  1. I subscribe to the NYG podcast and try to keep up to date on all things Giants-related... and all I hear outta camp is about how Barden is nothing as advertised. He's tall, but is actually QUICK off the line and is catching everything thrown his way. Also, from all accounts... his work ethic is second to none. Man, I hope this guy pans out. I'm really rooting for him. Anyways, enjoy.
  2. LOL my old man has had tickets since the Gmen played at the Fairgrounds. Now granted... on two teachers' salaries, my family had to basically eat Top Ramen for three months before we got the bill for the tickets... but it was worth it.
  3. I'm doing Giants-Carolina preseason this week. Also doing Giants/Skins opener, Giants/Raiders, and Giants/Eagles. Should be fun.
  4. They're all fake, but the fact that the production and direction of those clips sparks any debate is a testament to how cool the commercials are. And that commercial was WICKED cool.
  5. Yeah, I sorta think that too. If Romo can take the next step and win down the stretch, they can be a real threat... remember, it wasn't more than two years ago that a certain team from New York had a QB who "couldn't get it done in December." Hell, Eli's brother had to put up with, what... eight years of that shit? Now he's a Hall of Fame lock. And let's not forget Romo won't have the "Jessica Simpson" jinx this year. Wade Phillips, on the other hand... inspires confidence in no one. Everything they say about that guy is true.
  6. I thought Merriman's steroids charge was of the "I took X, Y, and Z supplement and the A, B, and C parts of it weren't listed on the label" variety. If that's not the case, I'd take Ware instead. I don't like cheaters.
  7. I'd have to say Merriman. LB is the one spot on the team where we don't really have anybody that strikes fear into the heart of the opponent... though WR is a close second.
  8. The Eagles, and honestly... the Cowboys. Everyone is counting the 'boys out, but no T.O. is addition by subtraction, and if Tony Romo can play in December and January like he does in September and October they'll be a tough team to beat.
  9. I hope he does well. I can't fault the Giants for letting him go when they did, as he's clearly lost a few steps... but I always liked him.
  10. He certainly has been doing a great King Midas impersonation since becoming GM.
  11. You know, after watching film of him it looked like he had really stiff hips and wasn't good at changing direction, but from the sounds of things in camp that isn't the case at all. Let's hope he keeps up the solid play. Also... let's give props to both Sintim and Moss for rehabbing, being smart, and getting healthy for the first day of team camp after suffering setbacks in minicamp.
  12. Nice man! How did Nicks look? And how about Danny Ware?
  13. That's a shame. Division rival or not, the guy was always sharp and innovative... not to mention a class act and great person. RIP JJ.
  14. I might do Monday, Jay. I'll have to see. Albany's only about 45 mins from me, so I'll definitely make camp a few times this summer.
  15. Boss is the perfect TE for our system... quiet, workmanlike, but with great hands, size, and deceptive speed. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he becomes a favorite of Eli in the Red Zone this year.
  16. Here's my five: 1. Eli will have his best statistical season this year, posting MVP-type numbers. We're going to hear about Plaxico Burress and his zero Pro Bowl appearances all season long, rest assured, but Eli won't miss a beat with the young guys we've got. In fact, we're going to hear about how in college, Eli had the ability to "make everyone around him better," and we're going to see that on the field. No Shockey, no Tiki, no Plax... this is Eli's team now. 2. Kenny Phillips will have a Pro Bowl type season. If you go back and watch tape from last year, Phillips has great sideline-to-sideline skills, hits like a mother, and always seemed to be in the right position to make plays. Hell, even the pass that Torry Holt caught over him was more luck than anything, as Phillips was in perfect position. He'll be a force in the defensive backfield. 3. By week eight, fans will be disappointed with Chris Canty. Why the Giants paid so much for this guy, I'll never know (he's making more than Justin Tuck... and they're not even in the same ballpark when it comes to skills). Yeah, he's tall with a huge wingspan, but c'mon... five sacks last year playing next to Demarcus Ware? I've been paying a lot of attention to Canty the past month or so on NFL Replay, and he hasn't impressed. On a similar note, Rocky Bernard will totally OUTPLAY his contract and come up huge for us this year... he'll double Canty's sack totals. 4. Kevin Gilbride's dog shit playcalling will lose us at least two games we should win. Sixty MPH winds against the league's worst run D? Time to AIR IT OUT, BABY! That being said, we'll still have a top-ten offense. 5. Sinorice Moss will have 2200 receiving yards and 23 TDs this season, en route to a Pro Bowl season. The Giants will erect a statue outside the new Giants Stadium in his honor, and he will become the first player to be inducted into Canton while still playing football. Treehugger, however, will still find a reason to not pay me my dollar.
  17. I'm glad Justin Tuck got his own channel... I mean, Brett Favre and Michael Vick already have theirs, so why not?
  18. We've got three guys I like better that DON'T have hands of stone. Fuck Will Allen.
  19. I'm not convinced about "The Eagles Revamped Offensive Line." Jason Peters showed up fat and outta shape and played like shit last year, but still wanted a new contract. Stacey Andrews... honestly... I had never even heard of the guy before he signed with the Eagles. We're putting McBad on his ass at least another dozen times this year.
  20. Actually, Tavaris Jackson is one of Clinton Portis' weird secret identities.
  21. ...one day I'm going to collect all your posts and publish a "Giants Poetry Book."
  22. I'm totally going this year. I went last year and it got rained out.
