak on the matter but considering professional athletes and their financial situation it seems like a no brainer to call a cab. I would have more fun knowing I have a ride home.
