  1. Let Web prove the playoffs weren't a fluke, and if he plays bad, we have a great insurance policy in Madison.
  2. ...I would suspect tongue is firmly planted in cheek with this article (if it is in fact an article).
  3. ...do we look at linebackers for depth? Too bad Spikes got scooped up by the Niners... but is there anyone else available who's decent (I know, I know... if they're available, that means they're probably not "decent.")
  4. I can't believe the CBS affialiate outta Boston is running Minnesota/Pittsburgh instead. :brooding: Seriously... you're in the northeast. Who do you think really gives a fuck about those two teams?
  5. If you wanna watch the game on line, just stand on a line outside a local sports bar and peek through a window. Or hangout on the bathroom line and watch from there.
  6. That's true... but I also think that's what separates the fans from the fanatics. When you watch a play for the first or even second time, you're concerned about down, yardage, etc. But when you examine the play more, you start to notice all kinds of subtle things that you missed the first time around. Things like, "Oh my God, Chris Snee just pancaked that tackle," or "Jeremy Shockey gave up on that route." You get to really study the game tape. Dorky, I know, but I'm a fanatic.
  7. Now he's said too much. Consider this the hint of the century.
  8. Maybe we can trade Thomas, Phillips and Eli for Brett Favre.
  9. He also missed three extra points this year. Yes... EXTRA POINTS. The kick my grandma can make.
  10. Carr looks to have the tools... quick release, strong arm, velocity, tight spiral... but I did notice when the rush got to him he looked rattled. If he can get his head on straight he'll be a good backup. Anthony Wright flat-out sucks, showed me nothing last night. Weak arm, bad/slow decision making, no pocket presence.
  11. Why did we ever cut Matt Bryant? The guy is money.
  12. Am I the only one who thought Ware looked a lot like Ryan Grant?
  13. Anthony Wright is the smallest of upgrades over Tim Hasselbeck... who couldn't even have started on an Arena League team. Seriously. He was that bad.
  14. That's it... I'm drafting Hixon #1 overall in my fantasy draft.
  15. Considering his old man's history with the team it's probably a really bad idea. I wish him all the success in the world though. He might be a decent QB if he played for someone other than Gruden.
  16. I have a funny feeling that the wheels may come off the Cowboy's Super Bowl Bus this year. There's a toxic combination on that team that I don't have confidence can be righted if they start off slow. 1. Volatile Players. T.O? Tank Johnson? Pac-Man Jones? Hell, Patrick Crayton (got a big mouth towards the end of last year)? Should the Cowgirls start out 1-3, how do those clowns react? 2. A weak head coach. "Players Coach" is NFLese for "big softie." I'm not sure there's anyone on the Dallas coaching staff that invokes the fear of God... certainly not Wade Phillips. If there's a bad start to the season, Phillips and Garrett aren't gonna be able to reign in the above listed players and keep them from shooting their mouths off. 3. First-place schedule. Always complicates things. 4. Sky-high expectations. Remember when it was "Super Bowl or Bust" for the Giants? We finished 4-12. Similarly, everyone is picking the Cowgirls to win the Super Bowl... and they haven't played a single snap yet. Worse yet, reports outta Dallas have the team and coach believing their own hype. I'm gonna settle on 10-6 for Dallas and a wild-card berth... with meltdowns all along the way.
  17. That's actually a really good point. We forget a lot about the success Coughlin had in Jacksonville... and he remained mostly successful until the injury bug struck for three consecutive seasons. If Cough wins another one I'd have to day that vaults him to the top in the NFC.
  18. Holmgren is pretty good, Coughlin is pretty good, and Gruden is a good coach (even though I can't stand him... too concerned with making stupid faces on the sideline).
  19. We are season ticket holders. Some guy there said to mail the Giants and let them know that, and we might be able to get a VIP pass that way.
  20. THAT, my friend is the question. The only answer I got was "you have to know someone." :brooding:
  21. ...the only way this coulda been sweeter would have been if Scarlett Johansen had blown me at halftime. (Okay, okay... if ANYBODY had blown me at halftime)
  22. So I woke up at 6:45 today... mom and dad stayed at my house last night... except I wasn't actually "waking up" because I didn't sleep all night. Well anyways, I drove all the way to Albany... only to find... practice had moved indoors, and you couldn't get in unless you were "V.I.P." Now I feel like poop.
