  1. the 2001 season we had Amani Toomer finish with 1300+ yards (I believe) and Ike Hilliard had... 999. So that was pretty close.
  2. I know we say this every year, but... how the fuck is Tynes still on the team? This is his second miss in two weeks. Cut that useless shitwad.
  3. Seriously, he's the fucking man. I'm so glad the Giants didn't listen to me and kept him.
  4. This opens the door for Sinorice Moss to get the start. I'm predicting 5 catches, 189 yards, 3 TDs.
  5. Who fucking cares? Why do you guys even respond to that asshole... you fall right into his game. Stay gone, dipshit.
  6. That actually is great news. We get SoCal back in time to fill in while Tuck is healing!
  7. Once everyone catches on that they beat us in the Giants Stadium opener, and we beat them in the Dumbass Hick Stadium opener... it's all they're gonna talk about for weeks leading up to the game.
  8. That's a great point. I almost think that the offense of the Giants is SO complicated... lots of audibles, reads, etc... that nobody can really understand it until they're in year two anyway, and it probably takes 4+ years to master. I read an interview with Bart Starr a bunch of years ago where he was talking about working with Vince Lombardi, and at one point Lombardi is saying to him, "what's wrong with you? You don't SEE! Why can't you see? Then one day he got under center... and everything made sense to him all of a sudden. He could "see." And from that point on, he was a different player, a different quarterback. I think that light may have gone on with our boy Eli.
  9. Even when I was really down on Eli (and I was probably the MOST down on him) you could never deny that he ran one hell of a two minute drill. It's the rest of his game that has really come a long way... particularly his accuracy.
  10. Somebody must have changed it back because I can't find anything remotely funny about that article.
  11. I remember hearing that game from the womb. I was born two months later to the day.
  12. I dunno man... every game I watched had Ware drawing the double teams, not Canty. Or maybe I'm just having Kenny Holmes flashbacks... the guy who never produced but was "young and we're getting him in his prime." I also got to witness Canty... take a bad angle and get outrun by a punter last Sunday. On TV it looked like he was blocked, but he basically ran right into the block. Ugh. Not impressed so far.
  13. LOL I know. I was thinking I shoulda made the bet for week two.
  14. That's what I mean. We paid him "Pro Bowl," "sackmaster," etc. money, and he's a run-stuffing (i.e. dime-a-dozen) DT. We probably could have gotten a guy that'll do a similar job on the cheap.... Canty isn't worth Tuck money... sorry, he's just not. It was a weak DT market and we overpaid for the guy. I hope I'm wrong... but five sacks playing next to Demarcus Ware? :wtf:
  15. ...people are REALLY gonna be pissed when he does come back and we all realize... he's not very good anyway. Still scratching my head over that signing. Why did we give him better-than-Tuck money when he's got a whopping zero Pro Bowls under his belt?
  16. That was actually two weeks pay, believe it or not. I thought Moss would be #4 on the depth chart by the first game, so I bet Tree a dollar. Hey, I was only one off. So what'd you buy, Tree? I prolly woulda bought a Whopper Jr.
  17. Fine. You fucking won, OK? What's your email addy so I can pay you via PayPal? But mark my words... by the end of the season, Moss will have grown on you like... uh.... Moss.
  18. The seat is section 127 (opponent's end zone), row 17, seat 4. Ticket is face value (between 90-100 bucks, I forget exactly how much they're going for this year). Sorry I don't have more, but a friend of mine was supposed to go to the game with me and has bailed. We'll probably be doing some tailgating, etc. before the game as well. It's me and my folks that're going (they're rabid Giants fans). PM me if interested. And GO GIANTS!!!!
  19. Two words; Chris Snee. Haynesworth will be HaynesworthLESS by the end of the night.
  20. Winner - Giants Score - 24-21 Top Passer: Eli Manning 17-for-25 190 yards, TD Top Rusher: Brandon Jacobs 137 yards, TD Top Receiver: Kevin Boss, 5 catches, 83 yards... after Sinorice Moss has 367 yards and 5 TDs, of course.
  21. The Fox Sports Power Rankings just said that Dallas will finish last.... and it's Barak Obama's fault.
  22. I'll second that. I'm not sold on Canty, his huge salary (bigger than Tuck and Osi), and his whopping ZERO Pro Bowl appearances at all. Why are we giving millions to a RUN STOPPING DT?
  23. We're going to crush the 'Skins and Prince Albert... and I'll be there cheering on our G-men! Go GIANTS!
  24. LOL. All joking aside though, maybe I've just missed the games where Moss has played like shit. Didn't he just catch TWO tds against starters last week? He drops passes? Really? Because I know Mario Manningham, Steve Smith, and Domenik Hixon have caught every ball thrown their way. Let's not forget that one play before his legendary, highlight-reel performance, Tyree ran the wrong route in the Super Bowl and if Butterfingers Samuel holds on to the ball we're all talking about how Eli chokes in front of 160 million people instead of talking about "the catch." Moss might not be great... but I'd have to say he's at least as good as the other guys we've got, and would probably make a damn good slot receiver.
