  1. Well... scratch Olivea off the list. :brooding:
  2. I'm hearing Koets (last year's only draft dud) has really turned it on this year. Also, I tought Olivea was going to be a backup for either McKenzie or Diehl... isn't Olivea a tackle? Whimper has been mostly quiet, but I thought he looked decent filling in for DD in limited action last year. Doesn't Reugamer back up both center and guard? Overall, I actually think we're in better shape this year than last. I like how we're looking.
  3. There's always a trendy pick every year for a "worst-to-first" turnaround... I don't know how many times THIS has been the year the Lions will "turn the corner." Who do you think will make the playoffs of the bottom-feeders?
  4. I turned my old Barber jersey into a Kenny Phillips one. It's ghettoriffic!
  5. And THAT guy (Adam Koets) is drawing rave reviews in THIS camp.
  6. I think the fact that he actually IS injured is what's keeping him from getting a new deal. If he comes out healthy and has 300+ yards and 3 TDs by week 3, look for a new contract to get done real quick.

The fact that nobody has heard about this at all until now and kickoff is... what... tomorrow... kinda tells you all you need to know.
  8. I was thinking about that too. I just like the way that guy plays. You can always get 'em custom made.
  9. Sorry if this was brought up already, but after watching the Giants victories leading up to the Superbowl, something struck me: there was GREAT officiating in pretty much all five games of the DVD set. There were a few calls that perhaps could have gone either way, but overall, there weren't any BLATANTLY bad calls and/or judgement calls that were out of line. For the most part, they let the teams play, and penalized them only when neccessary. Here's to good officiating.
  10. lol... wish I could take credit for the nut hug... but someone posted it in GD during the last Favre circus... remember when he was going to the Super Bowl to play Tom Brady in the biggest game ever?
  11. Officially put me in the "worried" column. The fact that he hasn't gotten a new contract done either is a little alarming... no team wants to sign a guy with injury issues. :/
  12. I drove all the way to Orleans VT to watch the first preseason game with my parents... and it's not fucking on. What the fuck?
  13. Also... what does this do for all the Jets/Pats matchups this year? It at least makes 'em worth watching.
  14. ...is coming to a city near you. And it's the best thing that can happen to the New York Giants. We're going to be ignored, brushed aside, and teken for granted... and you know the G-men are gonna be wicked pissed about it. Plus, Favre is gonna suck (he was flat-out BAD for three years or so before he got the best stable of receivers in the league) and by midseason everyone will be calling for his head. This is GOOD for the Giants. GO G-MEN!!!
  15. My slingbox crapped out a little while ago, but when I had it I loved it. Live TV from anywhere you can get on a wifi network. I watched a Giants game in OHare Airport one time and used to watch TV on my break all the time too. It's good stuff.
  16. ...looks like a steamy pile of dog shit.
  17. I swear to god these were the Yahoo ads next to an article I was reading about Michael Strahan this morining: ...personally, I'm looking for a flight to Strahan. Good thing to know I can get the best deal.
  18. Steven Jackson = way overrated. Every mock fantasy draft I do has him going as the second to fourth pick... and all I do is laugh my ass off...
  19. I read an interesting article the other day. The Pack doesn't want Brett back, but they don't want to trade him to a division rival either... so he's not good enough to start, but he's too good to play against. But anyways, the guy said... why not TRADE him to the Vikes? They'd get the Vikes first rounder (and possibly more), and if they really think Favre isn't better than Rodgers, then they get a chance to prove it twice a year. Plus, generally speaking, the Vikes are an older team... with no first rounder (and possibly another pick), a young team like G.B. is poised to own the division for a while as the Vikes get old overnight. Food for thought.
  20. Yep... same injury Sinorice LOSS had... (I still think that name is funny. Who came up with that again?)
  21. I always liked Chad Bratzke. Blue collar, hard working guy who took a long time to replace once he was gone. Dude spent the first year on the practice squad and ended up as a borderline Pro Bowler.
  22. The bad thing is... after this season, Ward and Jacobs are BOTH free agents. We can go from stocked cupboard to bare really quickly.
  23. This is great news. When the pundits all love the Giants, we finish 6-10. When they predict we'll suck, we do things like... win the Superbowl.
