Nicks experiencing swelling in knee again.

Nevermind he must have changed it. It said this week when I read it earlier the article didn't have any quotes from Coughlin either. -

sorry should have provided a link http://espn.go.com/new-york/nfl/story/_/id/8603118/hakeem-nicks-new-york-giants-wr-experiencing-swelling-knee -
Won't practice this week. I'm assuming this means he won't play but I think that's a good thing at this point. Give him a full two weeks to rest and hopefully some of these issues will clear up for him. We have depth at receiver time to start using it.

28 13 final. Beat the Bengals next week and we're looking good.

I think it's arrogance to a degree. The yards come so easy sometimes that when we run into problems, there isn't a plan or adjustments ready to counter. You can't expect to bomb the ball down the field every time against good defenses. And why Bennett has been fazed out lately I don't know. He's the best tight end we've had here in a while and the first few weeks it looked like he was on his way to a big season.

21-10 and the Saints just fumbled the kickoff. Was 21-3 at half....dammit.

not really what i was implying but a bubble screen or drag route with his speed could be useful.
-
Nah...too creative.

Well, if there was any complacency settling in that should go right out the window with todays performance. I'm just glad they found a way to win the previous two or else we would really have a problem right now.

All the Blackburn Haters can kiss his Rings

Yeah. The position needs an influx of speed and athleticism. I know the focus of the defense has been on the line but with Tuck getting older and Osi likely elsewhere next season maybe that emphasis needs to change a bit. -
1st and goal from the 4. Red zone offense has been a problem all year and it finally caught up to us. Regardless, the Steelers were just the better team today. Other than the sacks we lost every one on one battle out there and the special teams laying an egg didnt help. Oh well on to next week. 7-3 going into the bye would be just fine. I would have easily signed for that before the season started.

Yeah, they do. Polamalu is out again though that should help.

I think we're going to have a good day. Pittsburgh is only flying in today that could disrupt them a bit. Not that the Giants haven't had distractions of their own with the storm but I think the offense gets it together this week and Pittsburgh's offensive line can be exploited. I'm certainly not taking Pittsburgh lightly I just have a good vibe about today.

Ryan and the Falcons have to be under a lot of pressure this season. They really need to win a playoff game this year, probably more than any team in the conference. Getting homefield throughout the playoffs is almost a necessity for them and even if they do seeing a team like the Giants or Packers in that first game wouldn't exactly give me a warm, fuzzy feeling.

I'm breaking my no topic rule.......I LOVE STEVIE BROWN

Ok. I was working while the game was on guess I saw the 7 on the jersey and assumed it was Brown. -
Gotta beat them this time. Definitely Dallas though. It's a home away from home.

Let's see how the rest of the year plays out before we start playing fantasy gm. It's a great problem to have right now and I'm sure Fewell will find a way to keep everyone involved. Brown definitely has a nose for the ball and I don't want to shit in everyones cornflakes but if Bryants hand lands in bounds last Sunday we're probably complaining about Brown being late getting over to the play. -
NFC Special Teams Player of the Month - Lawrence Tynes
Steitzenhaus replied to BleedinBlue's topic in New York Giants
He definitely won the Dallas game. We needed every one of those kicks and he delivered. If there is one thing the offense has trouble with it's not scoring enough touchdowns in the red zone. Tynes making all of his kicks has really helped minimize any damage that could have caused so far. -
I think Reid lost the team yesterday. No excuse to come out flat after a bye at home against a good Falcons squad. Reid and Vick are gone after this season.
-
How bout fucking Tynes though? We needed every one of those kicks and he delivered.

Leading the league in points allowed on the road and 26th at home. I think the Giants are the only team in the league with a negative homefield advantage.

The Good, the Bad, the Ugly... Giants/Skins
Steitzenhaus replied to Sephiroth's topic in New York Giants
I want that game bad. I know we aren't built to beat them in the Superdome but you get them at home this time. I'd like to see Eli do to their defense what Brees has done to ours in the past. -
That is a Bills helmet with a Giants logo. We have great uniforms. Classic and simple why change it. As for Cruz, he will get paid by the Giants. It will be interesting to see what happens with Nicks though. I love the guy, but his missing games has become a trend and with Randle in the pipeline along with Eli being able to get the best out of whatever receiver is out there the Giants might not pay him or even be able to pay him depending on what Cruz gets and the cap situation.

Yeah, the forced fumbles by Joseph and Pierre-Paul were two guys making plays. And as usual, Eli made a play when the team needed it. It wasn't pretty at all really but you're not going to play your best football week in week out. Sometimes you just have to survive. It's the characteristic of a good, well coached team.
