  1. 1. More Clint, especially on blitzes. 2. "Four Aces" package with Canty on the outside and Osi as a linebacker. 3. Nickel packages on first and second down, or possibly moving a corner to safety. 4. Jacobs running plays that Jacobs usually runs and Danny Ware taking the "Derrick Ward" plays. In fact, I expect to see a lot of Ware in the upcoming weeks (or a lot more than we've seen to this point, at least). 5. Hakeem "Velcro" Nicks gets an almost even split with Mario "Butterfingers" Manningham. 6. Ramses Barden is active, Sinorice Moss is not.
  2. The Giants had the WHOLE team practice for the first time since last season. Bradshaw, Ross, and Canty were all participants. It's a good time to get healthy.
  3. Hmm... and here I thought we still had seven more games.
  4. If our board members were smart enough to ignore all of his threads/posts, he'd be out of here for good.
  5. If we can just keep having byes until week 17, we'll cruise into the playoffs.
  6. Jenny Vrentas is not hot. And that's unfortunate. Kimberly Jones... now that's a Giants Girl that could end up in my bed.
  7. We're saying we're "behind the times" when a year ago we had argurably the best sophomore class the francise has ever seen... and we're pining for the days of a Jim Fassel offense thinking THAT was better and less predictable? Fassel inspired the players more than the guy we've got in there now? Jeremy Shockey?!?! it's a joke, right? We still have a winning record. Two years ago we finished 10-6 and won the Super Bowl after a late-season rally. Last year we kicked everyone's asses until the last few weeks and got a first-round playoff loss. This coaching staff (minus Spags) JUST WON THE SUPERBOWL a mere TWO years ago. We were arguably the best team in the NFC for most of last season. We've been in the playoffs EVERY year for the past four. Yes, things look bad and there are is a lot to bitch about but... can we keep just a LITTLE bit of perspective? Dude.. Jim Fassel....
  8. I wasn't too high on the Sintim pick until I saw him play... he looks pretty good. Why aren't we giving him a shot? I've been saying for years we need to groom someone to eventually take over for Pierce... the guy never had a step to lose, so when he loses that step he's REAL bad. LB and Safety are two top priorities. Therefore, look for the Giants to draft a pass rushing end in round 1.
  9. Two words for you: "Omaha." "Omaha."
  10. The problem with the Giants is multi-tiered. Eli is playing very poorly. Is this due to his foot, or are we seeing his annual late-season swoon a bit early this year? He's like the little girl with the curl... The Defense looks awful. Where are the big plays? Where is the 200 million dollar line? I'm sorry, but Tuck and Osi need to be bringing pressure and they're just flat-out not. Are they both playing hurt too, or are they just uninspired... or not that good? And no, don't expect Canty to bring any pass rush to the table. I'll be surprised if he finishes with five sacks this year. We overpaid for him. Jacobs is running much too tentatively and not seeing the holes. I have no idea what's wrong with him. Get your pads lower and your knees higher, guy. The recievers drop sure TDs (Manningham) or aren't strong enough to wrestle the jump ball away from a defender (Smith and Hixon). Antonio Pierce has been exposed for being too slow. How many TEs have to catch a TD this year with Pierce in coverage? Tynes should be kicking in the Arena League. I have no clue what's up with Feagles. If we go to 5-5, we need some wholesale changes up front. Feature Bradshaw and bring another back into the mix to split carries with Jacobs, put a practice squad guy or someone off the street to fill in at Safety, give Sintim a shot, and for Christ's sake, change up the fucking schemes on defense.
  11. We got ranked exactly where we deserve. We look like shit against winning teams. Not even elite teams... unless you think the Cardinals and Eagles are elite.
  12. I'm willing to give Rouse a shot. We KNOW Brown plays like shit (no pun intended) but there's a small chance Rouse might be at least a little bit better.
  13. Yep. It's a sad day where I'd rather take a nap then watch the second half of a Giants game. Fuck these losers.
  14. Yeah I went to the bar for a bit. Eli looks like dog shit, Jacobs is running like a girl, C.C. Brown can't cover for a Pop Warner team, and for once I agree with Jakk... Antonio Pierce sucks.
  15. I was wondering the same thing. JustinTV stream went down at kickoff.
  16. I'm actually watching the first game of the world series.
  17. Traditionally we do better as an underdog when the deck is stacked against us. The year we won the super bowl we had a LOT of bad losses (Minnesota anyone). Last year we kicked every future playoff teams' ass and were rewarded with a first round playoff exit. Worry about heat in the cold months... December and January.
  18. Right on! Waffles are delicious!
  19. ...I'd much rather have an English Muffin either with natural Peanut Butter or with Bacon, Egg and Cheese.
  20. Yep. I was saying during the game, "if you can't beat 'em... hurt 'em." I'm one more lousy pass-rushing game away from declaring the Giants D-line "overrated."
  21. ...plus imagine the rather dodgy trademark infringement when Big Ben comes to play in bloody London, eh wot?
  22. Hate to say it, but I'll take Aikman over Collinsworth any day.
  23. I think Richard Seymour is calling his Pats buddies before every interview and telling them, "wait till you see what I say TONITE... you'll laugh your asses off!"
  24. "Overrated" popped into my head more than a few times, too... like when Osi was being schooled by an undrafted rookie.
  25. You guys both bring up good points... the Saints are as good a team as any to lose to... but by double-digits it's both embarrassing and alarming. But let's not forget that plenty of Super Bowl teams have had embarrassing losses like this in the past. The year the 49ers won with Steve Young, they lost something like 41-10 to the Eagles.... it happens. The good teams are the ones that pick themselves up, make the necessary adjustments and go at it again... we're 5-1, the sky isn't falling yet.
